From the time Dr. Barbagallo was just nine years old, and saw her mother at work, she wanted to follow in her mothers footsteps and become a dentist. She has a deep sense of commitment to her community and has a passion for connecting with children. Her younger sister has special needs and is Dr. Barbagallos reason and driving force for pursuing Pediatrics as her specialty. Her experience with her sister has gifted her with the understanding, patience and a gentle demeanor to relate to all childrens needs.
Dr. Barbagallo feels strongly that early childhood healthcare and prevention are important to instill lifelong dental health. Establishing a dental home at an early age is critical to building a positive dental experience.
Dr. Barbagallo earned her post-graduate degree at New York University. After completing a General Practice Residency at Hackensack University Hospital, she worked in private practice for a year before returning to specialize in Pediatrics. Her involvement included leading the Hispanic American Association, acting as Student Ambassador to ADA, and being selected for an Honors Program in Endodontics. She received several awards including the Presidential Service Award , Community Dentistry and Public Health award , Bernard E. Rudner Award for Superior Performance in Comprehensive Patient Care, and the Achievement in Community Dentistry American Association.

Dr. B and staff are fantastic! From the second You walk in the door you can feel that this is a great place. They were absolutely wonderful with my young son and it's refreshing to see a doctor who takes a more holistic approach first instead of just wanting treating something unnecessarily. We saw a different pediatric dentist before coming to Toothopia and the difference is night and day. We will absolutely be sticking with Toothopia going forward. Highly recommend this office!

Makenzie has CP. She has been to dentists her entire life. No dentist has ever been able to completely clean her teeth, until now. Dr. B. And her staff are welcoming, friendly and child centered. The child is explained everything and all walk out with smiles.no crying in this office!

Toothopia is an amazing pediatric dentistry practice!!!! We love Dr. B and her team. I am consistently impressed with their attitude, demeanor, and love for their jobs! My daughter brags about her dentist to her friends. Their office is fun, engaging, and designed to help kids develop an understanding of the importance of routine dental care. As a parent, I always learn something to help my child take better care of her teeth. Who doesn't want to feel valued in the dentist chair, get your nails done or a tattoo, watch tv in the ceiling while sitting back, and be treated like the only patient on the office. They truly care about each and every child they interact with.
