Dr. Thomas Salinas was born in Texas and studied biology at Austin College in Sherman, TX. He started working in his dentist's office in 1994.A love of travel and service led him to the U.S. Peace Corps in Cameroon, West Africa, for several years, but he knew he would train to be a dentist before joining the Peace Corps.

He brought this service-minded mentality to his time at the University of Texas Dental School, where he graduated with academic, clinical, and research honors. Next, Dr. Salinas increased his skills through the University of Florida's Advanced General Dentistry program in St. Petersburg. Continuing education is a large part of his professional life, and he has traveled extensively, seeking further knowledge.

One thing he enjoys about being a dentist is the challenge of diagnosis and treatment planning. He is exceptionally skilled in creating a set of solutions tailored to each patient, and he is delighted to see a case come together as planned.

Kalyn has been a dental assistant since 2012 and has been with Dr. Salinas since 2015. She is a cross-trained assistant, meaning she can help keep the front office running smoothly while still performing many treatment functions. She routinely takes x-rays, prepares instruments and equipment while making patients feel comfortable during all treatment phases. She is DANB (Dental Assisting National Board) certified.

Her favorite part of her patients' visits is making them smile and forget their worries. She strives to make everyone feel comfortable and safe in an environment that can be overwhelming or cause anxiety due to some past trauma. For Kalyn, the best feeling is having a patient tell her they enjoyed their experience and want to return because of the care she provided.

A dental assistant with Dr. Salinas since 2019, Breanna is enthusiastic about her role in dental procedures. She performs high-skill tasks such as taking impressions for dental restorations, making temporary crowns and bridges, and taking x-rays.

A native of Citrus County, Kellie has been Timberlane Family Dentistrys Dental Assistant/Front desk coordinator since 2014. She began in the dental field in 1993 and completed her certifications from the University of Florida.

As front desk coordinator, her face is usually the first you see to greet and assist you through your check-in experience. She is always ready to help patients with their dental needs, concerns, or questions on the phone or in person.

Kellie is also cross-trained to assist Dr.Salinaswith treatments where needed. One thing she loves about her job is working with a fantastic team. She also loves sharing the joy with patients after having a great dental visit.

Family is essential to Kellie, so at every opportunity, she loves spending time on the boat with her husband or at the beach with her grown children, family, and friends. To her, nothing is more relaxing!

Mia became a registered dental hygienist in 1993 and feels thankful to have treated patients at Timberlane Family Dentistry since 2010. As a hygienist, her duties revolve around conducting initial patient screenings, cleaning teeth (e.g., removing plaque/calculus), and advising patients on their oral health and preventative care. She also focuses on potential issues during a dental cleaning, which aids Dr. Salinas in treatment options for teeth or gum diseases.

She values making personal connections with patients over the years and enjoys celebrating improvements in their oral health. During any treatment, she works to make patients feel comfortable. She also practices periodontal therapy and fluoride treatments.

Mia enjoys spending time with her grown children, two sons, and a daughter, all on the cusp of adulthood. Pickleball is her favorite outdoor pastimeshe has made many friendships and plays any chance she can. She also loves spending time with her pets and often travels to see her mom and siblings.

As a graduate of Utah Valley University and Santa Fe Community College, Rosalies career in dental assisting dates back to 1969. She earned her license in 2000 and is considered a registered dental hygienist with a special license to administer local anesthesia. She also can perform x-rays, intraoral photos, periodontal therapy, and fluoride applications, to name just a few.

One of the things she values about working for Dr. Salinas is getting to know her patients and helping them overcome their fear of going to the dentist. She also enjoys educating patients about the proper care practices and products that might be good for their oral health.

Bridget is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and The College of Rhode Island in Lincoln. As a registered dental hygienist, she assists the dental team by conducting initial screenings, advising patients on their oral health, and performing teeth cleanings along with other treatments.

She has practiced hygiene at Timberlane since 2018 with a passion for helping patients feel comfortable and safe during their time spent with her. Her favorite thing is watching their walls come down. She finds it rewarding to witness a patient realize they're with a team that genuinely cares about their needs and gaining their trust. That connection is just the best for her, and she feels blessed to see this every day.

Bridget spends time with her loving, supportive husband and three beautiful fur babies when not at the dental office. She's also blessed to live only a mile from her parents and many incredible friends. She loves her home and adores living in Florida.

Jennifer describes her role at Timberlane Family Dentistry as all things insurance. She also helps handle the front desk, checking in and taking care of patients scheduling needs and billing concerns. So when you call, youre likely to hear Jennifers pleasant voice on the line.

With the team since 2017, Jennifers favorite thing working with Dr. Salinas is caring for patients needs beyond their treatments. She likes knowing that although she doesnt work directly on their teeth, she plays a vital role, helping in areas just as important.
