Since 1995, Terry and Beth Slocum have been serving the dental needs of Cartersville. You can be certain that the familiar faces of our staff will greet you at each visit. We want to earn your trust and for you to have a comfortable and expedient visit so that you choose us for your family dental home. Patients often say that the reason they choose us is because the voice they hear over the phone is friendly and knowledgable. It is a simple business mantra- treat people with respect, stand behind your services, be gentle, and your patients will return and tell their friends. We are happy to see new patients for long term care or for dental emergencies. Our office is grateful to Cartersville for its support and we hope to enjoy many more years serving you.

You will find valuable information on this website about dental problems, diagnoses, and treatments. We believe informed patients are better prepared to make decisions about their oral health needs and over-all well being. We encourage you to review this information to help you understand any concerns you may have.

My name Is Tammy Smith. I am a dental hygienist and I have been a member of Terry and Beths team for 19 years now. Over these 19 years I have developed great friendships with every member of our team and I have been blessed to work with my best friend since 10th grade, Amy Toole; our 20 year veteran assistant. I have also built great relationships with my patients many of which have been coming to see me for the 19 years I have been here. I enjoy learning about my patients and watching their families grow. Im Mylinda, and Ive been working with Dr. Terry and Dr. Beth at Todayss dentistry for 14 years. The staff here is a close knit team and weve become lifelong friends. The aspect of my job I enjoy most is interacting with patients. Its not just about teeth, its about meeting needs and developing relationships within the community. I find I have at least one point of common interest with everyone I meet. My main interests are gardening and travel with my husband and son.

I finally found "My Dentist." Had tried several dentists in the area, and a close friend told me to make an appointment with Dr Slocum. Everything was spotlessly clean, I was treated so nice, no sore gums, and everyone was very professional.

This was a consultation visit with Dr. Terry Slocum for my upper left central incisor (an auto accident in my teens had damaged the tooth and killed the root, so a root canal was performed. Later I had the tooth crowned, and about three decades after that had the crown changed for a more pleasing esthetic effect. So, the tooth has been through several major treatments. Then in January 2022 I saw Dr. Terry because the tooth had started to migrate downward, and although I had no pain I was concerned. Dr. Terry assured me that the tooth was healthy and offered two suggestions: 1) esthetic, or 2) leave it be. I chose to leave it because it was so minor. THEN, about two weeks ago I felt pain behind the tooth at the gumline and an abscess had formed. Back to Today's Dentistry. This time an Xray showed a more serious condition. The crown was failing and needed a minor surgical procedure. Dr. Terry sat down and patiently explained the entire problem, answered my questions and again gave me treatment options. I walked out with a referral to an endodontist, assured that I had the information necessary to make an informed treatment decision. Thank you again Dr. Terry Slocum.

Dr.Slocomb and all the staff are great. I was worried about my visit for days prior and it was unnecessary for me to do so. My visit was short and painless. I highly recommend them.

I made my first visit today and everyone was extremely nice and helpful. I met with Dr Beth for an exam and Dr Tammy for a cleaning and had a great experience. Their office is a little out of the way for me but it was worth it. I will be going back for all future dental care.
