Digital X-rays offer a huge advantage in early detection and preventive services. Advanced image manipulation and analysis, for example, allows your doctor to detect early stages of gum disease through recognition of bone level changes, or by evaluating the results against a previous treatment.

An intraoral camera is an indispensable diagnostic and educational tool. The tiny video camera moves around inside of your mouth and generates a tooth by tooth video exam of your teeth. Using an intraoral camera allows patients to better understand their dental needs by seeing what the dentist sees and then having it explained.

Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. As you heal, the tissue reattaches to the bone and your gums return to a healthy infection-free state.

Friendly staff, dentist explained real good what treatment I need to have, they charged me a reasonable price for X-rays and consultation, I'm looking forward for my treatment that the dentist will plan for me real soon .

UPDATE: I did receive a call from them and they are working to get my billing issue fixed. There is a new manager there and he is hiring a new team and working to improve the business. I am going to give them another try because he reached out to me and took the time to hear my feedback. I will update my review again once my bill is taken care of and after my next visit in January 2023. ----------------------------------------------------- Don't know if I will go here again. My service was OK- a little rough and they were not all the nicest. My biggest complaint is billing. They did not bill my insurance at all. I got a $160 bill in the mail for routine cleaning. I called immediately and they said they would get back to me, nothing. Then a month later I got a letter from COLLECTIONS for this!! I called again and they were nice but said someone else had to call me back. Again nothing. Got the bill again this week.. tried to call twice and now they just have an automatic messaging thing that claims they got your info and someone will call you back. I think I will have to show up in person to get anything resolved... don't recommend, especially based on other recent reviews. Time to find another one

Staff is nice & friendly but dentist is HORRIBLE! My 1st visit she complained to me about the condition of my teeth. She doesn't care whether you're in pain or not. Just jabs the needle in. Last time she worked on me, she jabbed so hard she went too far & hit my facial nerve. And then had the audacity to brag about it to her hygienist. Each time I've had her has been terrible. Stay away!!!

Honestly I'm very disappointed with this place. Had X-rays done at a specialist and got them sent over to my family dentist. After doing that they had told me they were not going to charge me. Then getting to my appointment got charged for additional X-rays. Then wanting to charge me $1292.00 for a deep cleaning. If you have no insurance please do not come to this place they charge you for additional things that you don't need. For example what they are charging me for a deep cleaning I can go to a periodontist and get charged $800 for the same deep cleaning.

I HAD A SCHEDULED APPT TODAY . I HAD E CHECKED IN AND MADE SURE I WAS THERE 15 MINUTES PRIOR TO APPT. When I got there the doors were locked and there was no one inside.. I had asked for the day off and now After spending a long time to get hold of someone I finally had to reschedule for to reschedule for July the 5th.What a disappointing customer service and facility. THEY COULD OF CALLED ME AND TOLD ME !!

I had a scheduled appt that I had schedule a month and a half in advance due to their availability. Showed up to their office and there were no cars and the door was locked. I called the number on the door and checked their working hours and they should have been opened 30min ago. I finally called another number I found online and got ahold of someone. They did not even know what was going on and confirmed that they should be opened right now and my appointment is still on their calendar. She apologized and gave me an appt for the next day. 30min pass and I receive a call from the Tomball Office and they inform me that unfortunately they aren't able to see me tomorrow due to their calendar not being synced correctly. She offered me an appt for AUGUST!!!! I let me know I will be going elsewhere due to their professionalism.

To say I am terrified of the dentist, would be an understatement, but Tomball Smiles took fantastic care of me! I saw Dr Macpherson for an issue which I ended up needed to see Endo for. I went back later to see the Endo, Dr Thompson for that problem and was just as pleased with him as well. Both of the dentists and their assistants were amazing! They helped to calm my nerves and didn't make feel crazy for being so anxious. From the front desk, to every staff member I encountered each visit, they were all great!!!

