Dr Tomar started her career in dentistry in 1989, attending a 5 year Dental program to earn a Bachelors degree in dental surgery. Then she continued her education at the prestigious New York University School of Dentistry, graduating with honors in 2000. In 2006, after practicing in Boston for a number of years, Dr. Tomar moved to the Puget Sound area to be closer to her extended family.
Dr. Tomar is an expert in full mouth construction and smile makeovers. She has an associate fellowship with World Clinical Laser Institute (WCLI). She is also certified and trained in the latest laser surgery techniques, and use of cad-cam technology for crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays and Invisalign (clear braces).
Dr. Tomar's goal in dentistry is provide guidance to help patients make decisions that lead to long lasting oral health and physical well-being. She prides herself in providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere in her clinic, and alleviating stress & anxiety associated with dental procedures through her calm and cheerful chair-side manners.
Outside of the office, Dr. Tomar spends her time with her two very active sons. She also enjoys time at the gym, participates in many fundraising races throughout the year, and volunteers with numerous local non-profits.

Dr. Tomar and her staff are wonderful and incredibly professional. Sharon in particular has been very kind and helpful during every step of the process. I'm not a fan of going to the dentist and both Dr. Tomar and Sharon put my mind at ease and made it an enjoyable experience.

Dr. Tomar is exceptional. She's experienced, knowledgeable, and current on emerging dental procedures and technology. Her demeanor is calm and confident, and she communicates well. I've had a lifetime of dental problems that have subsided under her care. She's performed emergency, preventative, and cosmetic dental work for me. Her attention to detail is second to none, and she doesn't stop until her work is perfect. On top of it all, her assistant, Sharon, is in synch with Dr. Tomar during procedures, does the heavy lifting on insurance claims, and runs a first-class office. If you need a dentist, see them.

I am a very long term patient of Dr Tomar's. My experience with most previous dentists were not comfortable. I had throat surgery many years ago that can make it difficult for me in the dental chair. Dr. Tomar and her assistant, Sharon are always intuitive and responsive to my situation. Dr. Tomar and Sharon are always on, time, completely professional and extremely competent. They are always updating to meet the new technologies that make patient treatments have the best possible outcome. Dr. Tomar gives clear concise recommendations and reasons for her treatment plan. She is enthusiastic about dentistry and a very positive person. Sharon does an excellent job of handling office, insurance etc. They give excellent service.

I am so pleased and impressed with this dental experience. I have a small mouth and a very strong gag reflex, and Dr Tomar and Sharon do everything humanly possible to make sure I am comfortable during each procedure. They are excellent communicators, and answer any question or explain anything to my fullest satisfaction. Just really nice people doing a great job.

I have been a client at Edmonds Bay Dental for 11+ years. Dr. Tomar is set apart from other dentists in that she performs the dental cleanings herself and is very thorough. Dr. Tomar and Sharon have great teamwork, they are conversational & friendly, they are always on time, the office is nice and has a lovely waterfront view. I always have a positive experience and have confidence in my dental health with Dr. Tomar.

Dr. Tomar and Sharon are wonderfully talented, patient and compassionate caregivers. I first came to Dr. Tomar after living with tooth pain for most of my adult life. Every other dentist I saw told me that there was nothing that could be done to further treat the pain. Dr. Tomar rebuilt the surfaces of my front teeth to cover the areas of sensitivity and eliminated the pain - although other dentists had told me that this was not possible. It is remarkable to see her do restoration work, she is a true artist. I recently had a crown put on and was experiencing discomfort that led me to believe that the tooth could not be saved. Dr. Tomar saw me weekly for treatments and told me to call anytime that I was having a problem. Each time she treated the tooth to remove the pain, and was able to save the tooth. She truly cares about her patients. She is responsive to urgent situations the same day and urges her patients to call rather than wait in pain. Truly remarkable! Thank you both for your work, you are a true blessing to your patients!

I have been going to Edmonds Bay Dental for couple of years now. Dr. Tomar and her assistant Sharon are very professional and courteous. There's minimum wait time with a scheduled appointment. They have the technology in place to provide you with a complete panoramic view of your teeth, allowing you to review your x-rays as the dentist explains next steps to be taken. I always have a lot of questions and they answer with great detail and patience. It is beautifully located within couple of feet from Edmonds Bay. If you're in the market for a great dentist, then I highly recommended Dr. Tomar
