Dr. Hong is a general dentist who is highly trained in all aspects of general dentistry. He is a graduate of Binghamton University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He then went on to attend the highly competitive School of Dental Medicine at Stony Brook University where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He completed his residency training at Staten Island University Hospital- North Shore Long Island Jewish Hospital and worked in a private group practice for 5 yrs before leaving to start TLC Dental of Rockland in 2008.
Dr. Hong is very passionate about his profession and believes strongly in preventive and conservative dentistry. To achieve this he has employed the use of new technologies such as Itero 5D (3D intraoral scanner), Electric ultraquiet handpieces for patients' comfort, Diagnodent cavity scanner, vibraject and digital x-rays(see new technology section). Dr Hong is passionate about learning and exceeds his continuing education requirements annually. He is currently undergoing rigorous training at the prestigious Kois Center under the guidance of the world renowned Dr. John Kois. He is also active in his profession as a member of the American Dental Association(ADA), Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), New York State Dental Association, Ninth District Dental Association, Rockland County Dental Society, International Congress of Oral Implantologist, American Dental Implant Association, American Academy of Facial Esthetics and American Academy of Clear Aligners.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife Ellen, his son Isaac and his daughter Eden. He also follows his favorite local sports teams and loves to fish. He attends church at Joy Christian Fellowship in Englewood.

From the receptionist to the dental hygienist, Renata to Dr. Hong what a service! My dental hygienist, Renate, gave me the most thorough and yet gentle cleaning ever!! The atmosphere to it all deserves 5 stars! Such a pleasant experience!

My last visit to TLC dental I met a dental hygienist LEXIX FERNANDEZ that performed a cleaning and examined the health of my teeth as well as below the gumline. she is very knowledgeable and highly recommend.!

I tried to make an appointment to fix my molar. The appointment is 8 days later, but this office wants to get money first even before I get any treatment. My insurance covers the cost pretty well. I've never experienced this kind of dentist. Front desk employees are rude. They neglect to make appointments right away after my previous visit. Dental hygienists are rude. They didn't even introduce themselves. They took lots of X-rays as soon as I sat down even before cleaning. No explanation at all about why and how it would work. It was embarrassing. Terrible experience! I do not recommend this office.

I have been a patient at TLC Dentistry for 5 years now . Dr Hong is a MASTERCLASS dentist who is informative and always makes me feel comfortable.TLC Dentistry has modern rooms and equipment and is an impeccably clean facility even with today's ( COVID) heightened regulations. I recently had a check up and a cleaning by Dr Hongs Hygienist Kathleen . She to like all his staff makes you feel welcome and comfortable . My wife and daughter are also patients as well . My experience at TLC Dental is always a great one...staff and Dr. Han is very nice and always check to make sure you are comfortable through any type of work that needs to be done. Dr. Han is without question the most talented dentist I have ever been to. He is very caring, professional and kind. The staff is outstanding and welcoming. I have been a patient of TLC for years and cannot recommend the practice more highly.

A vary clean, heathy and pleasant experience. Everyone there as well versed in their skills and I always leave felling healthier and refreshed. The doctor and staff are also incredibly flexible to work with and will always consider your needs. I heavily recommend going to them.

It is a pleasure to walk in to TLC Dental of Rockland. You are always greeted with a warm smile from everyone in the office. Mary at the front desk is always fantastic with everything and goes above and beyond to make sure you are happy and that all questions are answered. Dr Hong is awesome and does great work. Dr. Hong ans his staff are just simply amazing! I was searching for a good dentist for a bunch of work for awhile. Ever since I stepped into this office it's been a pleasure. I have had bad experiences with dentists, and he makes everything so easy and pain free! Been going for 1.5 years now and my children will be going to him also. He is super honest with all the work he does and needs to be done. Straight to the point! Simply the best!

TLC dental is wonderful.This was an excellent dental experience for me. The staff is professional, knowledgeable and caring. Honestly never liked going to the dentist, but today was a very positive experience and now I'm not so anxious about my next visit. Mary was very helpful and patient with getting registered as a new patient, Kathleen was the best dental hygienist in my entire experience, and of course Dr. Han was thorough, patient, and educated me clearly on my health of my teeth and gums.
