Dr. Arthur Thurm is one of the few general dentists in the country who is also a Certified Dental Anesthesiologist. For more than 35years, he has helped patients with dental phobias, special needs, and dementia receive the dental care they need while comfortably sedated. Other dentists in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware now send their difficult patients to Dr. Thurm for treatment.
Dr. Thurm earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1977. He completed a one-year general practice residency at the Philadelphia Veterans Administration Hospital in 1978, and then completed a one-year residency in Anesthesiology at the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. In 1980, Dr. Thurm became a Fellow of the America Dental Society of Anesthesiology. There are fewer than 250 general dentists in the country with this distinction. Dr. Thurm holds a permit from the State of New Jersey (#473) certifying his training and for two years, he taught dental and medical students how to administer anesthesia in operating rooms. In 2002, he became board-certified by the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology.
Dr. Thurm is a Diplomate with the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology and a member of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, American Dental Association, New Jersey Dental Association, and Southern New Jersey Dental Society. He has served the New Jersey, Delaware and Philadelphia communities from his dental office in Collingswood, NJ for more than three decades.

Dr. Shah is a well-educated, easy going, and compassionate general dentist committed to providing comprehensive dental care and creating long lasting relationships with patients. He focuses on treating patients with respect and takes extra time to understand their concerns, ensuring all of their dental needs are addressed.
Dr. Krunal Shah received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the School of Dental Medicine, State University of New York at Buffalo in 2019. He recently completed a general practice residency program at the Philadelphia Veterans Administration Medical Center, where he refined his skills in all areas of dentistry including restorative dentistry, oral surgery, root canal therapy and implant placement. After graduating from Drexel University in 2012, Dr. Shah used his Biology and Pathobiology training to coordinate Neurology research at Thomas Jefferson University and the University of Pennsylvania from 2012-2015. Dr. Shah has received numerous awards and honors during his career. He was born and raised in Long Island, New York where his family continues to reside.
Dr. Spencer Carl Saint-Cyr specializes in root canal treatment, which provides immediate relief from toothaches and saves the natural tooth. He graduated from the University of Pennyslvania School of Dental Medicine in 1997. He completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program at the University of Medicine and Dentistry in New Jersey in 1998. His post-graduate specialty residency in Endodontics was completed in 2000 at Nova Southeastern College of Dental Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Dr. Saint-Cyr maintains his own private practice in Endodontics in Cherry Hill, NJ. He is also a clinical assistant professor of Endodontics at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Saint-Cyr provides root canal therapy and other endodontic procedures to patients under general anesthesia and sedation at the Thurm Dental Group on an as-needed basis.
Carol joined Dr. Thurms team in 1981. She is the office manager and is responsible for processing insurance claims for patients, monitoring patients accounts, handling office procedural issues, and arranging for patient financing. Her warm heart and big smile instantly put people at ease.
Carol completed her dental hygiene training at Thomas Jefferson University and joined Dr. Thurms team in 1983. She is primarily responsible for dental hygiene and periodontal therapy, dental hygiene instruction, and dental hygiene scheduling. Carol became certified in Nitrous Oxide monitoring in 2005.
Chrissy has been in the dental field for more than 20 years as a receptionist and dental assistant. Chrissy joined Dr. Thurms team in 2009 and is the first person you usually talk to either on the phone or when you walk through the front door. Chrissy is very knowledgeable about dentistry and can answer most of the questions new patients have about our office and the services we provide.
Lisa competed her dental hygiene training at Camden County College and has been with Dr. Thurm since 1995. She is primarily responsible for dental hygiene and periodontal therapy, dental hygiene instruction, and dental hygiene scheduling. Lisa became certified in Nitrous Oxide monitoring in 2005.
Maria has been in the dental field for more than 20 years and has been with Dr. Thurm since 2000. Maria is a dental assistant who participates in all aspects of dental assisting and radiology, plus assists during general anesthesia cases. Maria is fluent in Spanish and is a valuable resource for our Spanish-speaking patients.
Terry Jackson earned his Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) certification from Reading Hospital Medical Center1in 1982 and has been employed by Pennyslvania Hospital in Philadelphia ever since.
In 1995, Terry became affiliated with the Thurm Dental Group and has been responsible for the observation, evaluation, and maintenance of patients placed under intravenous sedation and general anesthesia. Terrys extensive experience in out-patient office anesthesia has resulted in the safe and effective delivery for Dr. Thurms patients for more than 20 years.
