Being an orthodontist is an awesome job, but I am a little biased. It is truly a privilege to come to work every day. Each day is a new adventure. I am lucky to get to know my patients and their families, as we help to transform their smiles. I look forward to helping provide beautiful smiles and supporting the Bristow, Gainesville, Nokesville, and Manassas communities. I have also volunteered my time at the Prince William Free Dental Clinic and at the Northern Virginia Mission of Mercy Projects.
Each year I attend numerous continuing education meetings, study research findings, and participate in seminars and lectures. This not only helps me continue to learn but it is a commitment to my patients. By staying up to date and expanding my knowledge base, I am able to provide the most current treatment to my patients. I focus on the most efficient, effective, and comfortable care. All of this helps me to provide the highest quality of treatment, as well as the most amazing smiles, for my patients. They deserve the best.
Im a Virginia native. My wife, Dr. Michelle Toms, and our family reside in Nokesville. We have three wonderful young children. They keep us extremely busy when we are not at the office. We also have a few four-legged friends who join us on our adventures. When Im not caring for patients, youll find me pretty much anywhere outside, spending time with my family.
Dr. Robert A. Cheron received his DMD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 2003. He then completed a General Practice Residency at the Washington, DC VA Medical Center before moving to California to pursue his Master of Science in Oral and Craniofacial Sciences and postgraduate Endodontics training at the University of California, San Francisco. The research project he completed for his Masters degree examined the physical changes in teeth following root canal treatment, in order to address the misconception that teeth become more brittle following root canal therapy
Dr. Cheron is a member of the American Dental Association, a Specialist Member of the American Association of Endodontists, a member of the Virginia Dental Association, and a member of the Northern Virginia Dental Society. In addition, Dr. Cheron has served on several committees for the American Association of Endodontists, including his current role as chair of the Distance Learning Committee.

Additionally, our endodontists utilize a specialized dental-operating microscope during root canals, retreatment, and other endodontic procedures. This advanced magnification and illumination gives the doctor the clearest visuals during your procedure and ensures the best results.

I had a five star experience at Toms! All of the staff went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and welcome. Doctor Toms and his Assistant were very thorough, kind and informative. After speaking with multiple Orthodontists I'm confident Doctor Toms is the best in the area! I highly recommend this practice!

Having to get a root canal is not fun, but Dr Michelle Tom's and the entire staff were so amazing to work with. Very nice and caring and went above and beyond to make sure I was relaxed and comfortable during my procedure. She explained everything as she was going and made the experience as wonderful as a root canal can be. I would recommend this office to everyone!

Where to begin?! You walk in and the office is breathtaking. Very clean, up to date technology, staff super friendly and helpful. Dr.Michelle explained everything to me to prepare me for my upcoming procedure. She reassured me everything will be okay! Would recommended this office to anyone that is looking for top of the line service.

I have seen both Dr Michelle and Dr Kevin Toms for dental care and they are amazing! So kind and genuine, very thorough in explaining everything and answering questions, and everything I had to have done I was given options and did not feel forced into anything. As a young adult their staff worked with me on finances and are always very welcoming. I would recommend them to anyone needing orthodontic or endodontic work. Scheduling has never been a problem either as I've experienced other places. I'm very happy I happened to stop by for a second opinion on a surgery last year, I ended up being offered a different treatment option and I am thrilled with how much better my teeth are doing. I used to have a big fear of the dentist and I always feel comfortable here!

Dr. Toms performed a root canal on my 14 year old son. She was kind, gentle, and caring. She took her time to explain what she was doing and made sure my son was comfortable throughout the entire procedure. My son is a first time patient of Dr. Toms - we traveled 45 minutes to see her. I'm so glad we did and will recommend her to anyone looking for an incredible endodontist. Her office staff is incredible as well! Thank you Dr. Toms!

Dr. Kevin Toms is fantastic! Every time I walk in, I'm greeted with smiling faces and kindness by his staff. Dr. Kevin Toms listens to my questions, clearly explains things, and I never feel like I'm being rushed. My son has a complicated case and so far the treatment plan has been great. I know we're in capable hands with Dr. Toms and his team. The office is brand new, beautiful, and state of the art. You will be very well taken care of, and you will not regret it! Dr. Kevin Toms rocks! I had been having trouble with a retainer made by another orthodontist and went in to Dr. Toms' office to see if there was anything he could do for me. The staff at the office thoroughly checked my mouth, taking several pictures of my teeth. Then, Dr. Toms came in to see how my old retainer fit. He explained several different options and ended up fixing my old retainer so it fit perfectly. He and the rest of his staff were awesome! I never felt rushed or that I was wasting their time with such a small issue. What a great experience!
