Dr. Sahar Fathi grew up in Toronto, Canada where she completed her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and Health Sciences at York University. From there she attended University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry and earned her DDS degree (2017). Since then she has been a practicing dentist in Michigan and joined Fortson Family Dentistry in September 2021.
Dr. Fathi is determined to provide positive dental experience for you and help reduce any dental anxiety. She loves being able to ensure comfortable and reassuring dentistry to her patients while skillfully transforming smiles and teaching about oral health care. Dr. Fathi provides a wide spectrum of dental services from routine restorative, root canal and surgical treatments to more complex procedures. She is a certified Invisalign provider and is trained in implant dentistry and botox/dermal filler injections. She is a member of American Academy of Facial Esthetics and a fellow of American Academy of Implant Prosthodontics.
When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Fathi enjoys traveling, hiking, weight training and watching basketball (NBA fan!). She has volunteered to provide dentistry to underserved communities and has been to Honduras on a mission trip providing care to kids and adults in need.

Well my son had to go in and have a good cleaning. They found quite a few cavities. They said they would be done in 4 visits. Very polite and nice.

We love thumbs up dental! And the fact that our 6yr old (who had fillings) said he likes the dentist is a major bonus. Thank you for making him beyond comfortable and not afraid of the dentist. Will recommend thumbs up dental to everyone of our friends.

The guy doctor that owns the buisness is really nice but he really messed up my teeth. last year I had him put in a crown. He forced the crown in my mouth and I kept telling him something was wrong with the crown and he ignored it and I said I don't think you finished the root canal and he said he did. Then the one crown fell off and they sent me to a specialist and he gave me new x-rays and he said my root canal isn't all the way done and that the tooth needs to be extracted and the other crown he did has an infected tooth underneath. He also did a bridge on the other side of my mouth which I think the tooth should've been taking out cause it was a half tooth. That tooth put me in horrible pain and I kept telling him that. He removed the cavity before the crown because I said I was in pain and it still hurts. I really hope that side doesn't break and on top I hope it doesn't need a root canal since I have a bridge. I tried going there and telling them this before I saw the specialist. I heard from other ppl their stories also. I wanted to share my story. I really hope this isn't happening to anyone else!

I have had to cleanings so far and this second one was great. The first cleaning popped a filling out. It happens. Great group.
