Our recently renovated and updated office was established more than 40 years ago. We have been serving the community of Lutherville-Timonium with the utmost professionalism and dedication for so long that some of our patients now bring their grandchildren for our dental team to take care of. In December 2015 Dr. Elkhatib acquired the practice and have been updating it since then culminating in the full renovation we did in April of 2018. The office new look was described by our patients as 'soothing', 'calming', 'high-end' and 'classy'.
Here are some of the previous owner words to our wonderful patients in December 2015 about the change of ownership of the practice.Over fortyyears ago, I began my practice in Timonium! Since I first established the office, I have enjoyed looking after the every need of my patients. I have been working for years to recruit a highly qualified and caring dentist to continue a tradition of excellent patient care who will work for the benefit of my patients. I am delighted to inform you that I have located a dentist who shares my enthusiasm and practice philosophy. I am delighted to inform you that the owner of Timonium Family Dentistry is Dr. Mohammad Elkhatib.
Experience compassionate care. Affectionately called 'Dr. Mo' by his staff and colleagues, Dr. Mohammad Elkhatib 's focus is on providing a comfortable dental experience for each and every patient. Dr. Mo is often described as compassionate, easily approachable, humorous and experienced. His mentor in dental school described him as 'a highly ethical dentist who always puts the patient first.' Dr. Mo provides quality dental care by utilizing the latest advancements in dentistry.
Dr. Mo was born and raised in Cairo, Egypt next to the ancient Giza Pyramids. His first dental school was Cairo University 's esteemed 'Kasr El Aini' School of Oral and Dental Medicine. He achieved his first Dental Degree; the Bachelor of Oral and Dental Medicine and Surgery from that famous school. He was known throughout his dental school years in Egypt for his charitable work. Upon moving to the U.S., Dr. Mo attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He graduated from the famous Ivy League school with a Doctorate in Dental Medicine Degree.
Dr. Mo is highly proficient in all aspects of general dentistry, including: fillings, bondings, crowns, bridges, root canal treatment, dentures and teeth extractions; including impacted wisdom teeth. He also offers surgical placement and restoration of dental implants. Dr. Mo is also a recognized lnvisalign Provider. Invisalign is the use of invisible aligners to correct malocclusion and teeth malposition, instead of using wires and braces.
Kasey Assistant Office Manager / treatment Planning Coordinator / Certified Dental Assistant -'I was born and raised in Maryland. I started working at Timonium Family Dentistry in the summer of 2016 first as an extern then as a dental assistant to Dr. Mo and now in the front desk.We are a very compatible team at the office and we all work well together to achieve the best results for our patients in a comfortable and caring atmosphere. On my off time I enjoy spending time with my two young children and family, and I also enjoy doing makeup and Hair, I actually almost went to Cosmetology school instead of dental assisting..!'

This was my first time being at the dentist in over a year and I was so nervous! When I called to make the appt I spoke to Sam and she was so courteous and made me feel like I have nothing to worry about. Sam checked my insurance and made sure everything would run smoothly and smoothly it went! When I got there Sam had my paperwork ready and was so kind and courteous and professional. She made me feel such at ease. Then I went back for x-rays and Kayla was gentle and nice and so caring. She had such a great disposition. I saw the hygienist Maddie and she never made me feel bad for taking so long to get to the dentist. She was so patient gentle nice and so kind. I'm telling you my teeth felt wonderful once she finished! She is amazing at her job! I met Doctor Mo. He was so nice and professional and he answered all my questions and never made me feel rushed. He has a wonderful bedside manner. I am a nurse so I know that is sometimes rare to find. He treated me like I was his lifelong patient and today was my first time! I can't wait to bring my whole family there ! What an amazing place!

I had my teeth cleaned today. Very clean, courteous and professional office. Extremely knowledgeable staff. I actually went to have a tooth pulled, but the doctor talked me into getting it repaired instead. I definitely recommend Timonium Family Dentistry!!!

I chose Timonium Dentistry because they accepted my dental insurance. I arrived for my appt on time and was seen right away. The office was clean and the front desk was welcoming. The hygienist was friendly and thorough. The dentist welcomed me as a new patient. He was professional and ready to answer any questions I might have. I would highly recommend Timonium Dentistry.

The staff at TFD are really lovely and helpful. They got me in relly soon and turnz uf I don't havd a cavity lol!! Buttt my teeth needed a good cleaning :). Maddie did a great job cleaning my teeth and Dr. Mo is really kind and honest. I am really impressed and excited to keep them as my new dentist. -Kristen

Our family has been going here for 10 years and the staff and dentist go out of their way to take great care of their patients and make everyone feel comfortable, especially children. Our son's favorite hygienist is Maddie. The reception area is comfortable and the overall office vibe is very clean and professional.

I Was reading the comment the lady writing she said she went there and pain and got assistance Immediately my cousin went there and she had to go back 4 time to get release of any pain is it the color of your skin or the money in your pocket

Very accommodating, knowledgable, friendly, and efficient. Had two wisdom teeth extracted with no issue. Needed a root canal that made me wonder why everyone is so afraid of root canals. The practice has seen me as well as two family members at very short notice (same/next day) for tooth pain. Upon arrival at the office for an appointment, I've never waited longer than five minutes to be seen. I didn't know a dental visit could be a positive experience until I switched to this practice two years ago.

I chose this place because my cousin got there for teeth cleanings. One of the few offices it seems that are open on Saturdays. I used to go to another office where they always told me if need floride. I am 62 yrs old and my excellent carefirst policy didn't cover floride for people my age. That other office would charge me 50$ for floride. So on my first visit to Timonium Family Dentistry I asked Dr Mo if I need floride and he said I don't since I don't have any cavities or sensitivity so the floride in my toothpaste is more than enough.. I trust this dentist...

I had gone to another dentist and I was left in a lot of pain. I called Timonium Family Dentistry after waiting too long. The dentist saw me right away. He took the time to discuss options with me. He treated me with genuine respect and understanding. The dental assistant was very kind and understanding, as well. They worked on my mouth immediately and I left without any pain. And even better my pain never returned. I returned 2 weeks later, as requested, they just wanted to make sure I healed up... which I did! If you are looking for a dentist that will take time with you, to listen and is genuinely understanding... this is it. If you have had a bad experience with a dentist and you need a staff that is kind and patient, again, this is the one. I would recommend them to my best friend. Thank you so much for the incredible care that I received.
