Born and raised in India, I topped my class and earned my first doctorate degree in dentistry (BDS) from the Govt. Dental College and Hospital, Gujarat state in 1997. A state where Mahatma Gandhi was born, a state where people are known for being peaceful, caring, and food lovers! Advancing my education in the United States, I went to the prestigious Ivy League Dental school, the University of Pennsylvania, to earn my second doctorate degree in dentistry (DMD) and graduated in the top 10% of myclass.
Youll always find me digging for learning more and more. I've taken more than 1000+ hrs. of continuing education courses since my graduation from Dental School. The latest one was from a 2.5 year long Dental Implant Fellowship course from University of Maryland. I'm currently enrolled in Clinical Mastery series of courses to continue to learn the latest advancements in the function and cosmetics in dentistry. I belong to national, state, and local dental organizations and study clubs. I also volunteer and feel joyful when I go on dental mission trips to help others in need. In our small ways, we help our local community as well.
Outside dentistry, I love spending time with my son, daughter, and husband. We have a black Labrador who thinks that his lifes purpose is to protect us. He likes to take me on a walk sometimes. Although our friends and family always complain that Im too busy, I enjoy spending time with them especially if they are cooking for me!
I enjoy cooking, reading, watching movies, and listening to inspiring podcasts and music. Before I started practicing my artistic skills in my patients mouths, I was good at painting, knitting, embroidering, and sculpting. Im a big fan of Tony Robbins, Brandon Burchard,Oprah,and many others who are so amazing at motivating others to do better! I tryto exercise regularly and understand the importance ofbeinghealthy.

I love the staff at Thurmont Smiles. Dr. Oza is so knowledgeable and kind. I love her holistic approach to dental care. The staff is pleasant and fun to talk to. They make you feel welcome every visit & do an amazing job on cleaning's!

Carrie L...I have been going to Dr. Oza since she opened her practiced 9 years ago. I have received top notch dental care from Dr. Oza and her competent staff. My teeth are in the best shape ever. Dr. Oza is not afraid of technology, she is up on the newest dental procedures. I needed to have a crown replaced and because Dr. Oza invested in this new technology I was able to have my crown replaced in 3 hours from start to finish. No goopy mold stuff and no temporary cap(four weeks, at least) to worry about. I have never had a crown fit so well.....if you want the best dentist in town go to Dr. Oza.

Absolutely fantastic staff! Everyone was very pleasant and kind. The dental hygienist and the dentist were great! Very knowledgeable and they were so gentle with cleaning and exam that they totally changed my perception on visiting the dentist. I don't want too go anywhere else but Thurmont Smiles.

This was a great experience. The staff was wonderful, very gentle and provided extremely thorough care! They have what appears to be a very up-to-date facility and equipment. This was the nicest dental office I have been to. It was such a lovely surprise.

I have always been stressed and reluctant to have dental procedures due to past experiences' however this all changed from my first appointment with Thurmont Smiles. Dr. Oza and her staff are exceptional, professional, kind and polite. They make sure all your questions are answered, any/all your concerns have been addressed, and comfortable with the care they will provide. They always follow-up the day after a procedure to see how you are feeling. I am thankful for Dr. Oza and staff for helping me to achieve (a work in progress) for a healthy and bright smile. I highly recommend Thurmont Smiles for all ages!

I am so happy I found this dentist ! I recently moved to Maryland and couldn't be happier with the Dr. and staff. Everyone is so nice and they make you feel so comfortable in everything they do. The office is very nice with exceptional cleanliness and state of the art equipment.
