We think its important that they have their questions answered in regards to dental treatment or insurance. We develop trust with our patients because we are honest and straight forward with them. Dr. Tomei graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Michigan University before earning his degree from the University Of Detroit Mercy School Of Dentistry in 1992. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry as well as the Livonia Chamber of Commerce.
His dental practice has been rooted in Livonia since 1996, when he acquired his practice from Dr. Nicholas Cirino. He is a father of 3 children and resides in Plymouth, Michigan. 'I 've wanted to be a dentist since the 2nd grade', he says. 'I believe that each and every person deserves the best dental care available, and I strive to make that possible.
I believe you treat people the way you want to be treated. I try to make it clear that there isn 't an issue that is so bad that it cannot be solved. This makes the patient more comfortable and we hope this leads to referrals, which we greatly appreciate.'
Dr. Jashleen Bedi was born and raised in a small town outside of Tampa, Florida but has called Michigan her home for ten years. She moved straight to Ann Arbor, where she still lives with her husband, two little girls and their crazy, but lovable dog, to eventually complete her masters degree in Orthodontics at the University of Michigan (Go Blue!).
Prior to that, she completed her four year doctorate of dental medicine degree at the University of Florida where she graduated at the top of her class. During these four years not only did Dr. Bedi fall in love with Orthodontics but also college football! Thank goodness her teams - Florida and Michigan - are in different conferences!
Dr. Bedi feels that dentistry combines the best aspects of science and art and this is what appealed Dr.Bedi to enter the dental field. Dr. Bedi finds every aspect of orthodontics rewarding and loves to see her patients end treatment with a beaming smile.
We are excited to introduce you to Rachel Weatherhead DDS. Dr. Weatherhead will be working with us part time during our one Friday/Saturday per month. She will also be available when Dr. Tomei is out of the office. We are happy to have her join our team!
Dr. Weatherhead grew up downriver, and currently resides in Trenton. She attended the University of Detroit Mercy, where in 2011 she received her Bachelors degree in Biology and in 2015 earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree.
During her days off from practicing dentistry, Dr. Weatherhead enjoys spending time at her familys cottage in Irish Hills; she loves to water-ski, wakeboard, tube and parasail. When she is not at the lake, she likes to ride her bike, ride her unicycle and play with her puppy, Harvie. Dr. Weatherhead also loves listening to music and is a huge fan of Shania Twain!
Anna Maria has been with Dr. Tomei since 2006. She is educated in business at Schoolcraft College and has completed the MGE Administrative Power Program. She makes sure that our office is always running smoothly. She handles any issues that you may have, and makes you feel at home.
'I 've been working in a dental office since I was 16. I feel privileged to work and serve here with such a dedicated staff and enjoy getting to know all of our patients. It 's fun to come to work', she says.
