Dr. Timothy Bennetthas been practicing dentistry in Castro Valley for more than twenty years. He has experience in all aspects of family and cosmetic dentistry. Since continuing education is the key to staying current with exciting new dental techniques, Dr. Bennett enjoys taking many courses in all phases of dentistry to help him stay abreast of new procedures. He uses all this knowledge to the fullest extent in his dental practice.
Dr. Bennett was raised in San Rafael, California. He achieved the honor of being an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America and served as a Counselor, Director and Commissioner at the Marin Sierra Boy Scout Camp. He earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of California in Biology. He also had the opportunity to study in Sweden for several years through the Education Abroad Program before finishing his degree at UC. Dr. Bennett then went on to Dental School at the University of the Pacific and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 1982. Dr. Bennett is a memberof the American Dental Society, the California Dental Society and the Southern Alameda County Dental Society. Also, he belongs to the Academy of General Dentistry and the Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry.
Dr. Bennett has an interesting hobbyof broad pen lettering and was the calligrapher for the popular publication 'A Traveler 's Map Guide to San Francisco'. This map was published in English, German, French and Spanish and is displayed in his office. Other interests outside of his dental practice include hiking, tennis and golf.
Dr. Bennett established his current dental office on Castro Valley Boulevard in 1988. The office has been remodeled into a peaceful tropical theme, exemplifying his love of travel to exotic places. Dr. Bennett always has a smile and warm caring way about himself which extends over to all his patients that walk through his door. He enjoys his work in dentistry and it shows in all the beautiful smiles he has helped his patients achieve.
Maryis one of our office managers here at Dr. Bennett's office. She grew up in Walnut Creek, CA and resides there with her husband and two sons. Mary started working with Dr. Bennett in 1991 and left in 1998 to start raising her family. She returned in June of 2006 as an Assistant to the Office Manager.
Mary enjoys attending dental continuing education seminars and sharing this information with the patient to enhance their overall health. She also enjoys the opportunity to become better acquainted with our patients and helping them receive the best dental care possible. Her Spanish training has come in handy as well multiple times.
Some of her favorite things to do in her spare time is enjoy the outdoors with her family and friends. Yosemite and Lake Tahoe are two of her favorite places for these activities. She also enjoys her book club and finding out what our patients are reading.
Galinais Dr. Bennett's friendly Dental Assistant. As a little girl, Galina grew up inthe Ukraine, which was part ofthe formerSoviet Union. In 1995, she moved with her family to the U.S. She lives in Castro Valley with her husband.She also has two grown children and grandkids.
Galina started to work as a Dental Chairside Assistant in 2002 when she received her RDA license. She previously worked in San Francisco for a Russian dentist and can speak Ukrainian and Russian fluently. She loves to help all of her Ukrainian and Russianfriends be part of our practice here at Dr. Bennett's office.
Galina is very involved with her family and she has three children, two were born in the Ukraine and her youngest was born here in the U.S. Her hobbies are camping, reading and traveling to see her loved ones. Some of the places in her travels have included, Poland, Romania, Moscow, Mexico (on a cruise!)and Hawaii. She also is very involved with her Russian Church and teaches Sunday School classes to children. She always enjoys making new friends and meeting new people.Galinaenjoys taking classes and learning new things to improve her dental skills.
Nancyis our dental hygienist on Thursday's. She graduated from Miami-Dade Dental College in June of 1979 with a degree in Dental Hygiene. She has been licensed in Florida, Texas, and currently in California.
Nancy's outdoor interests include; gardening, walking, biking, and swimming. She enjoys traveling in the U.S. and Europe. She has met a lot of interesting people throughout her dental career and her greatest reward is in playing a part in assisting patients in their personal dental education and preventative needs.
