Dr. Tony Kim is a highly trained general dentist who has focused his studies to tackle complex cases. He is focused on delivering superior dental care while not forgetting that patients want to be comfortable and feel relaxed. A primary focus is the holistic relationship between the health of the mouth and the entire body. Dr. Kim has trained with some of the top dental practitioners in the world and is excited to be working with his mentor Dr. Wynn Okuda who is a world famous cosmetic dentist known for his innovative and accelerated advanced treatments.
Dr. Kim is a past board member of the Kaimuki Business & Professional Associationand enjoys helping the local community. He also attends Kaimuki Christian Churchand faith is one of the most important things he tries to instill in his three children.
He received his Bachelors of Science in Biology at the University of California, Irvine and then received his DDS from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco. Since then, he has finished many other advanced courses and continues to stay on top of the latest advances in dentistry.
He has taken many courses and attended many conferences which cover the relationship between oral and whole body health. Being a biological dentist Dr. Kim and his family do their best to live a healthy holistic lifestyle by eating well and staying active. You may bump into him and his kids on some of the various hikes (especially Kokohead) around the island or at the beach.

Professional, caring, warm, friendly , great communication, clear understanding in what to expect. I got my molar removed and instantly I felt the better difference and had a pepp in my step. My nerves /joints in my body seemed functional like it should be when healthy. I got more work to be done. My trust is in Dr. Kim and Abby. Am a HAPPY CAMPER! Highly recommend Tony Kim and his outstanding staff. I had a tooth that was bothering me - but being a busy person - I put off fixing it until it demanded my attention. Dr. Kim was able to fit me in quickly for X-rays, cleaning and tooth repair. The cavity was severe. Other dentists I've seen probably would have jumped to a costly and painful repair (root canal) but not Dr. Kim. He said he'd do his best to repair it. He and his staff were very kind and attentive. I've had horrible experiences with other dentists in the past and I can honestly say that he has gained my trust and continued patronage. Days after the repair I'm happy to report that my tooth looks and feels great! The entire experience was efficient, gentle and professional. There's even secured parking and a clean, spa-like waiting room. I highly recommend Tony Kim and his diligent staff. I'll see you there!

I am extremely grateful for the work and the care from Dr. Kim and his staff. The removal of mercury fillings can be hazardous for the patient but Dr. Kim is trained and equipped to do it safely. I know, because he's done it for me. This is the best dentist experience I have ever had in my life!

Came here to have a post and new crown done on my molar. I am extremely afraid and hate going to the dentist because of past experiences with other dentists. I'm glad my wife found this place. From the moment I walked in the office the staff was friendly and make me feel comfortable. The treatment was surprisingly painless. Now I know that I've been going to the wrong places all this time. I'm so grateful to be under Dr.Kim and his staffs care. Awesome place. Thanks Dr. Kim, Abby, Jee, Sol and April.

Thank God for Dr. Kim and his amazing staff!!! I was referred by my naturopath to see Dr. Kim to remove my mercury fillings. Because there is a safe way to remove them she only trusted Dr. Kim to do it the right way. I also told Dr. Kim that I was suffering with TMJ and had seen 2 other dentists prior to seeing him. I pretty much had given up the notion that a dentist could help me and I was resigned to the fact that I would be in pain every time I chewed! Dr. Kim took the time to listen to me and I really felt his compassion for my situation. Finally someone not only understood my pain but he was going to help me! With every visit he adjusted my bite and worked his magic! Today I am mercury free and Hallelujah I can chew without pain!!! I appreciate his professionalism, his knowledge, and all his modern day technology ... But just as important I am grateful for his compassion! Thank you Dr. Kim, Soledad, and Staff!!! : )

As a naturopathic physician, I refer many of my patients to see Dr. Kim for safe removal of mercury amalgam fillings and for an excellent biological dentist who truly cares about them. I see Dr. Kim myself as a patient and once I even received a foot massage while getting a dental cleaning, what a treat!

Who loves dentists? Certainly, I didn't, growing up, and up until I landed at Dr. Kim's dental chair. I was in pain, desperately in search of relief & solutions. Since I didn't like dentists & feared them, I never ask, never questioned procedures, heck, most dentists don't go out of their way to tell you their game plan anyway, discuss long term effects, etc. My prejudice about dentists slowly turned a 360deg After a series of consults with Dr. Kim. He was very patient with me, took time to explain options and knows very well that the teeth is very much connected to the rest of the body and its symptoms of pain may reflect the overall health of the person. His practice is holistic and is knowledgeable as well on topics such as food, effective probiotics, chiropractic care, etc! His staff is very caring & friendly, we feel welcomed and at home each visit. You will never feel hurried, that you gotta get out the door even when there are patients waiting to be seen. I live in Makakilo but I travel thru H-1 traffic to get (to Kahala) dental care from Dr. Kim. Settling for nothing but the best as I have experienced quality care for the first time ever. Mahalo, Dr. Kim, Soledad, Cheryl and the rest of your staff for topnotch service!

I absolutely love Dr. Kim and his amazing staff. Along with himself, Gigi and Soledad the three of them together making coming to their office a pleasant one. Full of laughter and smiles, seeing them really never gets old. What I believe makes their office different from others is the chemistry that they all have between them which makes working with each other much easier and patients really notice that. I've had my fair share of doctors and Dr. Kim really goes above an beyond to explain to you your treatment of care. Many times I've sat in that dental chair, had work done, and after everything was completed was sent on my way. But with Dr. Kim he stopped numerous times throughout every procedure checking in on me making sure I was okay, and at the end of it all he explained everything that he did that day making sure I understood what was done and what needs to happen from there.

I trust Dr. Kim with my entire families dental needs and would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone who wants a totally different dental experieince. Fantastic dentist! My family (mother, wife, sister) have been going to Dr Kim for awhile now and we always feel cared for. He explains very clearly the different options and why he gives his opinions. He really cares about our overall dental health. I usually get nervous seeings dentists but he always puts me at ease.
