Dr. Baek and his staff at Top Dental believe you should not have to block off an entire day for a simple dental visit. This is why we respect our patients time at Top Dental and always avoid overbooking. Dental care should always be convenient, and our entire team strives for that goal. To add to our convenience, we are open on weekends until 7 p.m.
Additionally, Dr. Baek is committed to honesty and integrity in dentistry. He will not over-diagnose or push procedures that you do not need. Our role is to inform, educate, and care for our patients, leaving the final decisions to you.
Finally, we understand it can be difficult to fit necessary dental care into your finances. For this reason, we offer financing through CareCredit and Lending Club. We also accept all major PPO dental plans.
Dr. Joon Baek is your friendly local dentist who will provide comprehensive dental care to meet all your dental needs. Dr. Baek ensures that every aspect of your visit will be individually and specifically tailored to provide the most comfortable, relaxing, and productive experience possible.
Dr. Baek has had extensive education and training. He completed his undergraduate degree in molecular cell biology at the University of California, Berkeley, with an emphasis in immunology. He then went on to earn his DDS degree from the UCLA School of Dentistry in 2011. He has been treating patients for over a decade, and he constantly engages in numerous hours of continuing education to ensure he always delivers top quality dental care.
Dr. Baek served in the US Army and was on active duty from 2001 to 2003 at Fort Riley in Kansas. Dr. Baeks military service did not stop there. He also joined the California Army National Guard in 2009 as a dental officer and served for another six years.

They are not oral surgeons so save your money on X-rays and exam and go straight to an oral surgeon if you need a tooth pulled

Dr. Joon baek is superb & I anticipate future care in his incredibly efficient, caring & thoroughly professional office. He addresses complex issues and I am confident that no other dentist could put me so at ease as I am in his office. Plus, Noah, the hygienist, is the best I have ever met. Kerri is terrific.

Wow Not only is Dr. Baek the best dentist I've ever seen, he's got the best staff to compliment him. Daniel & Ned really helped make me comfortable and give me a great experience. I get my teeth cleaned every 3 months and I move often so I've been to many different dentist. I drive far to go to Top Dental because it's so worth it. The massage chairs in the waiting room are such a nice touch. Being able to watch Netflix while my teeth are being cleaned made the time go by fast. If you are anywhere near the RGV I highly recommend going here even if you have to drive an hour. You won't regret it. Cleanest office I've ever seen. The vibe was on point. You can tell Dr. Baek really pays attention to details. Best experience in medical service I've ever had.

This dental office offers an exceptionally nice and clean experience. The staff was all very professional and polite, the office was well maintained and sanitary, the equipment from the X-ray machine to the waiting room chairs to the dental chairs etc is all new and very comfortable. The dental hygienists Ned was super good at what he does, truly the best quality cleaning I have ever experienced and I get cleanings every 3 months and have been doing so for 10 years in 5 states and this was the best I've had. The dentist himself os also very professional, very clear and very helpful. I love that he is more conservative when it comes to drilling or making changes that may not be needed just yet. They really took their time with me and broke everything down, and they were kind enough to work with my budget to make it as affordable as possible since I do not have dental insurance. This place is the best dental provider around and if you want quality work done from a friendly kind staff this is well worth the drive to go here. A+++

I want to give 10 stars! Did cleaning twice and filling. Dr Bae is very professional and not money driven at all! I didn't feel any discomfort when doing the filling treatment. This is a doctor you can surely trust! Highly recommend! Respect!

I avoid dentist because of past multiple experiences, Dr. Park was highly recommended and to my surprise they were not wrong, he is amazing and patience, no pain when he is working on you.He is my always to go dentist forever, I hope he does ever retire, he is for the patient not the numbers..

Seriously, the best dentistry that I have ever experienced! I went in for an exam and teeth cleaning as a new patient last week. First of all, the staff is very very welcoming and friendly. The front desk lady and the person who guided me through the forms x-rays, etc,, had such a bright energy that I really appreciated :) The waiting room is cozy and clean. Also, I love the fact that they have a TV with Netflix in each room for the patients! Noah, the hygienist who took care of me, let me play a documentary show as some background noise haha. It did make me feel more relaxed and comfortable during the treatment and made waiting less of an inconvenience. Noah cleaned my teeth very thoroughly! I regularly get teeth cleaned every year, and this was the least painful cleaning I had done and the most satisfying result I have had. He was very gentle and kind during the cleaning and rechecked with me to make sure nothing felt rough or incomplete in the end too. Seriously, a perfect cleaning done :) !! Dr.Baek was very authentic, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. I have experienced many other dentistries that try to get you to pay for treatment. Dr. Baek is not like that! He genuinely cares about your teeth and gum health. I asked several questions regarding my gum health and he addressed all my concerns. Rather than just using my worries to sell more treatments, he very transparently and humbly educated me and shared his opinion about what he thought was the best for me with his knowledge and experience. It was my first time leaving a dentistry feeling totally satisfied. I am very glad that I found Top dental ! I am bringing my husband and my kiddo for sure as well.

The best experience ever! From the moment you walk in until your dental work is completed, all staff and Dr. Baek treat you right. The installations are great and their dental equipment is top of the line. I was totally impressed by their excellent customer service and by Dr. Baek's exceptional dental work.

Excellent care at Top Dental. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with calm and friendly faces. Everything was explained to us before it was done. Prices were reasonable and they gave me a discount on a few items. The waiting room is pleasant with comfortable chairs, drink cooler, and 2 full body massage chairs. The rooms have Netflix television sets and the hygienist was very nice and professional. I will be back!

After reading all the great reviews on here I thought I'd give this place a try. The staff and dental assistants are great ...the Dentist on the other hand was not . I visited this place twice and each time he would look at my x rays in frustration of all the work I needed to get done . The 2nd time I visited he said " oh you have horrible horrible cavities and shook his head " .I wanted this place to be where I could achieve that perfect smile I've been wanting :( but this place was not it . If you don't want to be put down don't come here . Especially if you have anxiety he won't work with you .This place lost me as a customer.

I am a first responder on assignment in the McAllen area. My bridge failed and exposed a nerve that caused me pain. I was concerned about the teeth color matching up since the bridge was my front teeth. The color matched perfectly. The staff, the Dr. and the atmosphere were exceptional. I felt like I had been going there for years, not days. I highly recommend Top Dental!

I rarely write reviews. But Dr. Baek is very honest and does an excellent dental work. You are well greeted and very clean. Some dentists are so money hungry. But I have never seen such an honest and well respected dentist in my life!

I made contact on Friday this past week and was in need of a dentist and a second opinion. Seems most dentists are closed on weekends here in the RGV. So, I set up an appointment for Sunday at 5 pm. Sent in all my electronic forms signed and was ready to go. Get to their location and follow their protocol and call to let them know I am outside. I make contact by phone and then I'm informed that my appointment was cancelled due to not confirming. I informed them I never received a text or call and had the messages in front of me and she said that they had notes as well that I did not confirm. I explained to her, that why would I set up an appointment for a Sunday at 5pm and cancel after I explained how I needed this taken care of. Then after a brief hold, she informs me that oh, they can get me in for an exam but will probably not give treatment. Common sense and good judgement seem to be lacking in the front office here.

Right when I walked in I was greeted. Everything was nice and clean. Every person I met there was kind and took the time to explain any questions I had (being a new patient) from the receptionist to the dr. I would totally recommend this place if your looking for a new dentist. I went in for an exam on my wisdom teeth and gave me a free consultation. I would be going again soon for a check up. 5 STARS!!
