Dr. Matthew Free believes in creating a warm and laid back dental visit while offering high quality care. Dr. Free completed his dental training at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. Dr. Free is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and is on track to receive the prestigious Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, Cheboygan Chamber of Commerce, and American Academy of Implant Dentistry. Dr. Free has a passion for lifelong learning and spends many of his weekends seeking out continued education in order to provide the very best care for his patients.
While completing his undergraduate studies, Dr. Free fell in love with a Northern Michigan girl and upon visiting Northern Michigan for the first time, fell in love with the area too! Dr. Free is excited to call Northern Michigan home. Dr. Free is married to his wife, Caitlin. They have a 3 year old boy named Graham, a newborn named August, and a 5 year old golden retriever named Juno. When Dr. Free isn't caring for his patients or attending dental seminars, he enjoys spending time with his family, any and all water sports, hiking, traveling, and enjoying all of the wonderful outdoor activities Northern Michigan provides!

Everyone at Today's Dental is so friendly and nice. I was intimidated going to a new dentist after having the same dentist for 30 years. But the minute you walk in they make you feel like you belong.

I received a dental implant and was very pleased with the work. The procedure was completely painless, the staff did everything to ensure my comfort and to provide information about the time and expense. Dr. Freeh did excellent work and the tooth looks great.

Very friendly staff!!! My kids (6 and 4) are so excited to come to the dentist and can't wait for their turn. The staff is very careful to explain what they are doing. They also work with my family to get my whole family in at one time. Best dentist around!

When I moved back to Cheboygan, after living in Traverse City for 25 years ,I was concerned about finding a Dentist in this area who would be as wonderful as my Dentist in TC ,since he had retired ,going to TC was not an opinion. I am so Thankful I found Dr.Free and His Staff!! Always so professional, friendly ,and knowledgeable. He is every bit as wonderful as my former Dentist. Truly " pain free Dentistry!"

The staff is very friendly and thorough when it comes to taking care of your teeth. They were quick to help me schedule appointments for any and all issues with my teeth, and are willing to work with me on payment plans!
