Not sure what to think. Our kids were patients for a few years and everything was fine. Then our son got a few cavities, which they treated. A couple of weeks after, they found three cavities in my daughter's teeth. Perplexed by this sudden number of cavities, we asked for a second opinion to our dentist who...found only one cavity in my daughter's teeth (yes they did X-Rays.)

Her staff is also very nice and professional. My 10 year old daughter is never afraid to go for her dental appointment anymore. I would 100% recommend Dr. Miner. Krystyna from Newington

I want to thank Dr. Miner, her assistant Sam and the rest of her staff for being so attentive to my son's needs. She was able to provide us with several treatment options to best suit my son's needs and to ensure that this experience was as stress free as possible. I think it is so great that she treats children at CCMC in order to address all of the patients needs at one appointment. If I could this office 10 stars, I would!

Please get another opinion before choosing this office. Office tried selling me caps for my 3 year olds teeth before we even had a consult. They told us my child needed to have all of her molars capped under anesthesia. The dentist told us she had 6 cavities. We went for 2 other opinions. Turns out she only had 2 cavities and they only needed to be filled. Much too of an aggressive and unnecessary approach in my option and I'm glad I decided to go somewhere else instead of putting my child thru all of that.

Took my 7 and 6 year old here for a routine checkup once about a year ago coming from a previous pediatric dentist in NY each with no cavities. All of a sudden my 7 yr old has 3 cavities and my 6 yr old has 4 or 5. Red flag went up for me when just the yr prior they had none. Right away they wanted them on happy air to fill cavities. Never went back found a new dentist a yr later. Just had their appts with the new dentist and what do you know, no cavities. I would suggest getting another opinion before proceeding with anything here. Not to mention the moody demeanor of the front desk lady! No smile no personality with the kids.

My children and grandson are long-time clients of TLC Pediatric Dentistry. All our interactions have been great. The staff, hygienists, and Dr. Laura are professional as well as very caring and respectful of their patients and their families. Dr. Laura does not push unnecessary treatments and is honest about options available to remedy situations. Appointments are on-time with little to no wait prior to receiving treatment. I only wish Dr Laura handled adult dentistry - I would be one of her patients.

Dr Miner should not be allowed to practice at all. We took our 4yrs old daughter back in August to her clinic and was told that she would need to perform root canal, silver capping and extraction on a total of 10 teeth through hospital sedation and/or 5 rounds of office visit for about 45mins each visit. We then took her for 2nd and 3rd opinion and both Dentists agree that the suggestion given by Dr Miner was drastic and only 2 teeth need intervention. Both of those 2 teeth are now cavity free by simply applying a liquid treatment called SDF (Silver Diammine Fluoride). She had lied to me by stating that my daughter's nerves are already impacted, which wasn't true. I had asked her clearly if there are any other methods she can use to slow down the progression of the cavity so that i could buy some time until my daughter becomes a little older and she said there aren't, which wasn't true again. I had asked her assistant how often Dr Miner does treatment through hospital sedation and I was told every 2 weeks. I deeply deeply feel sorry for all those kids who might have gone through unnecessary intervention and I hope this review initiates other parents to question her. Save your kids! Find another doctor with minimal intervention. Our kids do not deserve a doctor like her.

Dr. Miner and her staff are amazing! Being a dental assistant myself, I am very picky about who treats my child. I can say with 100% confidence that I trust Dr. Miner to give my son the best treatment possible. She is incredibly kind, patient, and professional. My son actually looks forward to his dental appointments!
