Dr. Breanna Barnes is originally from the Kansas City area. She attended the Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health, where she obtained both her Doctor of Dental Medicine and Master of Public Health degrees. During dental school, she participated in several pediatric rotations, which inspired her to pursue a career that focuses on treating children and helping the underserved. Dr. Barnes completed both her pediatric dentistry residency and her Master of Dental Science degree at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tennessee.
Dr. Barnes and her husband, Jake, have lived in several cities, but ultimately decided to settle in Franklin to be close to family. They have two children, Beau and Lillie, who are 18 months apart and keep them on their toes. Dr. Barnes and her family love to spend their weekends hanging out with family and hiking the trails of Edwin Warner Park.
Question: What motivated you to become a dentist? Answer: I knew I wanted to do something in the healthcare field and that was hands-on. Dentistry is the perfect mix of incorporating medicine and art.
Question: What do you enjoy most about being a dentist? Answer: What I enjoy most about being a pediatric dentist is having fun while Im helping others. I love getting to know the patients, bonding with families, and watching their children grow.
Question: An interesting and unique fact about you? Answer: I am really into scary stuff. Once my husband and I stayed in a haunted house called the Sallie House in Atchison, Kansas for a night by ourselves. We even brought a ghost detector and our camera to record any movement, which ended up going off in the middle of the night!
Dr. Justin Chafin is a board-certified Pediatric Dentist. Born and raised in Florence, Alabama, he is a graduate of Lipscomb University in Nashville where he met his wife, Kayla, who was born and raised in Columbia, TN. He attended The University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry where he obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. Following dental school, he attended New York University College of Dentistry and graduated with his Certificate of Advanced Education in Pediatric Dentistry.
He loves meeting and getting to work and hang out with kids and their families every day. He and Kayla have a daughter named Lenora and a shih tzu named Willow. In their spare time, they enjoy travelling, trying new restaurants, hiking, camping, and being outdoors.
Question: What motivated you to become a dentist? Answer: I love the balance of dentistry. The medical aspect of dentistry, the hands-on aspect of physically doing the work, the social aspect of getting to know patients and their parents, and the emotional aspect of fixing someones smile!
Question: An interesting and unique fact about you? Answer: I bought a new car a couple of years ago and ended-up in a wreck shortly after I rolled off the lot. The car was totaled. With the insurance money, I bought the exact same model car. When I was driving the replacement car a few weeks later, I ran out of gas. Later on when I was in a store, someone backed into the car and dented one of the doors while I was shopping. Sometime after that, it was stolen from a valet service at a hotel where my wife and I were staying. The thieves had trashed the car and ran into something that resulted in more damage to it. The car was ultimately recovered by police and returned to me. Shortly after it was repaired, it was broken into while parked on a street in Nashville. This car has been through a lot but I still drive it to this day!

Very nice not slow very polite people great Dennis that do their jobs good incorrectly they really care about these children thank you dentist's and staffing!! The last at the front desk got me in IN ONLY 1day!!! Nice facility

Took my 3 boys here today and we were in and out in no time! I have to give praise to the staff for being so kind, courteous, patient, and informative with us. And they were so gentle and kind with my youngest two as it was their first time going to the dentist. I cannot thank you all enough!

The dental cleaning and evaluation were as expected. The office was clean and getting an appointment was easy. Although, if you need a dentist for a hesitant child or you want to take a less agressive approach to dental treatment as was my case, I would steer clear. I had clearly communicated my preferences for my daughter's treatment plan and we agreed. But during treatment for a couple of fillings on other teeth, that agreement for treatment wasn't held and it led to a tooth being pulled that I had clearly stated should be done in an additional visit. We left the office that day with a crying child, covered in blood and a half pulled tooth. The office tried to rectify the situation by calling several oral surgeons to finish the job, but not one office could see a pediatric patient for at least two weeks. There was no follow up or contact from the office to check on my daughter afterward. Only an automated six month remider message. :( Fortunately, we did find another dentist that did finish the job that afternoon, but instead of comforting my daughter, I was on the phone calling dental offices in the area trying to find someone at the end of the day to finish the job that wasn't supposed to even be an option for treatment that day. Also, just had a six month visit at a new dentist for one of my other children. In 12/2021, this child had surface fillings on tooth #s 7,8,9 at Titan Pedicatric Dental. Those same teeth, same surfaces, are needing the same work to be done again only 6 months later. :( If it wasn't for the ease of getting into an appointment and the cleaning itself, this business would have received a 1 star. Hopefully, this was a one time incident and no one else has to go through this.

We are brand new patients and are beyond impressed with this practice. Not only were they all kind, gentle and friendly but they went out of their way to explain each steps to my 5 year old who has some dental phobia. So glad we made the switch!

We visited Titan for the first time after our 1 year old fell down the stairs and needed immediate care. We weren't even patients of their practice, but they squeezed us in on a moments notice anyway. The care we received from the dentist, hygienist, and administrative staff was incredible. They were so sweet to our little girl and gave us great advice on how to move forward. They took a very scary situation and made us feel totally comfortable and at ease. We are so grateful!

We've been to many dentists over the years with our kids and living in different states. Titan pediatric dentistry is by far the best! Amazing group of people that work there! What a breath of fresh air for my kids to enjoy going to dentist visits again! And it wasn't just the kids they were awesome with...they were amazing and detailed with us as parents! Highly, highly, highly recommend!

We LOVE Titan Pediatric!! My little girl was TERRIFIED of the dentist before we went to TPD. When we went for her cleaning, Chris was so kind and personable up front. It made me as a mom feel very welcomed and comfortable. Courtney and Kenzie (whom my daughter adores) were so patient with her and made it seemed so effortless! When I called back to their office a week or so later, Chris answered and remembered us! That means a lot to me. My daughter ended up needing a ton of work done, Dr. Robyn was AMAZING. She explained everything so well and I felt her and the team genuinely cared about her. They worked with me on payment plans, which was nice because we also needed anesthesia. Dr. Bradford came in from NOBA and was the BEST at explaining and working with Annie. This was overall the best experience we have ever had in dentistry. I have worked as a dental assistant myself and I know working with little ones is not always easy, but they all seem to genuinely enjoy what they do and show that they care. My little girl is excited to go back and has even mentioned that she would like to be a dentist when she grows up. I can't thank them enough for turning her anxiety around and taking care of her.

This is the best pediatric dentistry I have been to. They made us feel like family and explained things in simple terms about my daughters TMJ. I am very pleased with their services. They allow payment plans too! Also experienced in special needs children! I highly recommend you give them a try!
