As a child, Dr. Beckler dreaded trips to the dentist like many kids do. This sparked his interest in pursuing dentistry that gives patients a better experience! He has been in family practice dentistry since finishing school. In their free time, Dr. Beckler and his family enjoy sports, church, music, golf, and spending time with friends. Dr. Beckler and his wife Karla have three children, all of whom attend school. Andrew plans to attend Kansas State University on a golf scholarship next year, their daughter Brooke captains the University of Arizona pom line, and their daughter Darci is a member of 'The Dancing Blues' dance team at Washburn Rural High School.
Dr. Houck has been in the dental industry since she worked as an undergraduate dental assistant. After finishing school, she worked serving low-income families at Marian Clinic in Topeka for two years. Dr. Houck worked for several years as an associate at Topeka Smiles before partnering with Dr. Beckler. Dr. Houck enjoys sailing, reading, traveling, and hiking in her free time. She maintains a belief that smiles are universal - giving people the happy, healthy smiles they've always wanted is one of her top priorities.
Dr. Myers is a native of Topeka, graduating from Topeka High School. While Dr. Myers didnt come from a family with a background in dentistry, many of his good family friends have careers in the dental field. Dr. Myers practiced dentistry for 3 years in Holton, Kansas before joining Drs. Houck and Beckler at Topeka Smiles. Dr. Myers prides himself on being committed to providing comfortable, quality care to his patients at Topeka Smiles. In his spare time, you will likely find Dr. Myers spending time at the lake, wrangling his puppy Truman, or planning his next trip with his wife, Morgan.

Best dental experience i've had! They were able to get me in last minute, when I unfortunately had a permanent retainer malfunction from a previous Orthodontist. Everybody was so kind, from the front desk staff to the Dental Hygienist. Cody was my Hygienist and he was so awesome! They were very clear with the charges, which obviously I was worried about as a college student . But overall, am so glad I went here, and will for sure make this my primary dentist office! (Also I loved the office room, it was so cute to see all the little birds on the deck).

Had a severe tooth infection and also needed a emergency root canal done. I couldnt eat or sleep or hardly even talk. They were going to wait 12 days to see me. Went to another dentist, they not only saw me that day and got me medications, but got me in 3 days later to get the root canal done. Topeka smiles wouldnt take my pain or urgency seriously, and even hung up on me.

My mother took me here when I was a kid. Decided to go back as an adult, Dr. Beckler is one of the most arrogant, JUDGMENTAL dentists I have ever met. My most recent experience he COMPLETELY missed an entire cavity I had. The hygienist found it after not being able to get in for 4 months. She tried to cover it up and say it wasnt visible before the cleaning. COMPLETE lie. An untrained eye could of seen it. Let's face it he is getting old and should retire. Also never be 10 minutes later or you will be charged 75 dollars for a no show fee. I WOULD never spend another dime here. I have nice teeth and felt judged because I haven't been in a few years. Save your MONEY and TIME, go somewhere else.

Today was my son's first cleaning here! And he had the most pleasant experience! This made me so happy, because his past experiences with other dentists weren't very good! So for him to feel happy and confident with his well cleaned teeth means everything to me! I most definitely will recommend this place!

I highly recommend Topeka Smiles. The staff is always friendly and I don't have to wait long for my appointments. My dental hygienist is very good and gives great after care advice.

Checked in 15 minutes early for my 1100 appointment. At 1120 and having 2 people go ahead of me I clarified with the clerk that my appoimtment was indeed at 1100. I was told there were 2 dentist juggling patients and I would be seen 'in just a minute.' At 1140 I still was not seen and 3 more people after me were.

This is definitely the best dental practice I have ever been to and bad teeth run in my family. So happy to have found them at least ten years ago! They all are kind, gentle and very honest with their charges and that makes a huge difference for me as I don't have dental insurance. They work with you on the major things like crowns, so I appreciate them so much.
