Trust your orthodontic treatment to a certified Orthodontist. Orthodontists complete 3 additional years of study after dental school to become Orthodontic Specialists.

Dr. Hall has over 25 years experience using Lingual braces. He has attended numerous conferences and advanced training for this evolving technology and science of Lingual braces. Incognito Lingual braces are the most advanced generation of Lingual braces that Dr. Hall offers. Dr. Hall is recognized nationally by membership in the Incognito Golden Circle of Excellence with 12 other orthodontists across the United States.

Dr. Hall is certified by advanced training in PAOO/Wilckodontics. This technique allows a better orthodontic result, with additional bone, and post treatment stability, in a fraction of the normal orthodontic treatment time. Most accelerated orthodontic treatments are completed in 6-12 months using traditional outside braces or custom lingual braces. Advanced training is required to become certified in Wilckodontics. Dr. Hall has the most experience among orthodontists in Texas with this type treatment.

Dr. Tom F. Hall is an avid outdoorsman and In his free time enjoys sailing, water skiing, reading, bicycling, travel, hunting, and fishing. He is a regular supporter of the MS 150 Houston to Austin fundraising bicycle tour, having ridden 10 MS 150 Tours.

Patients entering our practice, as well as those already undergoing active orthodontic therapy, can greatly reduce time in braces by opting to be Fast Ortho with Accelerated Orthodontics - AOO - Wilckodontics. The procedure is known by several names.

Dr. Hall offers Accelerated Orthodontics in conjunction with the advanced Incognito Hidden lingual braces and offers different types of outside braces. Dr. Hall is the most experienced Houston orthodontist in Texas with Lingual braces and Accelerated Wilckodontics AOO Orthodontics.

Over 2 decades of research has culminated in the development of Wilckodontics - AOO accelerated orthodontics. Teeth may now be moved safely approximately 2-3 times faster. The treatment time for orthodontic cases can be reduced from 18-36 months to 6-12 months. Accelerated orthodontics is a combination of advanced orthodontics and periodontic oral surgery. This is a safe surgical procedure that is time tested and routinely used in dentistry for other objectives.

However, when used in combination with advanced orthodontics, orthodontists gain a powerful advantage in reducing normal orthodontic treatment times. Fast Ortho patients in our practice undergo accelerated orthodontics. Fast Ortho patients complete treatment in less time than traditional orthodontic patients.

Traditionally, orthodontic treatment takes a long time due to the limitations of the bone that surrounds the teeth. The slow and continual application of orthodontic forces triggers a biologic process resulting in extremely slow tooth movement. This is the mechanism that orthodontists have used to move teeth for the past 100 years.

Accelerated orthodontics solves this dilemma by employing advanced orthodontics combined with periodontal oral surgery which activates the bone that surrounds the teeth. By stimulating and harnessing the potential bone, the teeth can be moved at an accelerated rate, while at the same time adding new bone to support the teeth.

Activation of the bone surrounding the teeth involves the selective vertical scratching and addition of additional bone graft material. The procedure is performed by a specialist dental surgeon (periodontist or oral surgeon).

The reactivity and responsiveness of upper and lower jaws to activation and augmentation is consistent with the cell biology and physiologic stages are seen in the wound healing pattern of the regional acceleration phenomenon (RAP). Striking bursts in bone activity (demineralization and remineralization) occurs adjacent to the site of the activation and augmentation. Accelerated orthodontics demonstrates how the biologic response can be modified to the patients advantage. Truly: in vivo tissue engineering.

Dr. Tom F. Hall is the orthodontist certified to practice the technique of Accelerated Osteogenic Orthodonticstm in Houston. Dr. Hall has studied directly under the doctors, Bill and Tom Wilcko, who have pioneered the research efforts and developed the clinical procedures that encompass accelerated Wilckodontics orthodontic tooth movement.

Dr. Hall's practice is comprised of 50% children and 50% adults. We provide Early Interceptive Preventative orthodontic treatment for children age 7 through the teen years. Special attention to growth and development problems at this age can assure more favorable outcomes later. The American Association of Orthodontists recommends all children be seen for an orthodontic screening at age 7. However, orthodontics is possible at any age, so its never too late.

Dr. Hall offers conservative Interceptive Orthodontics for children during the proper phase of growth to acheive optimal benefits. Treating in Phases is a very conservative, but most effective method to minimize time in Orthodontic treatment while maximizing results. Trust your orthodontic treatment to a certified Orthodontist. Orthodontists complete 3 additional years of study after dental school to become Orthodontic Specialiists.

Many of Dr. Hall's adult patients have special bite alignment issues or complex problems with missing teeth and/or TMJ/TMD symptoms. Adult braces are very common today. Dr. Hall has experience with adult treatment to facilitate orthodontic care for the grown-ups who may have been too busy in the past or were too anxious about having braces. Dr. Hall is one of the best orthodontists in Houston for adult orthodontics. Treatment at any age is far easier than most adults think.

Our practice is the only Houston metropolitan Center of Excellence for the Incognito lingual braces system, behind-the-teeth braces that no one will know you are wearing, and they are the most technologically precise method available to straighten teeth. The results with CAD-CAM designed Incognito lingual braces are exceptional. Dr. Hall is the best Orthodontist in Houston for patients interested in lingual braces.

Dr. Hall also is the best orthodontist in Houston offering surgically accelerated Wilckodontics-orthodontics and has the most experience with this type of treatment. The benefits of surgically accelerated orthodontics include increased bone around the teeth, increased scope of orthodontic treatment, and enhanced stability of teeth post orthodontics. Plus, these cases can finish in less than half the time of conventional orthodontics! Dr. Hall is the premier orthodontist in Houston for accelerated orthodontics.

I had the Incognito braces to correct an overbite which was causing me to break teeth. Dr. Hall and his staff are amazing. Dr. Hall spends time with the patient at every appointment and answers all questions. He also accommodates the patient's travel and schedule. Finally, if some wire is poking or bothering the patient, Dr. Hall's staff works the patient in for an appointment right away. I am very pleased and highly recommend Dr. Hall.

Poor customer service and lack of email etiquette. Looked up wisdom teeth extraction on their site and from that same page, requested a free consultation. I then received this very matter-of-fact response from their Senior Treatment Coordinator: "We are an orthodontic office. We do braces. We don't extract teeth. You would need to see an oral surgeon for that." Since there's nothing to clarify that the service listed on THEIR SITE is specifically one this office DOES NOT provide, I really don't appreciate such a condescending tone from this staff person. Maybe remove this page from your site if it is a service you don't provide?

If you care about COVID-safe practices, do not go here. I saw two staff members walk into the office (from inside of a larger office tower) without wearing masks, then the doctor walked in without having his mask cover his nose. When I asked him to please cover his nose, he went on to be rude and disrespectful. I have been to the dentist and other doctors since COVID and all had on KN-95s at a MINIMUM with face shields due to the nature of having their patients take off masks for treatment. I should've known it wasn't a safe place when there was no signage or hand sanitizer.

I was turned away after a 5 minute consult when I really needed help with jaw pain and stiffness, tooth pain and misalignment. He did not hear my concerns and made a lot of assumptions that were not true about my dental issues. This was a shocking experience.
