Dr. Toni Chen is a native to the San Gabriel Valley. Growing up, she resided in both San Marino and Arcadia, attending Arcadia High School. After high school graduation, she continued her education at University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA) and graduated with a degree in biology. During this time, Dr. Toni began her volunteer work as an assistant for the dental department at UCLA. She also became involved in dental material composite research, and her work was eventually published in the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry and was presented at the IADR (International Association of Dental Research). Additionally, she participated in numerous community service programs, including one for inner city children. Within this program, Dr. Toni developed and implemented structured curriculum, helping the children to improve academically.
Dr. Toni decided to pursue her dental education at the University of Southern California. Due to her inherent love and experience working with children, it was natural for her to pursue 2 additional years of pediatric specialty training at the highly regarded Cincinnati Childrens Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC). Upon graduation, she returned to her hometown of Arcadia and began private practice.
Her typical weekend involves trips to the farmers market, bike rides along the Santa Monica pier, playing tennis and hikes along the Santa Anita trails. She enjoys the outdoors and loves to travel; her latest adventure involved a white water rafting trip with family and friends. Her latest trip includes travels to Paris, Rome, Florence and Sienna. When you come in to visit her, remember to ask her who she roots for during UCLA/USC games!

Dr. Toni and her staff are beyond amazing. They are very gentle while treating my son, and very thorough. The front office staff are kind and knowledgeable. I'm grateful my son is in good hands.

I love this pediatric dentist! My girls love it too which is more important. Everyone makes my girls feel comfortable and they make everything sound fun & magical....how that's possible for the dentist, I don't know....but that's how good they are! My girls never want to leave & you know that's a good sign. I never want to go anywhere else.

This was the best experience we (entire family) have ever had with the dentist. Dr. Toni was extremely nice and she explain step by step what she was doing to our son. Her staff is very welcoming, and friendly. The office is clean and has a pleasant feel to it. I HIGHLY recommend Toni Chen and her staff to everyone. My kids ages 6 and 8 left her office happy.

Everything is great and the doctor is very nice and professional, the only down experience is the unfriendly front desk lady. I called to tell them the health form content is same as last year, she said You have to do it again. Then I asked can I fill in paper form because I don't have pen or other electronics to search information online. She said everybody do on their phone! Finally she said she can tell them to let you do on their iPad, I said yes please, that will be helpful. Then they never gave me any iPad...

Doctor Toni Chen is an excellent dentist. Toni Chen and her staff make the office a perfect setting for children to feel comfortable and safe. She is able to gain the confidence of children by making the dental procedures painless as possible. When oral surgery is needed, she uses an excellent anesthesiologist that children trust and respond to. Children look forward to seeing her for routine visits.

I took my daughter to Dr. Toni Chen when she was slightly over a year old. Dr. Chen was very thorough with her exam and spent time teaching me how to brush her teeth correctly. It was so much easier with proper technique. My poor baby did have a cavity and I was devastated. I almost cried being a first time Mom. But Dr. Chen recommended a new treatment that would not require sedation. It was a silver based material that was applied to the cavity and slowed the progression of the cavity. I am so grateful for this treatment that spared my daughter of sedation and kept the cavity from bothering her. We are now 4 years out and she is still doing well. Now my second daughter is also seeing Dr. Chen. She is a highly knowledgeable and deeply caring doctor. Thank You!

Dr Toni's dental office is the best dental office I've been to. They are super nice to my kid who is very afraid of dr office and doesn't like anything near his mouth. The staff is very patient and great with kids. I wouldn't go anywhere else. The staff also made extra accommodations with scheduling and last minute changes. Highly recommended!

We've been going to Dr. Toni ever since she has been open. She's a great dentist with a delicate touch that my kids appreciate. The staff is always super friendly and very comforting to the kids. They also have their COVID protocols in place and we felt super safe going in for our regular checkup.

Dr. Chen has an awesome practice! She and her staff do what they can to make the experience as easy as possible for the kids (and us parents too)! They are friendly with the kids to try to make them comfortable. They try to make them physically comfortable too with pillows to make the seat more comfortable and sunglasses so that they light doesn't bother their eyes. Pre covid, there were toys so the kids could play while waiting. And now with covid, they all take many precautions to keep everyone as safe as possible, including having people wait in cars if possible to limit the amount of people inside. She takes the time to explain what is going on to the parents in order to come up with a plan of action that is the best. Highly recommend her practice!

Dr. Toni and staff are great. The office is immaculate, they are on time, and they are great at dealing with your child. I especially appreciate Dr. Toni's willingness and ability to take the time to explain to both the parent and child exactly what procedures are being done and why. My son loves going to the dentist and is always asking when he can go back. I highly recommend Dr. Toni.

Dr. Chen is great! She is knowledgable, personable and kind. The hygienists alwats take great care to be sensitive to my child, showing her the instruments and telling her what they are going to do before they do it.
