Dr. Sahar Fathi grew up in Toronto, Canada where she completed her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and Health Sciences at York University. From there she attended University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry and earned her DDS degree (2017). Since then she has been a practicing dentist in Michigan and joined Fortson Family Dentistry in September 2021.
Dr. Fathi is determined to provide positive dental experience for you and help reduce any dental anxiety. She loves being able to ensure comfortable and reassuring dentistry to her patients while skillfully transforming smiles and teaching about oral health care. Dr. Fathi provides a wide spectrum of dental services from routine restorative, root canal and surgical treatments to more complex procedures. She is a certified Invisalign provider and is trained in implant dentistry and botox/dermal filler injections. She is a member of American Academy of Facial Esthetics and a fellow of American Academy of Implant Prosthodontics.
When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Fathi enjoys traveling, hiking, weight training and watching basketball (NBA fan!). She has volunteered to provide dentistry to underserved communities and has been to Honduras on a mission trip providing care to kids and adults in need.

The dentist himself was rude and did not wait until I was numb before attempting to extract a tooth never talked about aftercare and felt very rushed the entire time

They great people. They are very Very thorough and they go over your plan of care with you and they try to make it as portable as possible work with your insurance company they are great people.

This review is actually from my father. He was seen by Dr. Piontowski this week and said that it was necessary to brag on the Dr. Piontowski and team. He felt well taken care of and at ease. Thank you from me as well. It puts our minds at ease when we are in Missouri and now know his dental health is in good hands.

Very nice experience with them today. Got me in quickly. The dentist and staff were very professional. Treated me fairly with their billing. The new lady dentist is a big improvement over the last couple they had here. Just ignore the older reviews. Those are based on a different staff.

Just kinda started going here but its nice and they do communicate through everything they do. I am a horror fan so the first thing that went through my mind walking down the hall and in to the room was the horror movies.

Don't bother going here. I am still dealing with severe gum pain after almost 3 weeks and 2 visits. I have been forced to eat soup because of the pain and they couldn't do anything for me. I had scaling and root planing done a little over a year ago, today they measured my pockets again and when I asked if it had gotten worse they couldn't tell me because they lost my old charts... I don't feel like I am listened too and the lady that does the billing isn't a nice person. Save your time and go to a different dentist office.
