Kevin Vu, DDS, brings more than 22 years of experience in general, preventive, and cosmetic dentistry to Toothscaler Dental, located in San Jose, California, serving patients throughout Santa Clara County and the Bay Area.
Dr. Vu began his professional education at the University of California, Santa Barbara. After obtaining his undergraduate degree, Dr. Vu enrolled at Temple University in Philadelphia, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery. After graduation, Dr. Vu completed two years of specialty training in cosmetic dentistry with a focus on crowns and bridges.
As the owner of Toothscaler Dental, Dr. Vu works to serve men, women, and families of the Bay Area, providing personalized, quality dental care in a spa-like environment. Toothscaler Dental opened in 2013 and is Dr. Vus second practice. In addition to preventive services such as oral exams and cleanings, Dr. Vu offers pediatric dentistry, endodontics, oral surgery, wisdom teeth extractions, and orthodontics, including6-Month Braces and Invisalign. Dr. Vu also provides cosmetic dentistry services including dental implants, crowns, bridges, and teeth whitening.
Dr. Vu always takes the time to treat patients individually, listening to their questions and concerns. Following treatment, Dr. Vu gives every patient a special plastic preventive tool known as PLAQUE SCRAPER. Dr. Vu invented this FDA-approved device and its the perfect compliment to regular home dental care like brushing and flossing. Currently, Dr. Vu is working to get the product sold over-the-counter in local stores and pharmacies.

Worse worse dentist in south bay, this is the reason why it's in a almost stripped plaza and inside it's dark and smells funny, see yelp for full description of my review.

Dr. Kevin Vu is an excellent dentist. He replaced 2 of my front teeth with veneer more than 5 years ago and both teeth still look awesome till this date. Give him a try and you will be happy with the results.

Just got home from my first visit. Overall I had a great experience. The assistant was super nice and friendly. And Dr. Vu was efficient and knowledgeable. Will be returning.

I had a cleaning and fillings done by Dr. Vu. It was the best dental experiences I have ever had. He made sure I didn't feel anything and both appointments were very quick. His office was extra precautious with covid, and I felt very comfortable. I already scheduled my next cleaning.

Dr. Vu took good care of my senior dad, he was patient with him and took care of his dental needs. He did not rush with his services and made sure dad was ok and didnt feel any pain. Thank you Dr. Vu for your outstanding care and services to my dad.

I don't like going to the dentist but I was happy with all of the appointments with Dr VU'S team.i had my tooth crowns,fillings and teeth cleaned done by Dr VU, he is highly skilled and really takes the time to get to know his patients and knows exactly what to do,he is kind and definitely an expert.i would definetely recommend his practice .

I had my root canal and crown top done at this dental clinic and I am pleased with the procedure that Dr. Vu has done. I also had full deep cleaning here. I chose this location because it is close to where I live, the pricing seems fair and reasonable, and the doctor knowledgeable in his field and with oral care. I will go here again once my insurance becomes effective next year as I signed up for open enrollment this Fall. I was paying out-of-pocket and didn't know if the insurance that my employer offers works and the dentist here was the deciding factor in opting for the insurance in the first place. They accept all PPO Plans! Check out their website and give them a call! Don't be afraid because of the pandemic because the best time is NOW! :)

I needed a crown and a filling that would not be covered by my insurance, so I called a lot of dentists to try to find affordable options. This place had some of the best prices. I liked that Dr Vu was straightforward and clear in explaining what the costs were going to be. Many other places would not even give a price quote for a crown unless I came in for an evaluation first. I felt he was more willing than other dentists to take the time to explain things to me. Overall I would recommend Dr Vu.
