Dr. Gary E. Chike is a renaissance man of sorts. Beyond boasting a doctorate in dental medicine, hes a bonafide French literature scholar, a professional medical illustrator, published author and illustrator for medical and nursing journals and a formally trained artist. Its a fitting background for someone who firmly believes dentistry isnt just a science, but an art, as well. At Tooth Mechanix he puts this philosophy to use every day, performing a full slate of general and cosmetic services that ranges from simple cleanings, Botox, Dermal-fillers, PDO thread lifting and tooth whitenings to dental implants, inlay/onlay restorations, Veneers and aesthetic recontouring procedures. And with an artists eye, Dr. Chike ensures each crown, veneer, or custom denture looks as beautiful and natural as a Caspar David Friedrich painting.
Cassandra is Dr. Gary's wife. She has been in the dental field for over 28 years. She is a certified dental assistant with expanded duties, x-ray and infection control certification. She received her training and certification in 1993 from Florida State College at Jacksonville. Shes a Florida girl! While she enjoys helping patients understand their dental treatment and the nuisances of their insurance her favorite part is when a patient finishes treatment and is able to smile again. She loves treating patients and she treats them all as if they were her family. Outside of dentistry she loves spending time with her family, working on her truck, or doing other projects.
Meet Jamie, our Dental Hygienist. She graduated summa cum laude from Indiana University in 2001 with an associates degree in dental hygiene. She returned to Georgia in 2001 and settled in Flowery Branch. She has been a hygienist for 20 years, she enjoys her work and educating her patients on their oral health. She's been with our office since 2018. Outside of work, she enjoys her family, outdoor activities, and crafting.
Meet Destiny! She is the first Smiling face that will greet you when you walk through our doors. Destiny received her certificate in dental assisting August of 2021. At home she enjoys spending time with her friends and Family. She enjoys outdoor activities with her cute little pup Maggie. She also loves horror films and exploring new things with her Fiance. She cant wait to meet you! Were excited to have her join our team!
Meet Madi, the newest member of our team! Originally from California, She has moved to be closer to family here in Georgia. Madi ultimately wants to pursue dental school. She is fluent in Spanish and loves to travel, learn new things and going on hikes with her dog Winston

I'm not usually one to write reviews, but I felt compelled to write one here. I have been a patient of Tooth Mechanix for years for a variety of dental issues, and I have loved my experience from the first visit. Jamie, the hygienist, is personable, fun, and very thorough in her work. I have had cleanings from other hygienists that are a little rushed so they can get to the next patient, but Jamie takes the time she needs to ensure a really thorough job. Dr. Chike is excellent as well. From visit one, I could tell he is not trying to exaggerate any issues to oversell services, which is the sense I've gotten from some other providers. He has a warm personality and takes the time to explain what he's seeing and what he's doing, and I appreciate that patient education is something he incorporates into his practice. Sandy, the office manager, is lovely as well-- very friendly and she knows her stuff! If you're in the market for a dentist, I highly recommend tooth mechanix!

The hygienist did a great job every time I had dental cleaning. She's very gentle with kids too. Dr.Chike is a truthful dentist to his patient. During my visit and I want to remove my wisdom tooth and and xray was done. He told me the cost and its very expensive. He told me if my wisdom tooth doesn't bothers me then Its ok not to remove.

I had long-standing dental problems. As a result, I lost all my teeth before I turned 30 years old. I used conventional dentures, since then. The jawbone depleted and the lower denture became unstable, which affected my eating and speaking abilities. I visited Dr. Gary's office in Augusta 2021. Dr. Gary discussed with me the available options. Four implants was the best option. The process lasted almost a year, and it was life changing. Thanks to Dr. Gary, Ms. Sandy. I've had a lot of issues with my mouth since I was young. So I've always had anxiety about going to the dentist. When I walked into the office, the waiting room was so nice and the women up front were incredibly friendly. The dental hygienist, Jamie, was incredible. I told her about all the issues I've dealt with and different oral surgeries I've had and she patiently listened. As she cleaned my teeth, she talked to me about what she was doing and explained why it was important to do certain things for the health of my teeth. I grind my teeth and she explained exactly how much damage can happen from doing that. Normally a dentist will tell you to wear a mouth guard, but not explain exactly what can happen long term if you don't. I appreciated her going into detail and explaining things that I didn't know. Dr. Chike came in and was very nice, which also put me at ease. I have nothing but excellent things to say about Tooth Mechanix and the entire staff!! I have found my new dentist office!

This practice is the best that I have ever been to. Let me start by saying I have severe dental anxiety. I literally have to psych myself up to go to an appointment. I have been going to Tooth Mechanix for almost a year now. Today I had an extraction and dental implant done. The staff is so kind and caring and Dr Chike is awesome. He explains each step of what he's doing and alleviates any fears you have. I have found my dental home!! I highly recommend Tooth Mechanix!

What a great dental office from the front office to the back! They truly make you feel at home. For once ALL of my dental work can be done in one place no more bouncing from dentist to dentist. They even do implants!! Highly Recommend :)

Dr. Chike is amazing! Completely gave me back my confidence. I've felt so welcome that I even started bringing my children to see him. Sandy has been nothing but kind and accommodating. When I brought my son in two hours before our scheduled appointment time, she took him in right away anyways! I've also witnessed her do this with at least two other patients. I honestly can't say enough good things about this dental office.

No review can prepare you for the phenomenal experience you'll have when you visit Tooth Mechanix Family & Implant Dentistry. Every detail, from the decor, to the state of the art equipment, to the friendliness and professionalism of the entire staff will flat out blow you away. And don't let the name fool you as this practice does everything from routine care to implants and is affordable!
