She has a passion for her job; not only does she want to be an office manager but, she wants to be an office leader, motivating and encouraging her team.
Trish - Dental HygienistTrish graduated in 1986 from Eastern Washington University and has been part of our team for over 20 years. She loves Thurston Oaks Dental because we offer friendly, personal service with cutting edge technology. In her free time she likes working out, cooking, gardening and going Alaska commercial fishing with her husband and boys.
Angi - Dental HygienistAngi obtained a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene in 1997 at Oregon Health & Science University. Angi has a passion for dentistry and truly loves to help every patient have a postive experience. She loves when negative memories of the dentist are overcome and patients feel safe and comfortable.
Angi and her husband, Cain have four very active children. The family enjoys spending time travelling, hiking compaing and any outdoor activity. Some of Angi 's other interests in her time off are homeschooling her children, home imporvements, decorating, and refinishing furniture. other family members include 2 German Sheppard 's and the cutest black and white polka dot cocker spaniel, 'Oreo'.
Fred - Dental HygienistFred Farmer grew up in Vancouver, WA and graduated from the Clark College Dental Hygiene program in 2016. He has been in the field of dentistry since 2010 and enjoys the variety, complexity, and person-to-person care that dentistry offers as a career.
Fred has been married to his high school sweetheart Heather for 15 years and has three wonderful children. In his free time he enjoys being physically active, backpacking, and most outdoor activities.
Shan-Ti - Registered Dental AssistantShan-Ti grew up in Eatonville, Wa. and graduated dental school from Clover Park Tech. Shan-Ti has been an assistant for over 20 years. Shan-Ti's goal is to provide the best treatment possible to all of her patients in the most caring and efficient way. She is always up for new challenges. Shan-Ti and her husband live in Camas, Wa. They have 5 children and 2 grandchildren. They love their farm animals and riding their quads. Shan-Ti also loves to bake for her family and friends.
Charlene - Registered Dental AssistantCharlene has been in the dental industry for over 21 years. She believes patient education and making each patient feel valued and heard. During her free time she she enjoys taking walks , listening to music , clothes thrifting and playing volleyball with her three daughters.
Kara - Hygiene Assistant/Sterile TechKara graduated from dental assisting school in 2018 and has been assisting for a year and a half . She was born and raised in Longview, Washington. In her free time she enjoys hanging out with her friends and family, traveling, sports and music.
Dr. Farmers passion for dentistry stems from his own struggles and self-consciousness about his own teeth when he was younger. Looking through old photographs is often a sad tale of no smiles. Modern dentistry changed his life and self-confidence. Giving that same gift of a beautiful new smile is what drives Dr. Farmer to obsess over the small details to strive for excellence.
Dr. Farmer believes in providing a pain free dental experience using gentle technique combined with nitrous oxide or oral sedation after carefully listening to his patients concerns. His passion is providing beautiful cosmetic dentistry using the latest techniques and materials. Dr. Farmer has been on the forefront of digital technology allowing the placement of hi-tech one day crowns saving his patients time and the inconvenience of temporary crowns. Had my first dental appointment in ages and they were wonderful and incredibly helpful. Had a comprehensive exam and cleaning done and the only (slightly) painful part was biting down in the wings to have xrays taken lol. I've never had so many compliments about my teeth before, it was genuinely a wonderful boost to my confidence as I'd be worried that they'd be in terrible shape from neglect.

I highly recommend going to Thurston Oaks. My family has been to Dr Snodgrass for almost 25 years and Dr Farmer as well. The hygiene staff is outstanding and they are all very focused on your comfort and sensitivity which I greatly appreciate. They have always clearly explained what is going on and why, and have been focused on preventative measures that have saved me money and the pain of a future dental problem. The new technology of 3D scanning and in-shop dental crown fabrication is amazing and fast. I look forward to another 25 years of going to them.

This is the best dental office I've ever been to. Fred is an amazing hygienist and Dr. Farmer is a great dentist. They are both very personable and make the experience enjoyable. I would recommend them to anyone!

I suffer from PTSD due to a very bad experience with a dentist. Therefore I have not been to another dentist for over 13 years, coming here today returned my hope for a brighter future just knowing I can SMILE again someday Without the fear of ugly unhealthy teeth. Jacob Farmer and his assistant Charlene, were the VERY BEST bar none!!! I will highly recommend them to everyone I know. It was the best experience I've had in many years!!! Everyone at Thurston Oaks has been amazing! From the friendly staff and hygienists to the very skilled Dr. Farmer, I have nothing but great things to say about them. My last dental experience at a different dental office was very frustrating and caused a severe amount of pain for a long time that I didn't have an ounce of before going into them for a regular check up. However, Dr. Farmer and all the lovely people at Thurston Oaks have corrected the source of what was causing me pain and I will be forever grateful for such a fantastic experience. I 100% recommend them to anyone looking for a knowledgeable dentistry that they can trust!

My husband had some dental work done in Mexico that needed follow up care. Dr. Farmer got him in the same day & was incredibly thorough with his exam and had a very pleasant demeanor. We paid out of pocket but got 5% no insurance discount on top of a 5% senior discount which made the exam affordable for us. We will definitely be going to Thurston Oaks for more follow up dental work!

Quality Care from my first call to my first cleaning. They handled the details up front, and exercised flexibility due to some medical issues, which are not normal practices but in my situation was necessary in the short term. Trish did an amazing job cleaning my teeth and I experienced no pain whatsoever in the process. I truly feel like I'm cared for as a patient.