Although the staff was kind and courteous I am very dissatisfied with my service here. I required pre-authorization from my Insurance for the work I needed and even after calling and reminding them several times to send the paper work they didn't take action and gave me excuses about their staffing issues. Waiting over 6 weeks to send paperwork is just unacceptable. 0/10 recommend

Female dentist traumatized me. I've never had an issue before when going to dentists, but this was.... indescribable. Can't even bring myself to type it all out, and that was back in October (2021)... I told my mom, husband, and a couple friends everything that happened; they were all shocked, said my feelings were justified, and that she needs to be reported to the board. The worst doctor I've ever dealt with (and I've dealt with countless doctors)... I was shaking uncontrollably and cried for days after, with awful dreams about it for weeks. And I'm a tough cookie who's been through plenty in life, so this says a lot. Editing to add more details: The male dentist there whom I had seen prior (sorry - don't remember names) was wonderful. He explained things and was kind and made sure I was comfortable. He was not there when I had to go back for an urgent matter. This woman was rough, rude, acted as though my presence was the most inconvenient thing in her life from the moment I walked in, completely apathetic to how miserable I was, and was just in a hurry to get the job done. (She didn't want to make time for gas, even though I said I'd pay extra for it and had fasted that morning and the night before just in case.) When she accidentally pinched my tongue (hard!) with the tweezers pulling thread, there was no apology nor asked if I was okay. But by this time, I had already been crying and shaking from the pain and that was nothing compared to her roughness with everything else; but again, she was more concerned about getting out of there quickly for the Astros game that evening. She continuously yanked at my face so hard, I bruised the next day. (And I don't bruise easily.) She didn't address my questions or give me any options for any of my other concerns... there's so much more, but all of that was enough for me to never go back, and advise others not to as well, as long as she's there because it's not like the office did any follow up after they saw what terrible shape I was in while there and when leaving. (She's the only female dentist at that location.)

It was an emergency tooth removal. She called it a hot tooth. It was an awesome experience. I went in with so much pain and left with none with the same day service. Definitely a wonderful place to go these ladies are very good with letting you know what's going on and what needs to be done they took care of me. They made sure I didn't feel a thing. Wonderful people here. I'm definitely going back to them.

Visted Jessica McPherson for a painful tooth and she was able to get me comfortable by preping for a root Canal that day. She was wonderful and friendly and talked with me to help ease my nerves. Been here multiple times and each time has been great. I highly recommend them!!!

My husband came in for his check-up and cleaning on 11/17/21. He had x-rays and the regular check, and the dentist told him everything looked good except 2 fillings needing replaced, and that the hygenist would be in for his cleaning. The hygenist told him he has severe gingivitis (the dentist didn't mention this, which was odd) and had the benefits coordinator come in to provide him with a quote for this extensive cleaning and the replacement of the 2 fillings. The quote provided was over $600, and did not have our actual insurance rates listed, just some apparent arbitrary rates. When he declined to sign the approval to pay this amount, he was not offered the standard cleaning that is covered 100% by our insurance and is part of the standard visit, but was just sent home. I called back later the same day to discuss these concerns. I checked the rates provided against our insurance patient charge schedule, and nearly every item he was quoted is either covered at 100% or at a significantly lower rate. The receptionist stated the benefits coordinator would call me back, but as of today (11/22/21), no call has been received. Accordingly, I canceled my appointments for myself and my children.

From the front desk to Dr. Alexander and the Dream Team, nothing but Top Tier Service and Hospitality! I absolutely would recommend this dentist office to anyone and everyone. The level of experience that I received words can't describe. I have had such bad experiences with the dentist offices in the past I never wanted to go until it was mandatory. All 4 wisdom teeth had to be removed and they made it as painless as possible. If there was 6 stars I would have given it to them.

Make sure you have all forms filled out online before you come because they do not like it when they have to help you in the office. The receptionist was a tad snarky and irritated I had not had anything done. I didn't recieve the link to do so and for one of my son's I never even received the confirmation email. And since our insurance doesn't send cards anymore, I had to wait for my husband to send the cards to me through text. I did have that before coming... not good enough. I didn't think it would be an issue the staff at my daughter's office was so friendly and helpful with these issues. My kids haven't seen the dentist yet, so we will see how that goes. I miss the days when people didn't get irritated at you for them doing their job.

Saw a different dentist than I was lead to believe I was seeing, she used a refrigerate to check for pain! Very painful method that I found out isn't used! Then I was told they would do a root canal in TWO different procedures and then the crown. Don't use!!
