Thats why, immediately after graduating dental school, Dr. Ben Tindal entered a prosthodontic program which involved 3 additional years of advanced training, helping him to become an expert in repairing and replacing damaged teeth with beautiful, lifelike restorations.
To go a step further, he literally spent the next 10 years looking for the perfect hygienist, which he found in Katie. She has over 30 years of experience in dentistry and is able to provide thorough, gentle cleanings that help our patients get back to baseline so theyre prepared for any other treatments they might need.
Once the right people were in place, Dr. Tindal then invested in some of the latest dental technology available today. With the newest instruments, hes able to get a better look at patients dental anatomy, better explain treatments, and deliver more comfortable and precise care at the same time.
And, Dr. Tindal even came up with a way to help people easily afford this exclusive type of dental care. With our Dental VIP Program, one annual fee completely covers a patients basic dental care for the year and gives them access to discounts on all other services.

Dr. Tindal was born and raised in northern Indiana, and he moved with his family to Florida right before his senior year of high school. With a true passion for what he does, Dr. Tindal strives to care for every patient as though they were family. He looks forward to serving you and your loved ones using his expertise in dental prosthetics, dental implants, and many other advanced restorative services.
Dr. Tindal was initially drawn to dentistry because it gave him the opportunity to use both his mind and his hands to improve peoples lives in a meaningful way. He often tells his patients that he combines art, science, and engineering to restore their smiles. His dedication to service and technical savvy makes him perfectly suited for the delicate work required of a prosthodontist, and to him, nothing is more fulfilling than knowing he helped give someone their smile and confidence back.
Dr. Tindal received his bachelors degree from the University of South Florida and his Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Florida. While there, he was awarded for outstanding undergraduate work in the field of prosthodontics by the American College of Prosthodontics.
He continued his education with a three year residency at the University of Florida where he obtained his masters degree and certificate in prosthodontics. During his third year of residency, he was selected to be the chief resident by his peers.
He has a true love for modern esthetic dentistry and completed his masters research in the field of composite bonding. He thoroughly enjoys advancing his knowledge in the areas of ceramics, dental implants, and complex multidisciplinary treatment planning.
Dr. Tindal enjoys spending his weekends with his family, which includes his wife and four children (two boys and two girls). He also enjoys learning about cars and playing the guitar whenever he can. During football season, youll find him cheering for the Florida Gators.
Dr. Tindal is also involved in various charitable organizations, including Project Christmas Smiles (provides free dental care for those in need) and SPARCC (a non-profit organization which provides domestic violence and sexual assault services).
Katie has been a registered dental hygienist since 1986. She graduated from Prairie State College in Chicago Heights, Illinois where she lived for 30 years before moving to Florida in 1998. Earlier this year, Katie received the title of Certified Registered Dental Hygienist. This allows her to provide dental anesthesia to her patients as needed. She is passionate about dental hygiene and is always striving to provide high-quality patient care. She is dedicated to learning and using the latest techniques in dentistry and dental hygiene so she can offer each patient an individualized plan. Her expertise in dental hygiene and local anesthesia, aptitude for learning, and team-based approach make her an extremely valuable member of our team.
Katie is married to her high school sweetheart, Allen, and they have three wonderful daughters and three pugs. When shes not at the office, Katie enjoys spending time with her family, going on weekend getaways, running, and doing hot yoga.
Brittany graduated from Manatee Technical Institute in 2011 where she earned her certification in dental assisting, radiology, and expanded functions. As one of Dr. Tindals chairside assistants, Brittany focuses on patient needs in order to provide them with a superior experience in our office. You may also notice her lending a hand at the front desk and greeting you as you arrive. Her kind and welcoming personality is a big asset to the Tindal Prosthodontics staff.
Destiny is a Florida native, so she naturally chose to complete her studies at the University of South Florida. Since joining our team, she has loved coming into work each day because it means getting to see patients transform their smiles into the ones they will love for the rest of their life.
With 13 siblings total, Destiny comes from a large family! When shes away from the office, she loves traveling and exploring. Although she loves the beach and the sun, she is always down for a day on the ski slopes too.
Maria is from Miami and attended the Smile Smart Dental Assisting School for her education. She loves working with such amazing people at Tindal Prosthodontics, as well as being able to help others every day through her position!
Marias family is a little crazy, but they are always there for her when she needs them most. IN her free time, she enjoys going on walks with her dog and hanging out with friends. An interesting fact about her: she actually lived in Columbia for four years.
Although Martina is relatively new to our team, she has an impressive 20+ years of experience in the dental field. She studied at Front Range Community College for Dental Assisting, which is where she earned her Expanded Duty Dental Assistant certification. When asked about her favorite aspects of her job, she shared that its getting to meet new people and helping each patient have the best possible experience.

