A native of Olympia, Dr. Sapp is very proud of his hometown roots. Upon graduating from Capital High School he attended the University of Washington where he received his degree in Economics. After a brief stint in the corporate world, he discovered his passion for dentistry and eventually enrolled at the prestigious University of Southern California School of Dentistry.
Dr. Sapps passion for dentistry stems from his gregarious personality and desire to help people. I enjoy getting to know my patients and providing them with excellent, personalized dental care in a comfortable and relaxed environment. Patients enjoy his approachable nature and soft touch.
Dr. Sapp is an avid learner and continually seeks ways to better his skills and the experience he provides his patients through continuing education courses and staying current on the most modern topics in dentistry.
He is currently a member of the Washington State Dental Society, Thurston-Mason County Dental Society, and on the executive board for Griffin School Foundation. In the past he has been a member of the Washington State Oral Health Boarddeveloping legislation to help advocate for better oral health for senior citizens and pregnant women as well as worked at a local reservation providing dental care to the underserved population of Mason County.

This was my first dental appointment since moving from Hawaii a month ago. I was experiencing tooth pain and walked into the office. Staff greeted us and scheduled an appointment for the following day. Again I received a warm greeting and was seated promptly. X-rays we're done revealing a broken tooth and an infection. The doctor said that it would have to be extracted soon and asked if I want to do today. Figuring that I might as well get it over with my jaw was numbed and the doctor pulled the tooth. The procedure was quick, painless and easy on me. The tooth broke leaving the roots behind which the doctor quickly removed. Now three hours later I'm doing well without too much pain. Overall I am very satisfied with this office. The staff and the dentist were very pleasant. I was greeted and treated with professionalism and respect. Everyone was very friendly and made me feel at home. I will recommend this practice to my family and friends. Thumbs up for a job well done. Thank you - Rick

I have been going to Dr Sapp, since he opened in 2014. He is a wonderful dentist. Dr Sapp' s staff are all friendly and kind. I especially love the newest dental hygienist, Shelly and his dental assistant, Kaylee. They are both very gentle and professional.

The entire appointment was handled very professionally. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. I have been a patient at Thurston Dental since 2014, the staff has always gone to extra efforts to accomplish the job. I had an appointment today and their outstanding and friendly service continues. I manage dental anxiety and I have grown out of most of this due to the consistent exceptual care from Dr. Sapp at Thurston Dental. From the moment you walk through the door, the front desk receptionist Danielle is extremely welcoming! Jenna was my dental assistant and helped me feel comfortable in a normally anxious setting for me. Dr. Sapp introduced himself and helped me understand my dental needs. Dr. Sapp took his time to listen and educate me regarding what procedures needed to be done. Dr. Sapp communicated with my previous dentist regarding a crown on an implant that had come loose. I feel confident in the care of Thurston Dental. Dr. Sapp listened to my concerns and created an environment where I felt comfortable and not judged. I was a little hesitant to go to the dentist because of COVID, but my experience there made me super comfortable. We trust Dr. Sapp with our dental health and care. His office staff are incredible! Extremely knowledgeable and answered all our questions.
