Five years later in 1982 Dr. James and Theodore Pauly joined forces with Dr. Thomas Spinozzi and took over our current space at the Aurora Dental Arts Building. In 2008 Dr. Theodore Pauly retired from practice.
Tompkins Family Dental Group has always believed in delivering top quality dental care with a genuine emphasis on the well-being of our patients. We have always strived to provide the best patient first dental care we can, while utilizing state of the art equipment and techniques.
After 40 years+ in our current office, Dr. Pauly has maintained the same philosophy going back over 98 years. It was integral for Dr. Pauly to find a dentist who adheres to the same philosophy and beliefs in dentistry that has been delivered in this practice for almost a century.
Dr. Jim Pauly did not find the perfect fit until 2018 when he found Dr. Tania Tompkins. He deemed her the appropriate successor to his familys life work: Pauly Family Dental Group. He has officially passed the torch to Dr. Tompkins and knows the practice is in the right hands.
The legacy of Pauly Family Dental Group proudly continues today, known by its new name Tompkins Family Dental Group, practicing patient care to the Aurora community with the same integrity and quality that we have provided for almost a century now and happily for even more decades to come!

Dr. Tania Tompkins has found a true dental family serving the patients of Pauly Family Dental Group, now known as Tompkins Family Dental Group. Dr. Tania Tompkins is originally from the Chicago suburbs, and completed her undergraduate, graduate, and professional studies at The University of Iowa. After 12 years in eastern Iowa, Dr. Tompkins and her husband made the anticipated and joyful decision to head back home to the Chicagoland area. Dr. Tompkins husband, Sean, is currently a Resident Physician in Internal Medicine at The University of Illinois Chicago, in pursuit of completing a GI specialty training program there as well. Dr. Tompkins and her husband are dog parents to their Australian Shepherd, Twin, and their English Shepherd, Lexie. In their spare time, Dr. Tompkins and her husband love traveling, spending time outdoors (when the weather permits!), cheering on the Chicago Blackhawks and cooking! Dr. Tompkins believes it is her passion in art that inspired her to become a dentist as she sees dentistry as the perfect union of art and science. She strives to provide top-quality dentistry and to create the ideal dental home for all her patients.
