I love being an orthodontist! For almost 30 years, Ive been privileged to meet many wonderful people and get to know them on a personal level:building connections while helping them transform their lives.
Orthodontics is more than changing a persons smile. Properly aligned teeth are easier to keep clean, which decreases the likelihood of a person developing dental disease in the future. Additionally, orthodontic treatment improves a persons bite, which decreases the stress on their jaw and face/neck muscles and means better function.
Of course, those beautiful smiles are the most noticeable result of orthodontic care. Knowing ones smile looks great changes how a person feels about themselves, boosts their self-esteem, and gives them confidence!
My team and I love watching each patient transform during treatment. Seeing a person move from feeling self-conscious about their appearance to happily smiling and laughing with peers is why were here: We truly love what we do and are honored to help our friends and neighbors!
It is my responsibility to stay current on new options, to evaluateeach in order to determine which are right for my patients. Continuing orthodontic education is the best way for me to keep abreast of whats happening in my field. By taking courses throughout the year, I learn from the leaders in the specialty.
Im an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Facial Harmony, and the Pitts Masters Group. These organizations offer access to the latest knowledge and research, and ensureIm able to provide each patient with the best care approach to their unique needs.
I was born in Ogden, grew up in River Heights, and have called Logan my home for more than 25 years. My wife Kolette and I have five children, four children-in-law, and seven wonderful grandkids. I love my family, especially the grandkids, and spend as much time with them as I can. I also love to fly fish, hunt, golf, and travel.

I love working in a positive, welcoming office and gaining new friends as we help patients develop the great smiles they deserve! My orthodontic experience started right herein 2011. I believe we have the best team and love that Dr. Belnap really cares about each patient as a person. I handle a range of office processes, from practice financials to financial contracts with patients. Im also in charge of coordinating treatment, scheduling, and whatever else is needed.
Ive been married for more than 25years and have three children and a daughter in in lawas well as a Beagle, Lily. Were an active family that enjoys being outdoors, on the baseball or a softball field.I love vacationing with my family, too, making great memories and enjoying time together.
I really like interacting with and getting to know each patient during treatment. Its rewarding to see the confidence each person gains as they achieve a great smile and to play a role in making the smiles happen. I started in the field in 2006, joined Belnap Orthodontics in 2013, and have a dental assisting certificate and an orthodontic assisting certificate. I provide patient care, seat and prepare patients for treatments, and work chairside assisting Dr. Belnap.
When we know our teeth are straight and healthy, were more secure in our appearance. Our self-esteem strengthens and with it our confidence. By the time patients finish their orthodontic treatment, they have a beautifully healthy smile they love, and cant wait to share it with the world.

My invisible braces experience has been great! Shout-out to the receptionist team and the hygienists! Dr. Belnap is great and has a lot of experience. I prefer the Logan office, but there is also a Smithfield location for those up north

I had braces when I was young, but over time I had a couple teeth shift so I wanted to get Invisalign to fix the minor adjustments. My treatment plan for Invisalign trays was supposed to be 8 months and it ended up being 14 months. Nearly every week, buttons were falling off so it was a struggle to have rubber bands in for consistent periods of time. When I finally got them off, I was left with a slight gap in between my two front teeth, so my process wasn't the smoothest. The office is filled with great kind people, and I really enjoyed my time from that aspect. Regarding the teeth treatment though, I would say it didn't reach my expectations and am left with a little disappointment. I went with the Invisalign route and it sounded like I was one of the first ones so that could be why, but I would advise to get the traditional braces at this office. Pictures: The first picture with the front gap was taken on the last day of treatment. The second picture is what it currently looks like now after trying to get the gap filled.

Dr. Belnap and his staff are some of the best people I've met in orthodontics. They have incredible energy in the office, making for a fun visit, and the staff are trustworthy and kind! Dr. Belnap is especially exceptional when it comes to addressing any questions and concerns you may have! I would recommend Belnap orthodontics to anyone

Dr. Belnap and his staff have been so kind to us. They have really gone the extra mile to help my kids feel comfortable with their braces and with follow up care after their braces have been removed. They are very knowledgeable and are always ready to answer questions. I would highly recommend Dr. Belnap's practice to any of my friends and family.

They are very friendly and the good thing about it is that if you don't have insurance it's OK they will help you set up a payment plan. Also They are very quick and fast at their job

My braces as an adult from him were the worst experience I could've imagined. I've had professionals ask me about my braces and say negative things like your teeth aren't even straight and you need to tell Tim to get it together. My gums were inflamed. My mouth hurt. I stopped going awhile because I had them on five years and had no hope. I felt discouraged and dreaded going. I had springs on that were like permanent elastics without having a fixed bite. I had broken brackets and cuts and bleeding from my mouth being so swelled. When I requested MY RECORDS I was denied and told no. I moved to someone else and needed them without ever getting them. I cried because my experience was so bad multiple times and hated it. I go to someone new that plenty of people go to after seeing Dr. Belnap because he doesn't get the job done. Shawna is amazing! The front desk women appear to be nice but argued and denied me access to my records wrongfully. There is no excuse for any of this behavior or any response given that can make up for what this office has done. I would never recommend anyone going here and people who think they've had a good time probably have crooked teeth and could get better smiles elsewhere. I'm close to my braces being off but it's been a long 6 years.
