I was born and raised in Chicago. I graduated from Niles North High School in Skokie, IL in 1993. I then attended the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) Honors College. I graduated in 1997 with a Bachelors in Biology and Psychology. The following semester, I started dental school at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville School of Dental Medicine. I graduated in 2001 with my Doctorate in Dental Medicine.
Our office has been active in the community, volunteering at the Pacific Asian Community Center health fairs. We are currently involved in the Give Kids a Smile program, visiting three different schools for dental health month. I am also a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, and the Chicago Dental Society.
My wife and I currently live in the Naperville area with our two sons. I love spending time with my family and of course, try to golf whenever I can. I believe everyone should be happy with their smile. We here at Todays Dental of Plainfield would like to create a beautiful smile for you and your family.
I received my Bachelors in Biology from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2000 and my Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine in 2004. I am very committed to staying on the leading edge of dental technology and this enables me to achieve great looking, strong, long-lasting and predictable results for each of my patients.
I regularly attend continuing education courses, keeping up with the latest innovations in dentistry. I am certified in the areas of rotary endo, implant placement and restoration, cosmetic dentistry, and botox. I am also an active member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, and Chicago Dental Society.
My wife, three boys and I currently live in Willowbrook. I love spending time with my family and enjoy watching and participating in various sports. Our philosophy at Todays Dental of Plainfield is to personally provide comprehensive gentle dental care at the highest level of quality and service. Dr. Rupal Patel is the newest addition to our Todays dental family but she is not new to dentistry. She has more than 10 years of experience of clinical dentistry. She graduated from prestigious dental school from her home country India in 2001; she finished her 1 year of internship after graduation and worked in private practice for nearly 3 years before moving to USA and making Illinois her home since then. She finished her 3 years of advance standing program from University of Detroit Mercy, Detroit, Michigan. She came back to Illinois after graduating and practicing since then here in Illinois. She adds valuable experience to our practice in manner of treating all age patient with passion and compassion. She is certified invisalign provider and has successfully completed many cases. She focuses on quality of treatment and providing care needed for our patient one person at a time. She has 2 young boys and she enjoys her free time spending with them and her husband.

I graduated with my BSA in Biology from the University of Texas at Austin (HOOK EM m/), and went on to receive my Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. I am currently doing my General Practice Residency at the Jesse Brown VA Center here in Chicago, IL and am so excited to join the Todays Dental family.
Education about all things oral hygiene is my passion. Having two dentist parents, dentistry has always been a huge part of my life. I love discussing oral hygiene tips and tricks with my patients and really helping them take control of their own oral health. I strive to create a personal bond with all of my patients, and want them to feel comfortable in my chair. It is important to me that my patients feel respected and heard, and form them to know that their comfort and care is my #1 priority.
Being a native Texan, exploring Chicago has become one of my favorite pastimes. I love to travel and experience new cultures, as well as spend time with my friends and family. If you have any recommendations for Chicago must-do/see/eat, send them my way!

Front desk ladies are awesome they got me in same day for tooth pain. Dr.A pulled my tooth painlessly and super fast. Doctor's assistant Pam was great she made me fell super comfortable during the procedure and was very gently when she took an x-ray of my tooth.

Hygienist was fantastic, but the dentist spent about 3 minutes with me. I wanted a second opinion somewhere else I called to get my records and I was told they would email them to me by the end of day. Never received an email. Called a few days later to follow up and was told they can't email them due to "security" and I would need to sign a release that they can send via email... took an hour and a half to get the release after the other office also called. I sent it back instantly. They still have not sent my records.

I have been terrified of Dentist my entire life, that is untill I met Dr. A , and his team. They are extremely patient with me. Its been a good experience for me from walking in the door till walking out. I'll be back!

This dental office is amazing!! I've always had the fear of going to the Dentist. After going here for extractions and deep cleaning, my fear has subsided! The Doctors are great and the ladies at the front desk are amazing! Thank you for tending to my dental needs!!

This is by far the best dentist I have ever been to. Everyone is very friendly and professional and doctor A is amazing. They answered all my questions and gave me multiple options options and referred me to people who took my insurance For things they cannot do in the office. They were also great with my daughter. I would highly recommend this facility.

This is a bad service for receptionist because I took an emergency appointment for my daughter and I called on dental 5 day before.And when my daughter and I went to the dental they said that I didn't make any emergency appointment.They said that I can come back tomorrow with my daughter but I can't because my work and the minutes it takes me to go there.And if we missed a appointment they give us after 4 months but if they are missing the appointment they made they give us the appointment for the next day.Before you go to the dental make sure that it's on the day they told you.If not it would be a waste of time.Thank You.

Worst ever. I was given an answer and price about a procedure then two weeks later they told me "we never said that and we can't do it." The manager, davey, was EXTREMELY rude. I've never been spoken to that way by any employee anywhere before!

I have been going to Today's Dental for years and both doctors are always so kind, patient, and caring (despite my dentist-anxiety!). My 2 year old son had his first appointment today and it was a wonderful experience. He was so thrilled about it, that he insisted on napping with his new toothpaste afterwards because "my dentist gave me it!"
