In 1999, Dr. Charles Crisler opened Toboggan Run Dental along with Dr. Richard Howenstine. Dr. Crisler is a native of Rice Lake and has been practicing here since 1993, after graduating from the University of Minnesotas School of Dentistry. He values his relationships with each and every one of his patients and is dedicated to providing high quality compassionate care for patients of all ages.
Dr. Rachel Engel joined our team in 2015 and is committed to giving the same dedicated, high quality and compassionate level of care our patients have come to expect from Toboggan Run Dental. She is also a Rice Lake native and graduated from the Marquette University School of Dentistry.

You don't sit around waiting! They get you right in. Like the TV in the exam room. Gives you something to keep your mind off what's happening. Really friendly folks, makes you feel at ease. Hasn't changed, great staff very friendly and efficient. Was in today in November and it was a great experience. Next appointment is in May. I've recommend this office to anyone who asks about who we use for our dental work.

I am always pleased with my experience. The staff is on top of confirming appointments and working with schedules, the hygienist and dentist both give honest and helpful dental advice and have ultimately made my family's dental health better!

Dr. Crisler's and Dr. Engel's office is TOPS! Been a patient there for over 20 years and love their care and service! Just to name a few--Patti, Kim, hygienist Sue, and of course Dr C are excellent in their capacities! (Please know I don't mean to exclude anyone-- for every experience has been a good one :-). I have ALWAYS been very fearful of going to the dentist. My experiences at Toboggan Run Dental have made me wish I'd have started seeing them years before I did. The staff is all super nice and very caring. One of their main priorities is to make sure that you are comfortable and aware of each step they take. Walking through the doors at Toboggan Run Dental is like coming home to family!
