Dr. Salar grew up in Los Angeles, California. After earning his bachelors degree in Biological Sciences from UC Berkeley, he attended Temple University School of Dentistry where he earned his dental degree. Immediately after graduating, he attended the prestigious NYU/Bellevue hospital program where he received his specialty certificate in pediatric dentistry.
Upon finishing his education, Dr. Salar moved to the Great Sierra Nevada area where he has since served infants, children and adolescents in the local community. Although Dr. Salar emphasizes preventive dental care, conservative dentistry and home maintenance, his extensive sedation and surgical experience in performing full mouth oral rehabilitation has established him as the go to pediatric dentist for children requiring advanced complex treatment plans, special needs, anxiety and systemic health conditions.

If i could give zero stars i would my son went here and was supposed to be scheduled for a surgery because his teeth are bad they said a month it has been MONTHS now and not even a call from them now my son has an abscess tooth due to his issues not being treated my son is 4 years old and should have been a priority before he got in this much pain !!!!

They were so kind and patient with my son who was less than willing to be there. Then went out of their way to make sure he was comfortable and didn't pressure him. They talked to him and let him decide when he was ready for them to treat him. Best dentists ever!

This is an amazing pediatric dentistry. The doctors really make the kids feel comfortable and they do a great job explaining needs and plans to the parents. My kids had to have some filings done and they didn't cry once! The doctors and hygenists/assistants (not sure of their title and don't want to goof it) work seamlessly as a team to ensure the work is done efficiently and the kids are kept comfortable. I would definitely recommend toothfairy dental to anyone who has a little needing routine care or dental work.

My son likes this dentist very much! Been going here for over 3 years and have no plans to change. The only thing I wished was that appts could go later than 430pm but it's still later than the industry standard of the area :) thanks to the team for always being so great with his energy and constant questions!

Super friendly staff. Beyond helpful. Babies second time and he actually opened and let them look amd clean! He gave Michelle flowers! It was so cute!!! Super clean office! We will never go anywhere else!!!!

My son has been going Dr. Salar for years. Before we found Dr. Salar all of the other dentists were very hands off and as a result our son's dental needs weren't being met. Our son has Down Syndrome and due to some medical interventions early in life, he was very afraid of the dentist. After years with Dr. Salar's easy attitude and kind staff he's been able to get all of his dental needs taken care of without anesthesia and looks forward to dental visits!

My Son was well taken care of while here. They make sure to keep the parents well informed with all procedures that is taken place. I recommend my sister and her 5 kids and she was also very pleased with your service. Every 6 months my son comes for routine cleaning

Definitely do not recommend. Got my kids into a different dental office, and I am STUNNED that toothfairy peds didn't see what the other office saw. Not only are the women who work there rude and unprofessional, but they apparently also don't know how to do proper dental x-rays. Save you and your kids the time... find a different dental office for your kid/s. If I had decided to keep my kids at this office, who knows what kind of oral health issues my kids would've endured. Literally infuriated with this office. They also do not send patients info when it's requested. Take the time to read the older reviews... I wish had before tonight, because those bad reviews are accurate.

I am only giving this office 3 stars because the ladies are so sweet and made my child feel at ease. My family and I are irritated with Dr. Francis due to his insensitive behavior. It was my 5 year old very first dental procedure, and my child started to cry because it hurt and Dr. Francis told my child to (KNOCK IT OFF) My child came home saying how she doesn't like Dr. Francis because he's mean. For specializing in children maybe he should have a little more compassion for children!.
