TMJ & Facial Pain Center is a dental practice that provides general dentistry and is devoted to the diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of TMJ disorders, craniofacial pain and the management of snoring and sleep apnea utilizing dental sleep appliances.
When you have patients with unexplained head, neck and facial pain call on us to assist you with diagnosis and/or treatment! Our involvement and experience with the treatment of Craniomandibular Dysfunction(CMD) Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction (TMJ) and sleep apnea can be extremely beneficial to patients.
My studies in this field exceed 30 years. I believe strongly in a philosophy which involves a conservative, non-surgical approach to pain management with emphasis on multidisciplinary care. Our office also sees patients who present with symptoms other than CMD/TMD who require additional evaluation or treatment for facial neuralgias and obstructive sleep apnea. I have an abundance of training and credentials in the field of sleep dentistry.
He has lectured and been involved with a select panel of doctors who administer tests and certifications for other doctors in his field. He is one of the elite doctors that have achieved the status of Master of Excellence in the field of craniofacial pain.
His philosophy involves a conservative approach that emphasizes a multidisciplinary network with other health professionals whenever needed. This integration helps patients acheive maximum medical improvement effeciently.

Dr. Curtis is the only doctor I will ever completely trust with my jaw. He is kind, caring and a great doctor. Dawn is the nicest medical manager I have ever met. These people have become like family to me. Geniva and Aubrey are also so sweet. If you have jaw issues this is the place to go. They have been a blessing in my life.

I recently had my second annual visit after undergoing splint therapy by Dr Curtis in 2020. He and his staff were knowledgeable, helpful and courteous as usual. Since receiving splint therapy with an upper and lower appliance, all of my painful symptoms of TMJ disorder are gone. At first I was apprehensive about treatment because I didn't know what to expect. But he and his staff gave me reassurance and my life has been changed for the better. The end result is amazing. I thank God for Dr Curtis and his staff. I only wish I had gone there sooner!

Dr. Dave Curtis and his staff of courteous, highly trained professionals far exceeded my expectations with the exceptionally thorough diagnosis of why I was having extreme pain in my right ear joint. His state of the art equipment provided him with an accurate diagnosis. Best of all is I can honestly say--from personal experience for myself, as an orthodontist who has often referred patients to Dr. Curtis and now, as a patient that his level of excellence is only superseded by his compassion and caring nature. Wife had her 1st appt today wife suffered a slip and fall injury. at our local mall .Dr Curtis gave my wife conflicting diagnosis. Diagnosed with severe pain possible jaw out of alignment then came back and indicated nothing he could do. Obviously my wife was in severe pain to the touch that brought her to tears. short of it $350.00 out of pocket cash. Warning if you are in possible litigation this guy is a company guy will not get involved to help you at all this is the impression he gave my wife and I better off doing further research. Find someone that helps people not bow down to corporations. By the way Dr. Curtis was reffered by Dr Benjamin Vela.
