Five years later in 1982 Dr. James and Theodore Pauly joined forces with Dr. Thomas Spinozzi and took over our current space at the Aurora Dental Arts Building. In 2008 Dr. Theodore Pauly retired from practice.
Tompkins Family Dental Group has always believed in delivering top quality dental care with a genuine emphasis on the well-being of our patients. We have always strived to provide the best patient first dental care we can, while utilizing state of the art equipment and techniques.
After 40 years+ in our current office, Dr. Pauly has maintained the same philosophy going back over 98 years. It was integral for Dr. Pauly to find a dentist who adheres to the same philosophy and beliefs in dentistry that has been delivered in this practice for almost a century.
Dr. Jim Pauly did not find the perfect fit until 2018 when he found Dr. Tania Tompkins. He deemed her the appropriate successor to his familys life work: Pauly Family Dental Group. He has officially passed the torch to Dr. Tompkins and knows the practice is in the right hands.
The legacy of Pauly Family Dental Group proudly continues today, known by its new name Tompkins Family Dental Group, practicing patient care to the Aurora community with the same integrity and quality that we have provided for almost a century now and happily for even more decades to come!

Dr. Tania Tompkins has found a true dental family serving the patients of Pauly Family Dental Group, now known as Tompkins Family Dental Group. Dr. Tania Tompkins is originally from the Chicago suburbs, and completed her undergraduate, graduate, and professional studies at The University of Iowa. After 12 years in eastern Iowa, Dr. Tompkins and her husband made the anticipated and joyful decision to head back home to the Chicagoland area. Dr. Tompkins husband, Sean, is currently a Resident Physician in Internal Medicine at The University of Illinois Chicago, in pursuit of completing a GI specialty training program there as well. Dr. Tompkins and her husband are dog parents to their Australian Shepherd, Twin, and their English Shepherd, Lexie. In their spare time, Dr. Tompkins and her husband love traveling, spending time outdoors (when the weather permits!), cheering on the Chicago Blackhawks and cooking! Dr. Tompkins believes it is her passion in art that inspired her to become a dentist as she sees dentistry as the perfect union of art and science. She strives to provide top-quality dentistry and to create the ideal dental home for all her patients.
Dr. Tompkins is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), the American Dental Association (ADA), the International Dental Implant Association (IDIA), the Chicago Dental Society, the Illinois State Dental Society (ISDS), the Fox River Valley Dental Society, the Aurora Dental Society, and the American Academy of Facial Esthetics (AAFE).

Dr. Tompkins and Leslie were great!!! Received a new crown the first one I've ever gotten without any pain or discomfort! Her staff is extremely friendly and I appreciate all that they do. My new crown fits like a glove and looks great! I was a bit nervous, but they make you feel at ease. Thank you!

My routine appointment for cleaning and dental exam was superior in every way. The new health and PPE procedures were in place. I felt very secure and protected with the new cleaning procedure and the office additions of the HEPA filters and personal gear of the staff. My exam and cleaning were very complete. January 3, 2022 A routine cleaning with Erin was excellent in every way. My teeth feel so smooth and clean. Extra x-rays ensured all areas were clear of a possible issue per Dr Tompkins excellent exam. I'll return for my 6 month appointment.

My family and I have been going to Tompkins Family Dental way before COVID-19. We have always received the best care. Dr Tompkins and her staff are great. They are always kind and respectful. Dr Tompkins does a great job. We've never had any bad experiences.

Under newer practice name and things have changed. Twice the office has cancelled my basic cleaning over the past year. Earlier this month I scheduled appointment due to part of a filling falling out. Took five days to get in. Once at the appointment and seen by doctor I was told I would need now to re-schedule the following week for the filling. This never happened under Pauly Family Dental.

Dr. Tompkins & her Team are top-notch! I had cracked my crown on Easter Sunday at work, eating some raw carrots. So, I made a call to her office & went through her after hours number & (surprisingly), they patched me through to Dr. Tompkins & she was able to schedule me the next day at 9:30 am to put in a new crown. I was all done before noon, to return back to work. Dr. Tompkins' professionalism shines through-she makes you feel at ease & I loved it when she said, "Alexia, play the Beatles". It brought me back to my childhood, when my Dad would play his vinyl albums.
