Dr. Ehlers was born and raised in Cole Camp, just a few miles from Tiger Family Dental. The area has always held a special place in Dr. Jon's heart and that made it an easy decision for him to return to the area and open Tiger Family Dental in the fall of 2016.
Dr. Jon then attended the University of Missouri Kansas City for his DDS degree. He graduated in 2010 in the top 25 percent of his class. Experience and versatility are important to Dr. Jon, so he completed a one-year internship in oral surgery and a prestigious dental implant residency. These skills allow Dr. Jon to provide many surgical procedures here at Tiger Family Dental.
Dr. Jon lives in Sedalia with his wife, Amanda and their 4 children; Kaylen (13), Calum (2), and the newest additions to the family, Gemma and Mara who were born in March 2022. Dr. Jon adores his children and spending time with them and Amanda. They also have 2 Corgis that have also become family favorites.
Dr. Jon enjoys all things sports, specifically, Mizzou Tigers, Kansas City Chiefs, and St. Louis Cardinals. Dr. Jon rarely misses a Mizzou or Kansas City Chief football game. Being active outdoors and spending time with family are also things that Dr. Jon loves to do.
The wonderful thing about dentistry is that I can improve someone's health and, at the same time, improve their self-esteem and their self-confidence. The true reward in this profession is knowing that you can really make a difference in someones life.

This is an excellent dental office I have so far had a great deal done and nothing hurt during any procedure Dr Erin Coleman is fantastic at what she does and cares about making sure it is done well everyone I have come in contact with in this office has been a pleasure to work with. They are very good at what they do and very concerned about making you feel comfortable my mother sees Dr Jon Elers and has nothing but good things to say about him. My appointment was for annual cleaning and it went well! No pain and very professional young lady. I came in for my annual cleaning. Received very good service with a competent young lady! Very happy with my appointment. Felt comfortable just like my friends were taking care of me. Competent people. Very happy with my appointment for cleaning today. Went well. Nice to catch up with friends.

11-02-2022: If I wrotr a book on kindness, everyone at TFD would be mentioned. Thank you all for providing the best oral care and the BEST lip balm in town! 04-20-2022: 10/10 always provides great care! Another trip to TFD today, time for my six month cleaning. I can't say enough great things about Dr. Jon and staff. An entire office of professional and friendly individuals. The smiles entering and leaving, let you know not only does everyone care about the patients, they care about one another too.

I highly recommend Tiger Dental. Customer service from Dr. Ehlers and all of the staff at Tiger Dental is absolutely outstanding! They are very knowledgeable and my treatment plan was thoroughly discussed with me so I knew upfront what insurance would cover so there was no surprises on procedures or cost. Great place for the whole family.

Absolutely the worst dentist I have ever been too! Went here because my wife had a good experience but I on the other hand had a terrible one. First off it took me a lot to even go there since I was embarrassed with the way my teeth were and at first everyone seemed nice and friendly. I was quoted a lot of money for what I needed but I was ready to go forward with having it done.....and this is where everything went south. I explained to Holly that I can come in on almost any day and or time EXCEPT Tuesdays or Thursdays only after 3:30pm because my wife has class...said this repeatedly. I assumed she scheduled me correctly since after all they are professionals....well not so much! I get a call to confirm my appointment and it's on a Tuesday at 12:30pm...lol...and come to find out she scheduled my other upcoming appointments wrong as well. I was told by the secretary to plan on coming in the next Monday and see a different hygienist and she would confirm with me Monday morning....didn't call me until Tuesday to say that wasn't possible. She says instead to come.in on Thursday at 12:30 pm....wth!!!! I was mad at this point and hung up. Two days later they call.to confirm my Thursday appointment that I can't make and at this point I all but gave up. Told them to cancel my appointments because they obviously don't listen nor care about others schedules. Never apologized nor tried to reschedule me so my wife said she would handle since I was still willing to give them a Chace. She goes in to her appointment and afterwards tried to schedule my appointments to only be told I was rude and they WOULDN'T give me service. I might of been upset on the phone but honestly Inhad the right to be....Well I highly don't recommend going here because they are far from friendly or understanding by any means!!!!

Tiger family dental were Friendly staff and a clean environment. I'm very happy I chose this dental office for my teeth cleaning. Haley was great and both she and dr ehlers did great work for me! Going to the dentist is always very scary and my anxiety went away almost instantly after meeting the staff. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
