Southern manners , a smiling face, that Alabama drawl, along with thirty-plus years experience in Sarasota, give Timothy G. Herring, D.M.D. a unique perspective. Dr. Herring graduated from The University of Alabama School of Dentistry immediately joining his mentor and friend, the late Dr. Kenneth Cooper (who came to Sarasota in 1959). Between the two of us, we have been at the same location on the corner of Floyd and Osprey since 1975. Dr. Herring continues to see many of the patients who started out with Dr. Cooper. I have practiced dentistry long enough to know what works and what doesnt. With a conservative approach to restoring mouths, we can actually help our patients fulfill their dental expectations.
Dr. Herring is a Pankey/Dawson trained dentist which means he strives to evaluate the entire mouth giving optimal care to each patient. Commitment to continuing education is a must in the ever changing world of dentistry. Dr. Herring has been awarded Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in recognition of those continuing education goals. He has also recently been recognized by his peers as a Top Dentist in Sarasota since 2011.