Dr Tindal and his team are wonderful! Excellent work and very kind and compassionate. My tooth broke days before a vacation. They came to my rescue. Fit me in and took such good care of me. Amazing service. Had a great time meeting my new grandson without having to worry about my teeth. Couldn't ask for anything more than that. Thank you Karen Metzler

I write today as a former (and long-time) dental phobic to acknowledge and applaud a health care provider who really puts the word CARE back into his art. Dr. Ben Tindal, prosthodontist, is exactly what a dentist could be, raising the bar to a new standard of excellence. He is a top-notch practitioner and a perfectionist, treating each patient with utmost respect, talent, and kindness. He always goes the extra mile to provide the most comfort and repair that the situation demands - and so does his staff. Each member of the team is clearly chosen for similar levels of expertise and personal connectivity. His dental hygienist, Katie, is so gentle and careful I once fell asleep while having my teeth cleaned! The office is immaculately clean; one is greeted each time as if you were known for years. And for me that is true, as I have followed Dr. Tindal for over 10 years. I now drive almost an hour to have him oversee the health and safety of my mouth. Some years ago, Dr. Tindal discovered some small growths under my tongue. He suggested I be examined for Sjogren's. Several biopsies and oral surgeries later, the rheumatologist said that there were not enough cells to secure such a diagnosis. Dr. Tindal quietly stood by me, and the diagnosis, as I scoured the medical arena in the Sarasota area for more than five years. Finally, a highly trained rheumatologist diagnosed me with Sjogren's and Rheumatoid Arthritis. Extra dental treatments and medications have now stabilized those conditions. These are hard times during COVID, for everyone and for those of us who are elderly and have complicated sensitivities and autoimmune diseases, there are many twists and turns to negotiate. I never hesitate to make my dental appointment - I used to faint on the telephone when I had to do that. I am grateful for specialists such as Dr. Tindal who is not only good to his employees but also gives back to his community doing work for those who live on the edge of poverty and danger. He surely represents hope for the future of this tired earth.

In the office they force you to do unnecessary evaluations, tests, scanning, photos x-rays and as usual in this office practice they are also sending you to so call " specialists " for additional work and evaluations and charges are seldom under $1,000. In my case for my broken tooth they put a charge $6,000 for their part and additionally send me to the orthodontist to do the implant that probably will cost over $3,000. I restore the tooth for $1,700 in another dental office. In another case I had a gum inflammation and Dr. Tindal sent me to his friend periodontist and they recommended Lanap laser surgery for $9,329 that was absolutely unnecessary as I get second opinion. In two months by carefully brushing and using water pick my gum come to norm and all inflammation gone without any laser surgery. In my opinion the goal #1 in office of Dr. Tindal is to clean your pocket and goal #2 to solve your dental problem. My recommendation to the future and existing patience try different doctors and compare options - you can save thousands of dollars.

Of course Katie is amazing as ever! Can not leave out the entire staff at Dr Tindals office as they feel like family, warm, inviting and certainly takes away any stress you may have from teeth cleaning, or teeth procedures that have to be done! I have never enjoyed teeth cleaning or procedures done with dental until I Found Dr. Tindal, Katie and Staff! 100% the best!!!!!

The entire team is kind, efficient, respectful and knowledgeable. Great location and nice clinic. I liked that Dr. Tindal looked at the whole picture as this was important in solving my TMJ related issues and jaw pain. I wanted to be heard, receive advice, treatment and results. And not a prescription. Well done!

I am blown away by the patient care. I had a chipped tooth that I wanted fixed ASAP. They made sure to squeeze me in a few days later. The office staff was very welcoming and attentive. They asked me several times if I wanted coffee or water. I was seen right away and the whole procedure took no more than 20 minutes. Most importantly, I was so impressed by Dr. Tindal's work. He did an amazing job. He was so thorough and made sure my tooth looked more than perfect. I'm very pleased with the whole experience. I highly recommend Dr. Tindal.

I went to three different dentists regarding an eight tooth bridge, lower partial and full upper denture. The work to be done was quite extensive. None of those dentists felt they were capable and all referred me to Doctor Tindal. He was up to the task and I am pleased to say that I never doubted him. I can now speak, eat and smile with confidence. His staff and assistants are very patient and professional. All in all, it was a pleasurable experience.

I was very stressed having been given a dismal prognosis from the dental school. However Doctor Tinsdale has given me some hope and has reassured me we are in Modern technology now. Things aren't what they used to be. Looking forward to continuing with this doctor for the next stage. Extremely nice young staff. So glad I went there.

I have been a patient of Tindal Prosthodontics for several years and would highly recommend them to anyone seeking expert dental services. Dr. Tindal created a smile that has raised my self esteem and enabled me to enjoy most any foods. I have implant supported dentures that function far better than my former teeth. He is a perfectionist who is also warm, outgoing and very compassionate. He and his office staff welcome you, and make you feel almost like family. The staff will do their best to get you into the schedule if needed. I don't think I have waited more than 5 minutes after arrival. I would HIGHLY recommend Tindal Prosthodontics to my family, friends or anyone.
