Dr. Emilie is a general dentist that has dedicated her career to serving the pediatric population and young adults. Tooth Story is the fulfillment of a lifelong dream to create a place for kids and young adults to go for their oral health needs through a child-centered approach. As a mother of two, Dr. Emilie understands firsthand the anxieties and importance of having your children loved and cared for. Dr. Emilie and her staff strive to create an environment where kids and young adults learn valuable lessons and have fun at the dentist!
Dr. Emilie completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S) at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). She is native to Manhattan, KS, and a graduate of Kansas State University where she was also a student-athlete having played for the K-State Wildcats women's basketball team. Dr. Emilie has a wide range of experiences that include inner-city clinics, special-needs patients and rural areas working specifically with the pediatric population. Upon returning home to Manhattan, Dr. Emilie is excited to provide excellent dental care to youth in Manhattan and all surrounding communities.

Dr. Emilie and staff are phenomenal! Very professional and excellent with newborns, I highly recommend :) I am so grateful for the kindness and professionalism demonstrated by Dr. Emilie and staff! My six-week-old daughter had severe tongue and lip ties that made breastfeeding so very painful. After a negative experience with lactation consultant support at a local military hospital that did not address my concerns about my daughter's oral ties or respond to my concerns in a timely manner, I felt extremely relieved and validated when Dr. Emilie immediately identified the issue, explained the remedy, and was open to any questions that I had. Dr. Emilie and staff were able to release her oral ties immediately after the consultation and ensured that my baby was comfortable and safe during the procedure. The whole visit was smooth and super fast. We left with very thorough guidance for aftercare and a follow-up appointment. I felt confident and competent in supporting my daughter through the recovery process. Dr. Emilie also provided wonderful recommendations for local chiropractors to do bodywork that is often associated with oral ties. The office and staff are very child-friendly! Highly recommend!

I love this place. The staff is very caring and excellent. Dr. Emilie and her team took care of my 3yr old son who is not so easy to work with. He now loves to go to a dentist! They suggest what is best for the patient and not their pockets. My 8 yr-old daughter loves them too.

We love the staff here. They are so friendly and make our kids feel very comfortable. I was a little worried when they said I couldn't go back with our 3 year old, but he did great! My kids ask if they can go back all the time.

They state that deal with young adults from 20 to 22 and special needs from 0 to 22. When I called to make an appointment for my special needs son who is 21 yrs old, they refused to take him saying he is too old. If you are not going to do what you have post on your website take it down. I have been looking for a special needs dentist for a long time and was so excited to find one so close to home. But then I was let down

We took our son for his first dental check up and we had an extremely pleasant experience. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. Dr Emilie was very nice and informative. My son is very excited for his next visit!!

When our son turned 3, I decided to take him to a pediatric dentist in Topeka to ensure that he had the best experience for his first time at the dentist. It was AWFUL and I was sure I would never get him to walk into a dentist office again. After talking with our sweet friends and neighbors who knew Dr. Emilie and her staff, they reached out to the office and had the Tooth Story staff call us...they actually called us! Our son just had his first appointment and it went perfectly! They have the kiddos go in by themselves which I was a bit nervous about given his previous negative experience, but the staff were so great that he went right in with no problem! They also have Kahl, the sweetest Golden Retriever and therapy dog who works there to help ease any lingering anxiety. Our son is so excited to go back! I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Emilie and her staff!

Very upsetting experience not once but twice. Felt there was no communication with front staff and back. Dr even told me they take care of 3000 patients so it happens but we happen to get it twice and won't recommend. Was there two weeks before for another child's apt and already they forgot we were coming back and even changed apt time for what we were there for and when brought up received attitude.

My son fell on his trampoline the day before Christmas Eve and broke part of his tooth off. I was able to reach Dr. Emilie and she was so concerned about him and asked for pictures of his tooth. We determined it could wait until after the holidays but Dr. Emilie asked me to let her know how he was doing throughout that time. She reassured me it was fixable and things would be okay. Her staff was able to get us in quickly after the holidays. His tooth is now fixed and looks good as new. I will always be grateful to Dr. Emilie and her staff. I highly recommend Tooth Story to everyone. My son will not be going anywhere else!

My 6 year old daughter fell & knocked her permanent front tooth out on a Thursday night. We took her to the ER where the ER Dr put the tooth back in. We were given discharge instructions to see Tooth Story in the morning. Well, they were not open on Friday. Yeah, pretty disgusted.

Dr. Emilie is amazing! She cares for your child as if he/she were her own. My son had alot of work done on his teeth and he loves her! And she did great work! I will keep taking him to tooth story for as long as I can! The staff and environment is truly awesome. I couldnt thank her enough for being the sweet woman she is!
