I've been going here for 7 years, finally transitioned out and got my first real cleaning, the pain I just went through made me wish I would have paid out of pocket and got real cleanings for the past 7 years instead of whatever polishing method the tignor dental clinic does. Also, I've had a tooth in pain for the last year, they couldn't tell me what was wrong or find an issue. So they said my gums were receding and it was normal from brushing... the civilian doctor found my crown was coming off in .0005 seconds and stated... "if I was blind I could have seen this".

Smh, I'll be back in 2 months or so to leave a written review Bad service, unprofessional. The doctors will MESS you up! Might as well go to a cave and start shaping your teeth with Stones, you'll have better luck. Really everytime I've been there I've always had my teeth either chipped, or my gums cut, or the fillings are completely wrong, or something else going on. I wouldn't give such a bad review if I ever had a good experience there.

I don't know what people get so I'm their feelings and 1 star places just to seem relevant. There are proper ways to file a complaint. I don't worry there, but I have never had any issues with the services I received, to include wait times.

Hygienist I had today was kind of rough with the picks and brushes. She gave me tips on caring for my receding gums, and was polite. Always a good visit here!

December 17th finally comes around I arrive at Dr. Maeso in Newport News for my appointment. I check in, and wait patiently to be seen. I get to the operating table where the dentist injects me with two shots to do the cavities. As he is doing the shots the receptionist comes in and says we don't have your paperwork from your dentist can you call them. As I call Tignor Dental Clinic around 0900 hours a civilian answers the phone I tell him I'm out at the dentist office and I can't leave because I'm on the operating table with my mouth numb can you all please fax the paper work he replies, "You are going to have to come and get it we don't have a fax machine." Loss for words and on speaker phone as the dentist heard all this he then grabs the phone and begins to plea with the civilian over the phone to please fax the paper work. After about a hour going back and forth he then tells me I did not speak with anyone for this appointment and I advised I talked to a E-6 point of contact, and he advises we havent had a staff sergeant at Tignor dental clinic for 6 years, which was completely irrevelant to the situation at hand. This cilivian made my experience a very traumatic one, and I advised I would be reporting him. The dentist gets the paperwork maybe a hour later, and indicates he may not have enough time to do everything. He also gets the paperwork and it doesn't say anywhere on there I need a teeth cleaning. So he just did the cavities and did not examine my gums or teeth, but he did advise that my teeth was jacked up and needed one. My experience was very stressful and unwanted. Also I went to get the status one of my soldiers dental records, as I was getting them my car key fob broke in their parking lot they advised I was trying to "scare" the workers their by leaving my car there for a week cause I couldn't afford to pay 300 dollars for a new one. They then filed a report on me saying they felt intimidated that my car was out there and even called the MPs on me cause my car was parked out there after hours. I could not afford to have a key fob made as I have many financial hardships with the military, and I just moved to VA. Listed below is pictures of my teeth and the receipt from the locksmith who came after Christmas to fix my car. I would never leave my car there especially around Christmas which I was pretty much stranded throughout the holidays. I do not think anyone would go to any means to scare anyone but I know Tignor will go to any means to try to humiliate me by filing a report and getting me flagged which is setting my military career back. I do not recommend anyone going here

Terrible scheduling and terrible customer service. Worst dental clinic I've ever used in 25 years of service. Better to pay out of pocket anywhere else.
