I am originally from Hillsdale, Michigan. I grew up playing football, basketball and baseball. In 2007 (my junior year in high school) we won a baseball state championship. After high school I went to Michigan State University to pursue my education. I received my BS at MSU and did research in microbiology, working on the gut microbiome project. I studied dentistry at the University of Michigan and did research on the Class II Carriere appliance. I was fortunate to have my research published in the very prestigious The Angle Orthodontist Journal. From there, I studied orthodontics at the University Of Michigan and focused my research studies on MARPE, a novel approach to orthopedic expansion in skeletally mature patients.
Dr. Timothy Stroster was born and raised in Southeast Michigan. He completed his undergraduate studies at Wayne State University and then went on to attend the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry to pursue a career in dentistry. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1988, graduating top of his class. He then completed a one-year general practice residency at Sinai Hospital in Detroit, where he gained experience in dental trauma, oral surgery and orthodontics.
After practicing general dentistry for two years, Dr. Stroster return to the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry to complete a masters degree in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. Upon graduating in 1993, he and Dr. Hamway opened their first orthodontic office in Brighton, Michigan. Several years later, in 1998, they opened a second office in South Lyon and eventually opened their third office in Howell in 2019. Since the beginning, it has always been Dr. Strosters goal to provide top class orthodontic care and excellent customer service to all of his patients while also keeping up to date on all technical advances in orthodontics.

The entire staff is wonderful, knowledgeable, and puts my daughter at ease with her treatments. TNT has taken care of my 3 kids for their orthodontic needs and I highly recommend them to anyone!

So happy to have found TNT Orthodontics for my daughter and future children to come. Just walking into the south Lyon location There building is clean warm comfortable cozy feeling. The staff is outstanding from the receptionist on the phone or in person they are so polite kind generous friendly I could go on and on. My daughter feels so comfortable she loves going there. She loves the monthly drawings that's a great incentive. Thank you again and would definitely recommend telling others to come to TNT

Both my sons received orthodontic treatment at TNT with Dr.Stroster. One had braces and the other Invisalign. We could not be happier with the results. The offices are very well run making the scheduling of appointments and payment options a breeze. There were closer Orthodontic options to our Northville home but we are glad we made the drive to South Lyon ....could not have been a better experience! Thanks TNT Team!!!

Got braces there when I was 11. I'm now 25 years old. Still have and use the original top retainer. 10/10 would let them in my moth again

I had an appointment with TNT Orthodontics today about having a retainer made for myself, both of my kids had their braces done there in the past. The service I received today was excellent! Staff were professional, friendly, and welcoming. My appointment was in the morning, and the retainer was ready for me the same afternoon! It fits exactly the way it should, and is comfortable. Thank you so much to Dr. Hamway and all the wonderful staff there!!
