STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRACTICE! I went in for a diagnosed root canal. Dr. Keng (spelling?) saw me and spent about an hour attempting to reach my root. She then said she had another appointment and I would have to come back. On leaving I was told my financial portion of the visit, based on my insurance, would be $50 - which I paid. On my return visit she said that she now noticed a crack in my tooth and would not be able to proceed. She "patched up the hole she left in my jaw and suggested I go elsewhere for treatment. Then the insurance company charged me with the whole amount because it was an "incomplete" endodontic procedure. I called the office to complain but they blamed it on the insurance company, even though Dr. Keng examined me and had me in her chair for more than an hour the first visit. I'm on the hook for more than $200 because of her.

Dr Lin performed a root canal on my daughter and closed it with a temporary material. Right before she was to go to the dentist to have a permanent filling put in. Dr Lin's office called and wanted to see her again. Apparently he failed to get all the root out! His excuse was that he "thoroughly" goes back over the xrays at a later time and realized he missed part of the root. It apparently took him more than 2 weeks to do that. He also couldn't fix it immediately because his schedule was "full". So now my daughter goes more than 6 weeks with this temporary material in her tooth. Then she gets a crown lengthening procedure and a permanent crown at a cost of more tha $1700 with dental insurance coverage. Fast forward 6 months she has an infection in the bone under the crown probably caused by the temporary material being in too long ( our family doc said three to four weeks was the max that material should be used because of the risk of infection) Now she needs to have the tooth pulled, packed with cadaver bone, the have an implant and and a fixed crown. Estimated cost about $4,000. I wouldn't go back to Dr Lin if he was the only endodontist left.

I'm in the middle of a extremely painful emergency. I'm insured and was told I would have to pay the $220 balance for the out of pocket if I want treatment. I don't have it and offered $50 as down payment. I WAS REFUSED TREATMENT and told my appointment is cancelled. It amazed me that they already knew what treatment I need and was able to predict exactly how much out of pocket expenses would be. My insurance covers 80% on something's and 100% on other things. This doctor has completely forgotten his responsibility for his profession. He's dropped this ethos for patient care and money is clearly more important. It's morally wrong. My grandfather was a doctor and NEVER refused treatment if someone couldn't pay up front.
