Jodee McGowan has been with us since 2005 and Wendy Cisneros since 2019. They keep our office running smoothly and will greet you at the front desk with a smile. Both have extensive experience with billing and dealing with dental insurance companies.
Our highly skilled Oral Hygienists: Kirsten Malcom RDH, has been with us since 2011, Amy Lindsey RDH, since 2019 and Danielle Gardner RDH, who also grew up in Tillamook, since 2015. Their first priority is to listen and understand your needs and concerns, while making you feel relaxed and comfortable at every visit. They work with Dr. Opdahl to provide you the best care possible specific to your individual needs.
Our exceptional Dental Assistants, all native to Tillamook: Magan Rawe EFDA, has been with us since 2004, Lisa Hayden EFDA, since 2019, Carol Averill EFDA, since 1997, and Tanya Lea CDA, EFDA, since 2000. While assisting Dr. Opdahl, they also contribute to our friendly atmosphere and assure our accomodations are comfortable and our service exceptional. They, along with all the staff here, hope to serve you and your family for generations to come.

My husband had a broken tooth. Very painfull. We called the office and they got him in that day. Everyone was very nice. The dentist was great. I recommend them. We are just traveling by so was nice to get help quick. Good job!

The Dentist was very smiley, kind, and confident, and the Dental assistants were also very kind. The receptionist's are extremely unprofessional and rude.. over the phone and in person. But the real problem I had was choosing this Dr. Opdahl (Who has the best reviews in Tillamook, Oregon and NO payment plan options) to help me with my tooth infection. Dr. Opdahl performed a Root Canal on me and completely botched it, causing me extreme pain and infection - so they gave me a referral for an Endodontist (they specialize in Root Canals) to fix his mistake! No responsibility, accountability, or even care for his customer and his practice. Additionally they charged me Full Price (roughly $2300) immediately after the procedure. I wasn't healing and it got worse, I had to quit my job. He kept prescribing me different antibiotics which gave me such a HORRIBLE allergic reaction that I had to go into the ER. But before I went to the ER, I called his office - he was out so I explained to his receptionist what was going on with me and that I had to go to the ER for an allergic reaction to their medication (I am not allergic to anything, never have been) to get advice or information on what was possibly going on with me in this life threatening situation and she straight up told me I can come in and pick up another prescription for the same Antibiotic that I was having an allergic reaction to, she didn't even call or reach out to the Dentist - immediately responded with" we have more of that poisonous antibiotic for you if you would like to come pick it up? I honestly got the impression she thought I was a junkie calling for more pain meds, completely ignored what I was saying, and decided to offer me more of the same medication that sent me to the ER. It's a mess, my quality of life is diminished to the point I cannot work a full time job for the past 9 months (I'm 33, I went from healthy with a tooth infection to dysfunctional, I live in extreme pain and have been traumatized by the experience I had here, and the horrible treatment, unprofessionalism, lack of accountability, and giving out all sorts of antibiotics like candy and destroying my body chemistry. Now I am allergic to almost all antibiotics and have PTSD and distrust in Dentist's Doctor's, and their reception. I'm truly shocked. The reason it took me so long to actuallysit down and write this review to tell the truth is because the Dentist was just soo nice and kind, I didn't want to be rude. It's that bad. I feel used, manipulated, financially and physically stripped to nothing. And the whole time they were all smiles, it makes me sick.

I had to be seen for an emergency (to me) and was scheduled within a day. Very kind staff, very personable dentist. I would 10/10 recommend. Dr. Opdahl has an incredible bedside manner that eases you almost instantly. Thanks guys!!

I have a lot of anxiety and a strong gag reflex, so I always dread going to the dentist. I'm in my 40s and I've never been able to make it through the x-ray process. That is until my first visit here. They were so kind and professional and helped me make it through with no problems. That's never happened before at any other place I've been. I highly recommend Tillamook Bay Dental.

The staff is amazing, kind and reassuring. The dentist, Chris, is so calm and thorough, any anxiety is gone almost immediately! Would recommend him to anyone who has any anxiety about dentists.
