When Dr. Allman was only 8 years old, he knew he wanted to be a dentist. As he grew older, he set his course on a path that would lead him to Santa Clara University in 1982 and then on to graduate from UCLA School of Dentistry in 1986. Upon establishing his Reno practice after graduation, Dr. Allman began developing his skills by attending continuing education programs that focused on each area of dentistry including crown and bridge procedures, endodontics, oral surgery, dentures and partials, periodontics, orthodontics, craniofacial pain, TMJ disorder diagnosis and therapy, and oral appliance therapy for snoring and sleep apnea. He continues his quest for the best in dental education to this day and has amassed over 7,000 hours of continuing education. He practices a unique blend of dental care using state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment (for all facets of general dentistry) as well as non-surgical TMJ diagnosis and therapy and oral appliances for snoring and sleep apnea. Dr. Allman has also taught many dentists from around the globe as oneof the top experts in the country in the areas of TMJ diagnosis and treatment and Oral Appliance Therapy for Sleep Apnea. In addition, Dr. Allman works very closely with many medical specialists in the area to create an effective team approach to comprehensive patient care.

Dr. Allman is committed to advanced dental therapeutics and has demonstrated his knowledge and ability through testing and patient case review. Dr. Allman has been awarded a total of eight Fellowship and Diplomate Awards from the following organizations:

Dr. Allman andJuliene, his wife of over 32 years, love spending time with their children and grandchildren. They spend their free time with their two dogs and four horses as well as landscaping, boating, paddle boarding, kayaking and traveling.

Shandra has been working with the TMJ Therapy and Sleep Center off and on for over 18 years and is the Office Administrator. Her bright smile and friendly personality make everyone feel right at home. Shandras ability to do any task that is asked of her makes her an invaluable leader for our team. She is a UNR graduate and an accomplished baker and floral designer. She loves spending time with her husband and their two adorable children, doing just about everything outdoors ~ camping, hiking, gardening, bee keeping, fishing, boating and enjoying their friends and family.

Brenda is a true professional as she handles the front desk, phones, insurance and collections, always multi-tasking day in and day out. Brenda has been working in the dental field for over 25 years and has been working at the TMJ Therapy and Sleep Center for over 18 years. To Brenda, our patients are like family. She cares about each and every patient and they love her as well. Brenda enjoys gardening with the help of her pugs, cooking amazing southern dishes with hergranddaughter, and exploring the great outdoors. Brenda is the ultimate southern hostess and we love the annual 'Shrimp Boil' she and her amazing husband Gary host every summer!

April is an incredible member of our wonderful back office team! She graduated from TMCC as a Certified Dental Assistant and brings her own brand of humor and fun to our office. She has amazing energy which we believe comes from her never ending search for sweets! She and her husband have three children and April loves riding motorcycles, taking walks with her family and painting. Her love of dentistry and deep care for our patients make her an incredible addition to the TMJ team!

She and Dr. Brian Allman have been married for over 32 years and they have two wonderful grown children and five grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with family, playingwiththeir 2 dogs and 4 horses as well as flying, anything and everything outdoors, wood turning, writing, music, photography and traveling.

Sheryl is a true professional with a big heart. She brings her wonderful outlook to our office every day and she is always willing to go the extra mile for the team.
