Dr. M received her MBA/MHA from Texas Womans University, Dallas, Texas. Dr.M has proudly served the US ARMY, as the First Female Combat Medic for the 3rd Special Forces at Fort Bragg, NC, where she receivedThe Army Achievement Medal and Army Commendation Medal.
She then earned her dental degree from the UPENN School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia, PA where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. Following dental school, Dr. M completed her post-graduate residency training in Pediatric Dentistry at YALE Childrens Hospital, New Haven, CT. Dr. M received extensive training in behavior management, emergency treatments, working with special needs patients, and sedations.
Dr. M is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Dental Association. In her free time, she enjoys dancing, running and spending time with family and friends. Dr. M looks forward to providing quality dental care and dental education to children and teens that will leave them with a life-long foundation for good oral health.

Great experience for my kid's first dental visit with 2 fillings. Dr. Swapnil and team is very friendly and makes your kid feel welcomed! Treatment was done without any fuss... I walked in as a concerned mom but left a happy one!!! Highly recommended!

Dr. M is the BEST!! My son has always struggled with going to the dentist but after bringing him here, he has no problem going anymore. Dr. M and everyone in her practice is so patient and makes the child feel comfortable. I'm so happy we found this place!

Dr. Mahendrakar and her team are extremely knowledgeable and caring. My 8 y/o needed a complex procedure and she explained the x-rays to us and guided us very clearly through the treatment options and their possible drawbacks (root canal after apexification vs. pulpotomy w/apexogenesis, I think, but I could be wrong). Her dental assistant and the front office were great as well. She performed the procedure just as described while helping my daughter be as relaxed as possible, without ever trying to "scare" her or pressure her into behaving or staying still. That (and the nitrous oxide) really helped my kid feel safe, relax, and be able to focus on her Moana movie without a single tear. Absolutely recommended. I wish there were more dentists like her.

My four year old had a rough time but the staff was patient and understanding but also firm about what they needed to do. My three year old had so much fun that he was upset when we left. They really went out of the way with the little extras. If your looking for a place that's just for kids you should definitely check them out!
