Dr. Elizabeth Liz Thorson is a native of Kansas and graduated from Kansas State University. She obtained her DDS in 2009 from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry, where she was recognized for Excellence in Pediatric Dentistry.
With two years of additional training at Louisiana State University, Dr. Thorson gained advanced expertise in Pediatric Dentistry, which included leading-edge training in behavior guidance techniques, hospital dentistry, trauma, and prevention.
In her free time, Dr. Thorson loves being outdoors, where she enjoys activities like sand volleyball, golf and tennis. She is also thrilled to be in the Greater New Orleans area to take advantage of the incredible food and the numerous festivals and concerts!
Dr. Amanda Begue grew up in the mountains of Western North Carolina in Asheville. She graduated from UNC-Charlotte with a BA in Elementary Education and minor in visual and performing arts. In 2016, she graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill School of Dentistry with her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. While attending UNC, she traveled to Nepal to provide free dentistry to under served villages in the Himalayas. She was also awarded funding for research in the field of Prenatal Oral Health. Her advanced specialty training in the field of Pediatric Dentistry was completed in 2018 at Louisiana State University, where he Masters project focused on sedation guidelines in the pediatric dental profession. During her residency, she received advanced training in Trauma, Sedation, General Anesthesia, and Special Needs Patients.
She looks forward to always helping children feel good about themselves and their smiles in a kind, and gentle environment. She aims to treat every patient as her own by providing exceptional dental care and excellent communication with families.
In her spare time, Dr. Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband, children, extended family, and friends. She loves enjoying all that New Orleans and Louisiana have to offer such as boat rides, fishing, bike riding, painting, and eating at new restaurants.

The staff is prejudice and Dr Thorson support what they say and do...I waited four months for an appointment only to be kicked out at the appointment because the girl behind the desk said I cursed her out... which I didn't do...I should have...but this place is so prejudice!!!

I love this entire staff everyone is great! They have a smooth system going, I love the teamwork and atmosphere is amazing. Dr. Thorson's truly phenomenal. My son did not want to leave her. She had a little extra time & walk us outdoors! It warmed my heart. Thank you everyone! It was a great experience for my son from the moment we entered. <3

My kid is one of those who hates any type of clinic visit. He had two cavities that needed to be taken care of. He didn't even flinch!! The entire staff did wonderfully, and kept him distracted to where he didn't even notice the needle. Dr. Thorson is amazing!! Only thing, she tried dancing. Let's just say she's a way better dentist.

I drove from Houma to bring my 3 year old to see Dr. Amanda Begue for a second opinion! From the first visit I felt a sense of relief! She and her staff were so kind and caring! Our next visit was treatment which I was nervous about! I could never have asked for a better turnout. Everything went better than I could have asked for! They are experts when it comes to providing care for children! We will now take the drive to see her regularly! Highly recommend!

All 5 of my children go here and we have fast great service everytime! After trying serval different clinics my children feel comfortable here which is very important with one having anxiety about the dentist! Would recommend for anyone who has children we love it here

Yesterday, I brought my 2 year old to the dentist for the first time, we were both nervous! I can't say enough about the staff, they were all so sweet and patient with my anxious and scared little one! They went above and beyond to provide amazing care in addition to entertaining my little one's concerns! We will definitely continue to go here and I highly recommend them to others!

My son needed to have some teeth bonded while having orthodontic work done. Elizabeth Thorson made sure the teeth were perfect. Even the orthodontist said he's never seen such great work before. I highly recommend this dentist to anyone. They are fantastic!

Took all four of my boys there for the first time today. The entire staff is super friendly, and I loved that there were toys throughout the office to help distract my little ones. Would highly recommend her practice!
