In 1998, I elected to focus my practice on treatment of patients suffering from tooth loss. As a result of this committment, I have attended a number of courses on denture prosthetics taught by various leading instructors. Through these courses, I came to know Dr. Joseph Massad of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Dr. Massad is known internationally as a denture clinician, lecturer, and teacher.
Through my continued work with Dr. Massad, I have become a member of his lecture and teaching team. Together with our fellow instructors (Dr. William Lobel of Boston, MA, Dr. Richard June of Peoria, IL, and Dr. William Davis of Toledo, OH), we founded the Massad Learning Center in Tulsa. The Center offers advanced instruction in denture techniques for dentists. We also work together to develop new products and techniques to enhance the lives of our denture patients.
Caring for patients suffering from the ravages of tooth loss remains a large part of my practice focus today. It is my sincere desire to help removable prosthetic patients retain function, cosmetics and dignity for all of their lives.
Our office goal, simply stated, is to provide the highest level of removable prosthetic care possible to our patients. As such, we care for our patients in a special environment. While we occasionally perform procedures unrelated to dentures, partials or implants, our focus is on prosthetic care. We always strive to care for these patients in an individualized, private setting.
There are very few offices catering to the needs of the denture patient. Most of these patients resort to being treated by the denture centers, where dentures are produced quickly and in large quantities, with little individual attention given to the patient. While this type of treatment works for some patients, some edentulous people either desire or need more.
Again, our mission is to provide the highest level of prosthetic care to our patients. To provide this care, we give our time and attention to each patient, giving each the individual care he/she deserves.
