Dr. Linh Luu was born and raised in Midland, Texas. After high school she decided to begin her undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin and received a Bachelor in Business Administration in Finance. She then went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston. Dr. Luu completed a General Practice Residency in dentistry at St. Lukes Hospital and Health Network in Bethlehem, PA. Dr. Luu received advanced training in general dentistry, working closely with dental specialists and treating complex cases from start to finish.
Dr. Luus passion for working with children developed early in life, which led her into a career in dental pediatrics. She completed her pediatric dentistry residency at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, NY, during which she received extensive training in hospital and clinical pediatric dentistry.
She is an expert in dental prevention, craniofacial growth and development, pediatric oral trauma, medically complex patients, pediatric oral pathology, pediatric genetics that effect the head and neck, childhood growth and development, childhood and adolescent trauma, dental development, restorative procedures and behavior management.
Dr. Luu works closely with MD Anderson to treat very sick children and restore them to optimal dental health. She is on staff at Memorial Hermann Childrens hospital in the Texas Medical Center, providing full mouth rehabilitation for anxious and sick children in the operating room. Our young patients come from all over the world for Dr. Luus expertise and individual care.
Dr. Luu is also an active member the of UTHealth Luminaries, a volunteer leadership group committed to fostering the growth and development of UTHealth. Organizations supported by the Luminaries include UTHealth Childrens Learning InstituteTexas School Readyprogram and Pediatric Brain Cancer research.
Dr. Luu is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and the Greater Houston Dental Society. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, outdoor activities, shopping, painting, traveling, and anything that has to do with culture and the arts!

Of course my kids were feeling kind of nervous to be at a new dentist office, but felt at ease within their clinic with the help of Dr. Johnson and staff. All employees had great communication during our visits, which is much appreciated. Plus, I'm very thankful they were able to schedule both of my kids on the same day back to back.

I want to thank Tara Johnson and Crystal for doing such a great job today with my daughter. My daughter was already traumatized from her last experience at another dentist office and let me just say even though we started rough after a couple minutes they were able to get my daughter under control and preform everything that needed to be done. Way more work than the last time and thanks to their patience and professionalism they were able to complete all tasks and maintain my daughter calm and collective!! My wife was with her and i was at work and they maintained a great line of communication between all of us which was amazing! We highly recommened this Dentistry and are very grateful for not putting my daughter through another episode like the other place. Thanks again and great job!!!

All three of my children went here for the first time today. I am very pleased with the way the staff and the dentist made us feel. They answered every question I had. The experience here was amazing! Very clean and amazing staff! I was hesitant changing dentist because they have had the same dentist since they were a baby but I am so glad we did! Mrs. Johnson was so sweet and informative.

My Daughter was referred to them due to needing small caps we had to reschedule several times because of hectic schedules but the staff was more than accommodating they kept in touch until we were able to come in and even though it was our first visit they had us walking out knowing what our next steps were! We got her in for treatment and Mrs Johnson did a wonderful job she was in an out within an hr with little to no pain my child doesn't even remember what happened so for this momma that was a pleasant surprise she was back to herself within hours! I highly recommend this Dentist and her staff I will be switching my oldest daughters dentist because they went above and beyond to make not just my child happy but us parents as well!

From a traumatic experience to my toddler at a previous dentist, to my five year old not crying from the door, this was truly the perfect dentist experience with Dr. Johnson. I wouldn't recommend anyone else but this office, good vibes from the front desk to the dentist chair, how amazing!

This place is amazing!! This was my daughter's first time to go to a dentist, I was nervous for her beacause of my own past history with other dentist. But they were kind gentle and so sweet! They showed my daughter everything they were going to do and made it fun, they even let her try it herself. They were very informative, they explained everything to me even while trying to keep my 4 year old entertained. If you're looking for a dentist for you child stop looking and come here, I know this will be my daughter's dentist from now on.

I dreaded my daughter's first dentist visit due to her having special needs. However, this office did an amazing job at keeping me well informed throughout the whole process. The staff also did an incredible job at keeping my daughter calm and happy!

I found Greater Houston Pediatric Dentistry on Google. When I called to schedule an appointment for both my children the staff was very accommodating and they were able to get them scheduled right away. Dr. Johnson was great with my children and had outstanding bedside manners. When my son had his dental work done she and her staff were so sweet and caring. I would highly recommend seeing Dr. Johnson and staff.

We were referred to this office due to my 4 year old needing a baby root canal and crown. The staff was so accommodating. She took the time to explain everything to me throughly and calm my nerves. I appreciate this being my first child that needed dental work. They were super sweet and great with my son. Kept him calm and relaxed. Couldn't of asked for a better experience dealing with something we all don't want to have to do. Will definitely recommend them to family and friends.

Dr Bui acted exasperated/frustrated with our child's anxiety (which we clearly informed office of before visit) and staff member made inappropriate comments about source of our child's fear. Consequently, our child left not only w/ a heightened fear of the dentist but feeling ashamed.

Dr Bui acted exasperated/frustrated with our child's anxiety (which we clearly informed office of before visit) and staff member made inappropriate comments about source of our child's fear. Consequently, our child left not only w/ a heightened fear of the dentist but feeling ashamed.

Dr Bui and her staff were the 3rd dentist we have tried and everything about this experience exceeded my expectations. We were visiting with my 3 year old son. Every single person we met from the person who made our appointment, to the dentist herself was wonderful and kind. I saw a previous review elsewhere that said that they didn't allow you into the back but no one ever even hinted at that. In fact, they welcomed me back. My son has a small mouth and an easy gag reflex and the first dentist we tried was unable to even get xrays, so we were dreading it this time too. BUT Dr. Bui's staff made him laugh and made him comfortable and just as importantly, they were crazy quick and efficient and they were able to do everything they needed to do quickly and painlessly. I was so impressed and relieved. They gave him silly sunglasses and a TV show to watch, but that didn't mean they didn't include him in his own care. They took the time to make sure he understood every single thing that was happening before sticking anything into his mouth. They give the tools silly names and sometimes even let him touch it first (like the water vacuum on his hand first). At the end they gave him a Go Diego Go toothbrush and a sticker and he was thrilled. I highly recommend Dr Bui's office!
