She received her Bachelors degree in Biology at Virginia Commonwealth University and went on the complete her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at VCU as well. She spent part of her early career practicing overseas in New Zealand before returning. She opened Tidewater Dental Arts in 2018 after working as an associate for several other practices.
The procedures she enjoys most are those that relieve pain and discomfort, restore chewing ability, or increase a patients confidence. Aside from private practice, she also enjoys volunteer outreach at Crossover Ministry, a free clinic in Richmond, and various Mission of Mercy projects around the state.

I have a lot of anxiety when it comes to dentists because of past bad experiences but I had to make an appointment due to having an infection in my tooth, and I am so glad I chose to call Tidewater dental arts. The personnel at the desk were so sweet and accommodating to get me in same day to examine the infection and work around my pay day to get the teeth pulled. And the dentist and her assistant did not make me feel bad or embarrassed about the state of my teeth, and also explained to me all of my options so I could choose the best route for myself. I will definitely be a long time patient and recommend them. Thank you for calming my dentist fears!

Dr. Stelmach has an awesome team of professionals that are friendly and kind. They have an amazing ability to respond to all the needs of all the patients. I broke both of my front teeth at one point and she fit me in quickly fixed the teeth temporarily and made new crowns and put them in in record time! She has all the latest equipment and the talent to do the best work I have seen in ages! Anyone going to her business would receive the best care possible. I highly recommend Tidewater Dental Arts to anyone in need of a dentist or any dental work!!!

Great experience when I pulled off my crown with a piece of toffee! Expected to have to wait a week but Dr. Stelmach got me in that day and she and her staff were professional, efficient and yes witty and got me fixed and out in record time. I will continue to travel the 90 minutes one way it takes me to get to this marvelous practice.

After not being seen by a dentist for many years I had to finally submit before my teeth became a disaster.... I went to Tidewater Dental Arts under duress but what I found was completely different situation from what I had anticipated... The staff was reassuring and caring with their professionalism... I was put at ease almost immediately while in their care as they explained what work had to be done in order to regain good dental hygiene. I believe I am in good capable hands as one of their patients and I am looking forward to my next visit.. Thanks guys for taking care of me.

I was suffering from a really bad toothache . I didn't have a home dental physician. Turned out I needed a root canal . I was seen almost immediately, taken very well care of by all the nurses . They were so accommodating with every part of the process . They made sure I was comfortable and knowledgeable of all steps that took place . I highly recommend. My new home dentist.
