Dr. Tony grew up in Eastern Oregon and spent much time on a farm learning the value of hard work. He was a competitive athlete in his youth, but focused on the Javelin after high school. He threw for the All Army Track team and the University of Washington. He ended his throwing career with a bang when he was invited to compete in the 92 Olympic trials in New Orleans. Dr. Tony went on to receive his Doctorate degree from Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU).
He has been married to his wife, Jamie, since 1987 and they have 3 children. They are also adoptive parents and enjoy continued relationships with many of their former foster children. Dr. Tony is a big kid at heart; his hobbies include camping and riding ATVs with his family on the Oregon Coast sand dunes, and long range shooting.
Giving back to the community of Redmond is a priority for Dr. Tony. In the past, he has been a volunteer coach with both the Redmond High and Ridgeview High Track and Field teams. Having been a collegiate competitor in the throwing events, he enjoys sharing his love for the sport with the youth of Redmond and has helped several athletes to enjoy successful careers in the throwing events. Dr. Tony is also an active member of the Chamber and supports many of the local youth sports, as well as 4H and FFA.
After being in a group practice in Redmond for 10 years, he opened his own practice allowing him to focus on individual patient care. He and his staff pride themselves in being attentive to their patients needs, and on being gentle and down to earth. Per Dr. Tony, I like to treat each patient as if they were familywith kindness, honesty and compassion!

This was my first visit. Was kindly greeted upon entering. I spent only a short amount of time in the waiting room. My hygienist was professional and friendly. She explained what the agenda for visit was. She explained the procedures as she worked and answered any questions I had. The dentist was also professional and friendly. After taking a look at my X-rays, He did a very thorough exam of my teeth and gums and noted a few spots to keep an eye on. Because of my history with gum disease, the hygienist and I together decided a plan of attack for my care. I left feeling well cared for and I look forward to my next visit.

First time patients at Highland Dental and we have found a dentist for life! My wife and I both had the same experience from reception staff to hygienist to our dentist, all were professional, knowledgable and friendly. A warm, welcoming office that takes great care of their patients and works with the philosophy "if it isn't broken, don't fix it". I appreciate the honesty.

I waited a while to post a review after my dental treatment! I can't express the kindness and professionalism of this doctor! He is one of the best dentist I have had! He saved me having to get a root canal! To add they were able to get me in for an emergency cracked tooth which no where else in town could help. I called over 17 places ranging from Bend to Redmond and they were the only place that could actually help me! Highly recommend this office!

As always. .a never-changing wonderful experience and the best dentists and hygienists in Central Oregon! When the receptionists ALL welcome you with a cheery greeting and the warmth of the fire draws you in, and sweet music and laughter from the operatories floats into the waiting room, and the patients exiting tend to linger for a visit with the reception staff, you know you have found the perfect dentist and staff...like family inviting you into their home!

People put to much stock into reviews! It's all about your own personal experience. I could tell you they're the bomb, which they are, and you could go there and have the worst experience of your life and then where would my review be? These guy's are really good but go see for yourself don't put any stock into anything anybody else tells you. People have good days and bad days. People have good experience's and bad experience's. For the love of God if you need a dentist go see them, and stop listening to what other people think. FORM YOUR OWN OPINION!

I haven't been to the dentist in years, but on my 4th visit to Dr.Tony. I have a few more visits to go, but each time it's getting easier and easier to go. The entire staff is amazing. Dr. Tony is very patient.
