Dr. Steven D. Muckey is the founder, Chief Dental Officer and Managing Director of TLC Dental. Dr. Muckey has been a licensed and practicing dentist since 1980, and has developed and successfully operated several dental practices and dental management companies. With a proven track record of success in leading teams in business operations, leadership development, marketing and sales development, he has advised some of the worlds leading corporations such as American Express, AT&T, Citibank, Columbia Pictures/Records, Comcast, MLB, NBA, SONY, and Universal just to name a few.
Sashas main focus with those companies has been in the areas of corporate restructuring, sales development, training and personal development. In addition to working with Fortune 100 companies, Sasha also garnered in-depth experience working with small to mid-size businesses including numerous dental and medical practices. His knowledge has helped build efficient corporate infrastructures while building awareness of his clients practices, brands, services and products.
His passion for working with dental practices, along with improving patient care, is where he has found his greatest professional satisfaction and is what led him to the Dental Industry. He has worked extensively with dental practices for the last decade and a half, including coaching with Fortune Management.

Dr. Romer is a native Floridian and was raised on Miami Beach. After attending the University of Florida (GO Gators!), he was accepted and graduated from the Medical College of Va., Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dental Medicine.
When the dental school at Nova-Southeastern University started, he was an adjunct faculty member until 2006 when he sold his practice and became a full time faculty member at NSU School of Dental Medicine until 2012.In 2012, Dr. Romer was hired as a founding faculty member at LECOM School of Dental Medicine where he rose to become the Assistant Dean of pre-clinical education until 2017.
Dr. Romer, a well-respected and passionate mentor, has served many positions in organized dentistry including past President of both Broward County Dental Association and Atlantic Coast District Dental Association.
Most recently Anthony was the controller of a New Jersey based worksite marketing and benefit administration brokerage firm, where he played a significant role in the management, development and growth of the company. Anthonys focus on employees, his attention to innovative thinking and process analysis helped pave the way for improved financial operations.
Ramon was born and raised in Valencia, Venezuela and relocated to sunny South Florida back in 2009. As a foreign graduated Oral Surgeon who happens to be passionate about the dental business operations, Ramon has a great combination that helps him understand every patients need from both perspectives.
With over 10 years of experience and variety of exposure, from Oral Surgery to Pediatrics, he always accomplishes his number one priority of delivering 100% excellence in patient care and happy working environments. Ramon believes that a great leader is one that helps their team members develop, grow and succeed. His mantra is servant leadership is the best management style.
Lauri was born and raised in South Florida. She graduated the University of Florida with a Bachelors in Sociology in 2000. Post-graduation, Lauri worked in the Classifieds Department for the Sun-Sentinel. From there she ventured into Advertising, where she worked for a local automotive advertising agency, MJS Advertising, for the next five years. Her advertising career began in the Media Department and then she later transitioned into an Account Executive. With her father, mother and two uncles all immersed in the dental field, it was inevitable that Lauri would eventually join forces with them! In 2011, Lauri joined the TLC Dental family, where she runs the Marketing and Credentialing Department. She loves animals, the beach, going to Disney and spending time with friends and family.
Susan started her career in dentistry when she joined the US Air Force and was told she would be a Dental Assistant. For 41 years, she has never regretted it. She has worked in almost every field of dentistryas an assistant, to manager, and onto consulting and computer training.
In the 1980s, computers were being installed in dental offices across the country and she quickly learned that her inner child was a geek. She has never met a computer that she didnt like. Her passion for technology and her experience with insurance and management make it enjoyable for her to teach and lead her team toward excellence.
Rosa was born in the Dominican Republic. She moved to New Jersey at the young age of three years old. Rosa has over ten years of experience in the dental field. She obtained her bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration in 2012, which gave her the background to become a fantastic team leader.
She finds it extremely rewarding to help others and inspires growth in her team on a constant basis. 'Dentistry is about prevention and educating our patients to achieve an optimal healthy smile! I love working with the patients to achieve this.'
Her greatest joy is celebrating, side-by-side, the smile transformations of our patients. Being able to assist in building confidence, brightening smiles and making treatment affordable is a few of her key roles. Her upbeat and genuine demeanor shines daily and we are so lucky to have her as part of our dental family.
Laura, a native Floridian, has worked in the dental field for 10 years. Her affection for dentistry stems from the ability to witness real-life smile transformations daily. Seeing patients go through their smile journey and leaving with a whole new confident demeanor is her utmost joy.
She gets the ultimate hands-on experience working with patients. The journey starts from welcoming them to our dental family, creating a customized treatment plan and continuing to assist with the progression and maintenance of their oral health and well being.

