Here at Tooth Clues, we are proud to specialize in pediatric dentistry. We truly believe in starting children off right when it comes to their dental health. It is our goal to ensure that each visit goes well so that they think of the dentists office as a good place. Our entire staff is wonderful with children, allowing them to relax while we care for their teeth.
Our dentists and staff have received extra training for primary teeth. Our goal is to protect your childrens teeth so they can eat and speak correctly. We will do whatever we can to help your children have the bright smiles they deserve.
The credit for Dr. Takiar in becoming a dentist actually goes to her mom. It was by her recommendation that Agent T pursued dentistry and excelled; her mom was right dentistry was the perfect career choice!
Dr. Takiar has always been excited to work with children and she soon realized the immediate relevancy: children are the ideal population in which to bring about change good behaviors and practices learned at an early age can reap a lifetime of benefits.
As a pediatric dentist, Dr. Takiar is excited to educate and share with her patients the value and significance of good oral health, which in actuality is the start to overall well-being. And at Tooth Clues, she hopes each child will investigate the dental clues to understand and solve the mystery of a healthy smile!
Chelsey Dental Assistant Chelsey, also known as agent CB has been a Dental Assistant since 2016. She graduated from DATS (dental assistant training school) of Frederick, Maryland. She has practiced in numerous fields, but recently decided to switch to pediatrics due to her love for children. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her two daughters, family and friends. She loves watching football; her favorite team is The Washington Football team. She has a passion for food and loves trying new restaurants!

NO BETTER DENTIST OUT THERE! This is who you need and want in your corner for your dental needs! She will always answer your calls, emails and even texts...she genuinely cares about you and DOES NOT JUST SEE DOLLAR SIGNS! DR. T WILL find a way no matter what, to assist you in your decision making for Normal oral care needs and even the harder decisions like frenectomy surgeries for tongue tie, lip tie, and cheek ties. She is easy to talk to and not pushy like most other dentists....she will follow up with you after a procedure even if its every single day for a week straight to you next appointment to make sure everything is going well in recovery. She is very open to concerns from patients and very willing to assist you if your on a more holistic path for dental hygiene as well. She is very honest, very detail oriented, very punctual/articulate. DR. T was the women in shining armor for me after dealing with well over 30 practices in the NOVA area that were all over priced, impersonable, strict on sick methods aka (taking a baby into a back room out of mothers site is unacceptable) also not being honest about alternative methods of treatments for mouth ties and (Baby Nursing Rot Issues). Tooth Clues is an adorable practice with the best theme....finding the clues to your tooth's problems!!! When I say I truly cannot thank Dr.Takiar enough for what she has done for me in these tough times and my very troubled situation, I MEAN IT WITH ALL MY HEART THANK YOU. Your one of the few REALLY decent people left on the planet and I apreachiate you so much. Lord willing we will be seeing you for the next 21 years !!!!

Dr. Takiar was recommended by our lactation team at INOVA when our 2 month old wasn't getting enough milk. As you can imagine I was anxious to resolve any issues quickly to get my baby back on track. Dr. Takiar fit is in within less than 72 hours and within another 24 hours to actually perform the tongue tie procedure. She walked me through everything to make me comfortable. The Tooth Clues theme is awesome and fun. I can see how engaging it will be as my child grows. After our experience here I will transfer my older daughter to be seen by "Agent" Takiar and team.

We can't recommend Dr. T enough. We had the opportunity to work with Dr. T for our son's laser frenectomy. I knew we were in right spot when I received a call and consult a week before the procedure to review the details, explain the process and ensure we were prepared for his care after the procedure. She made a very difficult time for us very manageable. The procedure itself went fantastic and importantly, Dr. T was there for us every step of the way afterwards to make sure we were set up for success. I can't put into words our appreciation for Dr. T and her time spent with us. Thank you, Dr. T!!

Dr. Takiar did my preschooler's frenectomies, and she was fantastic to work with. She called to check in over the weekend and make sure he was doing ok after the Friday procedure, she gave us an extra appointment on short notice when I was worried about his recovery, she took time to talk to his speech therapist and make sure they were on the same page about what he needs (and then did it again when I switched speech therapists), and did excellent work on the procedures. She's great!

My daughter was seeing Dr. T at Frederick Pediatric Dentistry but when we found out she was opening her own practice we followed her to Virginia. Dr. T is very patient and is great with my daughter. I would definitely recommend her.

I've never RUN home fast as I can to write a review like this before! But, my experience today with Tooth Clues and Dr. T warranted the possible speeding ticket! My 2 year old had swelling and generally "bad looking" gums around his pushing-through lower canine tooth for a few weeks which, over the course of today seemed to get weirder looking. After consulting our Ped and calling all around town at 3:00pm, I caught Dr. T as she was literally leaving her office. She called me back immediately when I was directed to VM. After explaining the situation and my worried momma heart, Dr. T. asked me to send a quick pic and asked us to come in - she'd stay & wait for us, on her DAY OFF, and see him immediately. Not only did she DO THAT, she also gave us the visit as a free consultation because he's under 3 and she doesn't take our dental insurance. She entertained my older 6 yr old and the 2 yr old with their awesome waiting room VR game while I quick filled out the online paperwork, escorted us to an immaculate exam room, took care of the little one's issue quickly and with compassion, and sent us on our way. Even though our insurance isn't accepted by her practice, I can't wait to go back for regular visits. They offer a great savings plan for out-of-pocket which is honestly just about as much as I pay regularly WITH insurance accepted elsewhere.
