Born and raised in Germany, Dr. Joseph Goodman earned his dental education (1990-1996) at one of Europes top dental schools, the University of Aachen. He finished his studies and doctoral thesis in Germany with great honors such as Magna cum Laude and achieved his degree of Doctor of Medical Dentistry (DMD).

Although trained in all categories of modern dentistry, Dr. Goodmans main interest has always been in the field of cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry (prosthodontics). After working in Germany for several years in the department of prosthodontics and reconstructive dentistry, he immigrated to Los Angeles in 1998. Dr. Goodman took the California Dental Board at UCLA and received his second degree as a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) with highest grades. Furthermore, Dr. Goodman participated in the Advanced Education in Prosthodontics postgraduate program at USC and the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program at UCLA. Both programs as well as many postdoctoral courses in cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry give him advanced knowledge and hands-on skills in these great fields of modern dentistry.

He has lectured internationally in Europe about cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry. Dr. Goodman has been featured in many articles and interviews; and was voted Best Dentist and Top Dentist in both 2009 and 2010 by his peers and Consumer Research Group, USA. In November of 2016, Dr. Joseph Goodman was invited to the United Arab Emirates by the Royal Family to perform a cosmetic dental treatment. He spent some time in Dubai and Abu Dhabi to complete the dental treatment. The lab cases were sent to Germany for highest quality and workmanship. In April 2017, Dr. Goodman was also invited by the Dental Association of Bahrain to lecture about Beverly Hills Cosmetic Dentistry.