Ursula, raised in Peru, completed her dental studies in 2001. Having that education and experience as a dentist has greatly enhanced her career. Along with her great personality, she has the clinical knowledge and skills to effectively work with patients in facilitating any necessary treatment.
Coming to the United States in 2002, she started as a dental assistant for the next six years. Later, she joined the TLC Family as a treatment plan coordinator . She loves her career because she gets the chance to improve patient's smiles while helping regain their confidence.

This location is very unorganized!! Their office staff is subpar at best and very argumentative. If you don't stand your ground they will definitely waste your time with last minute rescheduling. I am actively looking for another office.

My 93 year old mom was told they would not treat her because of missing paperwork. After providing insurance and all personal information and waiting 3 weeks with a cracked tooth she arrived at the office and was rudely told she would have to reschedule. They did a terrible job communicating and showed no empathy.

My husband and I are newbies to this office, having been with the same dentist for 30 years. We couldn't be happier with the staff. From front desk to the wonderful Dr. Jacobson. I came for an extraction and they did multiple x-rays drained my Delta insurance .they did offer me a plan because I had more work to be done and pushed for a deep cleaning offering some kind of financing...at the end ended up paying out of my pocket more than I should...they charge my insurance nearly a thousand dollars and they are still harassing me for $37 and threatening me to report it to the credit bureau. This is because of that kind a behavior only guided by profit that we are in the U.S in such a healthcare crisis when you get to choose between put food on the table or take care of your health if you can!!

Terrible front office staff. The most unorganized and under-informed office staff that I have encountered. Every time I have an appointment there is always an insurance or scheduling issue. I can specifically ask for a certain hygienist and scheduled under another despite my requests. Insurance information is always an issue.. to the point where I would have to be self-pay, pay for my service out of pocket, then reimburse because someone realizes that they take my insurance. The only reasons I continue to come to this office is because I have been patient of Dr J for over 15 years (prior to him working at TLC) and love Kristen, his hygienist.

Kristyn the hygienist is an amazing, sweet and caring person. You can tell when a person loves there career and Kristyn is definitely that person! I was scared of the dentist and especially a cleaning but nope not anymore since she makes you feel comfortable, definitely recommend her! Wouldn't want anybody to clean my teeth

So I went in on Monday for a quick consultation about a wisdom tooth that had cracked. The ladies at the front desk took the time to discuss some options and wanted to make sure that I wasn't in any pain first & foremost. They had an opening Tuesday (today) and wanted me to meet with the dentist, Dr. Sorossa. After a quick xray, I decided to go ahead with the extraction. Everything was explained thoroughly and the procedure took about 25 minutes and most shockingly, pretty much painless....much to my delight. A huge thank you to the staff at TLC...I would highly recommend their services to anyone in need

Kristyn at TLC Dental tamarac is truly amazing!! My teeth have never looked better and the process was painless. I had half of my teeth cleaned in the first visit and couldn't wait to go back to have the rest done. She was very reassuring and took the time to explain all of my many questions and concerns. After years of neglect I feel beyond fortunate to have a second chance at doing things right and I plan on taking good care of my teeth moving forward. I already booked my next cleaning!

I came into this office in excruciating pain, hoping to get some answers or help, not only was I given wrong information, my insurance covers 100% of wisdom tooth extractions yet they wanted to charge me 712.00 for meds associated with extracting the tooth, after calling my insurance I found out that was a huge over charge.. I did not need to be put to sleep, local anesthesia is fine yet the nurse (male) made me scared half to death to do it. This is definitely a very shady atmosphere and I would not recommend to ANYONE.. I ended up going to Dr. Carlo E Guevara I must say, not only was he thorough with the explanations and i only paid a whopping $230.00 for 2 extractions with my laughing gas and regular anesthesia ( all I needed) and the office was definitely more comfortable and 100% clean opposed to when I was quoted 712.00 by Dr. Fisher and his team at TLC and going into their dirty dental rooms... I've never seen anything like this and I will be ensuring NO ONE I KNOW ever sets foot inside this office not any of their locations!!!

I saw Kristyn, RDH for my deep cleaning. She removed my tea and coffee stains on my 2 front teeth and became my best friend (we've never met before)! I'm so thankful. But here's the thing, she was gentle, efficient, and she relaxed me multiple times by informing me that her tools were not needles lol. A little background info, I haven't had a cleaning since 2016. That's about 5 years. I am the biggest chicken when it comes to the dentist. Thank you new best friend Kristyn, see you again in a few short months.
